I woke up in the morning to a soft feathering of kisses on my face. "good morning beautiful," Liam smiled, kissing my nose. I giggled. "good morning." I sat up and stretched, I let all of my stiff muscles loosen and I kissed Liam on the cheek. He stood and held his hand out to help me stand, I gladly took it and used as much effort as I could to stand, this belly was starting to get in my way, it's getting really big. I am already 1 month into my pregnancy and I can feel the baby start to grow inside of me. It feels amazing, knowing you are growing life. Liam held me at the small of my back and led me to the kitchen, where there was already an array of food for breakfast, toast, eggs, bacon, orange juice, and fruit salad. "li did you do all of this!?" I asked, utterly over flowing with happiness. He nodded his head and lead me to the table to sit, before placing a plate in front of me. I instantly started to eat, cleaning my plate in 15 minutes. Liam smirked. "hungry were we?" I just giggled, embarrassed, and said "I have two people to feed okay?!" I laughed. "okay okay. But you have a doctors appointment today." I instantly got quiet, my stomach turning and my face flush. I have never been to a 'girl' doctor before, and I didn't really ever want to, but if it is for the health of my baby, I will do it. "hey, it'll be okay! I'll be there the whole time!" Liam said, rubbing my back. "let's go get dressed yeah?" "okay" I let out a sigh as I went to my room, throwing on a pair of jeans and a blouse. I put on some flip flops, my feet too swollen to wear anything else. I threw on makeup and did my hair, walking out to Liam and grabbing his hand. He kissed my temple, "ready babe?" I smiled doubtedly, and he squeezed my hand reassuringly, leading me to the car. ~~~~~we arrived at the doctors and I felt my palms get sweaty. This is for the baby, I kept telling myself, this is gonna be okay. I took a deep breath as we entered. It smelled of rubbing alcohol and blood. I rubbed my hands on my pants as Liam checked me in. "okay, Hazel? We are ready for you!" Liam took my hand and we walked into the room. I took on the look of the room, white tiled floors, baige walls, medical instruments and diagrams covering the walls and counters. There was a patient bed in the left corner of the room, foot part facing out, with a place to rest your legs up. I shivered at the sight of it. Liam rubbed my back as the nurse talked. "and you just have to wait one minute and dr. Kay will be in." she smile and left. I sat on the bed, shaking slightly "hey, I'm here, remember?" he came up to me and hugged me close, his drug-like scent filling my nostrils and calming me. He kissed the top of my head and held my hands. "and just think of what you are going to get after this." he smiled "a beautiful baby, that will be all yours." he smiled, I figured I should tell him, and what better time then now? "and yours" I looked in his eyes . "I want you to be the father li," his eyes lit up and he smiled even bigger."really?!" I nodded my head "of course! You are helping me through it all and you are you boyfriend and we are living together, so why not?!" he kissed me sweetly, licking my lips and biting them, pulling away with a 'pop'. I giggled, "I'm gonna be a father!" Liam said happily "yeah," just then the doctor knocked on the door, interrupting our conversation. "hello, I'm dr. Kay, you must be hazel? And you are, the father?" she introducted, "not biologically , but yes, I'm the father, Liam. Nice to meet you." he flashed her a smile and she sat down "so, hazel, how far into the pregnancy are you?" "one month today." I proudly said. She looked at her board as she scribbled the information down. "do you know the biological father?" "no." I looked down, embarrassed. She just continued writing. "okay, so I'm just gonna do an ultrasound and a little look see. " I nodded my head. "lay down please," I laid on the paper and Liam lifted my shirt over my bump of a belly. She applied the cold jelly to my belly and took out the machine, placing it on my abdomen, I instantly hears the heart beat and saw the baby's little features, my eyes filled with tears of joy. "Liam, look, that's our baby!" I giggled through my tears. "yeah, our baby" he kissed me "it's so beautiful." he said "yeah." I cried, this was the best thing I have ever experienced. I knew t was amazing for a mother to see her child for the first time, but this is ten times better than I imagined. Liam kissed me, "perfect, just like you." I giggled, the doctor snapped a few pictures and shut off the machine, wiping the gel from my tummy. "okay, thats all for today!" I smiled, this wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be, actually, it was ten times better. "thank you so much!" I said, wiping my tears. Liam took my hand and payed the woman, before exiting the office. We sat I the car an I looked at him. "Liam," "yeah?" "thank you for making me come." I laughed, feeling silly about my earlier nerves. "I knew you would like it." I smiled, Liam kissed my cheek. "let's get out of here, yeah?" "okay" and we were off.
