Harry stops me by pulling on my shoulder. I spin around with tears falling, i try to run to the ambulance, which is out of sight now.

"Let me go! My best friend is in that ambulance and I need to get to her! She is like my sister! Don't you dare keep me from her! Not now!" I scream at him, his gaze softens.

"I don't- I didn't want to- it was Simo-"

Harry's pov
i couldn't tell her what Simon was making me do.

"Harry...In the car...L-Louis was in the car too. Our best friends are sitting in an ambulance! POSSIBLY DYING!" she says, tears welling in her eyes.

i realize she is right.

She gives me one last hopeful stare, until she turns and runs to the hospital.

I am frozen in the middle of a road. until, i feel my feet moving, catching up with her.

i meet her at the hospital, a few seconds behind her.

She runs to the room the nurse pointed at and i followed.

Cate's pov

I opened the door and stopped in my tracks. Doctors were surrounding my best friend. Louis was in the next table. He wasn't as bad as Kat. Although it was Kat's side of the car that slid and hit the light pole.

"Miss, you have to leav-"
"No." i choke on my tears, they try to push me out of the room and i repeat, "No! NO! NO! NO!" i scream they push me in the hall, i side on the ground with my back to the wall.

i cry into my knees and Harry comes to my side, he says nothing. he has had the same frozen face since he saw Louis in the hospital bed, bleeding.

"I-I'm sorry Cate.." his voice cracks, i look to him and he continues, "I'm sorry you had to find out that way, and I'm sorry this happened.." he says i stare at him with a cold expression.

My hand tightens into a fist, turning my knuckles white.
I smack him dead in the jaw and he is taken back.

he gives me a cold stare, "You bastard! I am more scarred now than ever! How could you even apologize for that now?! How can you even bring that up! Our best friends are possibly on their death beds and you want to talk about us breaking up?! You know what! It's done! We're done!" i say and a nurse leaves the room, with news for each of us.

"Louis seems fine, he has a broken rib and a few cuts and bruises."
she turns to me.
"Kat seems to be much..much more serious, she has lost a lot of blood and has 3 broken bones.....she will be lucky if she lives through tonight..if she does she will still be in critical condition..." she says and i put my hand over my mouth and cry, facing the wall.

*4 hours later*

I walk to the room and sit in between both of their beds.

I look at Louis then at Kat. Kat is barely breathing...
i can't bare to see her like this. I turn back to Louis, his eyes flicker open.

"Louis..." i say.
His eyes show panic. He is having flashbacks of the crash.
His head turns to Kat.

"No...No...No..No.." he says, pulling at his hair. Just about the same reaction i had.
"Louis, she is going to be okay.." i lie, i don't want to scare him..i can't let him be as scared as me.
I am trembling. My whole body is shaking.

I sigh and look into Louis eyes, he has been staring at me, still in panic.

"Louis I am sor-"
"Lo-Louis.." Harry steps in and i rush out the door.

I can't stand this right now..
