I really couldn't believe it. I was hours away from arriving to my new house but yet it seemed unbelievable to me. Just last night i had finally finished packing my last boxes full of my stuff, and now i was sitting on the passenger seat of my mom's car. I felt a bunch of emotions rushing over me. I didn't know whether to cry or to be happy. I hated the fact that i had to start fresh at a new school and that i had to leave all my friends and wonderful memories behind in New York City, but i was also glad that i was moving to a nice and lovely suburbs.
"Sweety, are you alright?" Mom asked me, interruption my thoughts
"huh? oh yea, i'm fine" i sighed
"You look stress" she replied
"I'm tired, and sad and ugh i don't know mom, i don't think i'm ready to go to a new school. Can't you just drive me back to new york every morning?" i asked her, turning my face away from the window and facing her
"Rachel, you know you and Josh have already been accepted at Crismon High." she said, not taking her eyes away from the road
"Yea but, mom its going to be hard for me on the first day. Who am i going to sit with during lunch?" i nervously asked
"Is that what you're worrying about?" mom said, a light chuckle escaping her lips
"Don't laugh" i told her
"Not laughing" she looked over at me with caring eyes "Sweety, you have Josh. You two can seat together until you make new friends" she said looking back at the road
"You're right" i told her, and with that i placed my headphones in my ear and looked out side the car window.
I guess mom was right, i thought to myself. Josh and I were sort of inseparable. He was my faternal twin and ever since we were little we've been really close. I guess i really didn't have anything to worry about making friends on the first day of school.

We arrived at the new house at around eight o'clock. Josh and dad where already there and where takingthe boxes and furniture's out of the moving trunk and into the pavement. There was no one outside but all the lights where on at all the houses in the neighborhood. After getting everything out of the truck, we all began arranging the furniture in the house and taking stuff out of the boxes. By the time we were done it was already midnight. We were all pretty tired by then so we all fell asleep in the new living room.

I woke up in my new room the next morning. I had no idea how i got there but i really didn't care. I made my way outside the room and towards the kitchen where mom and dad where sitting down drinking coffee.

"What time is it?" i asked them rubbing my sleepy eyes
"Morning sleepy head, its already 1:00 pm" dad replied placing his mug on the table
"Really?!" i asked taking a seat next to him
"Yea, we all woke up around 9 and you were still sleeping. So Josh picked you up and took you to your room" mom told me taking a sip of her coffee
"Oh, so that's how i ended up in my room" i said under my breath
"What was that?" mom asked
"Ah, nothing. Mom i'm starving" i replied
"You're in luck" dad said "while you were sleeping your mom here went with Josh to do some grocery shopping"
"Really!" i said excitedly running over to the fridge

They both laughed at me. They knew how much i loved food. After preparing myself some pancakes i went up to my room and took a shower. After i was ready i went downstairs where Josh and mom where waiting for me to go school shopping.
I wasn't really that exited about starting school tomorrow but i was really exited about going shopping and buying new stuff.
We returned home around 7. After going shopping mom decided to treat Josh and I to a movie. After returning home i went up to my room and placed my new clothes inside my closet and changed into my pajamas and went to bed.
