"So what do you want to do?" Joshua said as he took out a cigrarette out of his pocket
"Um, just take me home please" I said as i watched him light his cigaratte
"That's no fun though, we've been sitting here for hours now" He glumly said as he let smoke out of his nose
"Sorry, sorry for telling you to skip with me" I said apologetic
Joshua had agreed to skip school with me, probably thinking we were going to do something exited like go drinking or something. Instead he got stuck sitting with me on the swings of the nearby park.
"It's okay, are you okay though. You sort of blanked out and haven't said a word" He said looking at me concerned
"Yeah i'm fine" I said looking away from his gaze
"You don't sound okay" He said taking my face in his hands. He gently turned my face towards him, making me face his sparkling grey eyes
"Tell me what's wrong?" He gently asked
"It's nothing Joshua, i just don't like it here" I found myself saying. My heart was hurting to much and i din't know why. I din't know why i was acting like this over a boy i didn't even know. I mean what was so great about Louis. Why did i like his kiss so much? Why did it hurt so bad that he kissed Eleanor afterwards.
"What do you mean?" He asked suddenly standing up from the swing
"Is someone giving you a hard time?"
"No, no not at all, it's just" I sighed "How do i say this, the people here are very weird"
"You're probably talking about Louis gang" He said rolling his eyes
"Yea" I said looking away
"You shouldn't waste your time thinking about them" He replied taking the cig out of his mouth
"I'm not" I said
"Whatever it is, you need to stop thinking about it" He said sitting back down next to me
"Okay" I said looking at him
"Let's go grab some pizza" He said with a smile
I really didn't feel like eating. I just wanted to sleep and get Louis out of my mind. The way he looked this morning after i yelled at him broke my heart even more. I don't know why i cared so much but i just did.
"I don't think so" I said declining the offer
"Oh come on, pizza would cheer you up" He said getting up from the swing again
I looked up at his smiling face and stood up. Maybe he was right, maybe pizza would make me forget about the way Louis made me feel.
We walked out of the park, Joshua's arm around my shoulder.It felt weird to have his arm around me and deep inside my mind and heart i sort of wish it was Louis the one doing this. I pushed that thought out of my mind as quickly as it entered and continued to walk away from the park with Joshua.
