Summer Nights

*Niall's P.O.V*
Holly and I played around with some intros, and we found one rhythm that we liked, but we still had to determine the notes. While I played the song with her guitar, she crinkled her brow in an adorable way while poring over her keyboard.
"Maybe this will work. . ." She then tapped out the beat we'd agreed on, and she alternated the notes, changing to a reverberatory electronic sound.
"That's perfect!" I said, standing up and going over to her. She grinned at me over her shoulder, and quickly scribbled the notes she used on the paper. Some loud knocks made the both of us look up in surprise, and Holly groaned, moving to the window.
"Is my window like some kind of express entry?" She asked as she opened it up to reveal the four other boys. Louis fell in, and landed on her bedroom floor with a thump.
"Hello!" Holly rolled her eyes as Zayn crawled in, and Liam followed.
"Where's Harry?" I asked just as he came flying in. Holly and I looked down at the heap of people, and she raised an eyebrow.
"So, I hear you guys are writing a song," Harry casually said, still on top of Liam. She shook her head, laughing, and helping them up. Louis dusted himself off and examined the sheet of paper we'd been writing on.
"Whatcha' working on?" Zayn asked. We shrugged.
"Just a song," I replied. Louis held up the paper in front of him.
"Everything about you," he read aloud.
"Who's this for?" He teased, his voice turning girly. Holly and I rolled our eyes before she snatched the paper away from him and set it back on her keyboard.
"Hey! You almost gave me a paper-cut!" He whined.
"But you didn't," she responded, refocusing on the instrument. I cautiously eyed the open door.
"Don't you think you need to shut that or something? Your mom might hear us," I pointed out, and she grinned.
"Even better," she said, complying. "I have sound-proof walls. My mom and sister didn't want to hear me practicing while they're doing work, and she installed them."
"So you basically have your own recording studio," Liam concluded. She nodded, coming back to us.
"Alright, since you lot invited yourselves over, we're going to put you to work," she declared. The five of us stood straight and saluted her.
"Sir, yes sir!" We shouted. She laughed, rolling her eyes.
"Ok, Niall already wrote this fantastic song, the lyrics are awesome, and the chords and notes are already perfect, so all we're really doing is just modifying it so it's not as acoustic," she clarified. They nodded, and we all crowded around her electric piano.
"Here's what we have so far for the intro, but we still need to figure out what we want to be repeating until either the bridge or the chorus in the background," she informed them, and everyone got to work.

Louis and Liam aided me with transposing the key signatures from guitar to piano, since they both played that instrument, and Zayn and Harry tried out different harmonies. I'd honestly never felt more at peace than during those twenty minutes.
"Got it!" Holly exclaimed.
"Really?" We surrounded her, and she happily nodded. She then played a phrase, keeping the same sound. I could hear how the words would fit in with the music, and seemed great.
"That's perfect!" I told her. She slightly blushed.
"Hey, I was thinking, maybe all five of you could sing the song, instead of just Niall?" She suggested. We all traded glances, and nodded.
"I could help with the high notes," Zayn offered.
"I can do the first verse," Liam said.
"I think I'd do better on the last part of the second verse," Louis mused.
"Maybe I could do the bridge?" Harry asked.
"Sure!" She wrote down who would sing which part, and I got this tingly feeling. Holly looked up at us, a gleam in her brown eyes.
"Let's do this."
