More Than This
Reality
"Mom, Mom,Mom,Mom,Mom,MOM!" I said.
"What?" My Mom asked.
"LET'S GO!" I yelled.
"Calm yourself! We'll be there on time!" She said.
"You always say that and we are always late to everything!" I stammered.
"Well we have to wait on your Dad and your Brother,they're the ones taking us" She said.
I ran to the backyard and saw my Dad playing guns with my younger brother. I looked at my cell phone to see what time it was. It read 5:07pm, August 10th,2013.
"Dad,can we please leave now?" I asked him.
"It doesn't start until 7:30. We still have time to kill." He answered.
"But time is precious,and I choose not to kill it." I said.
"You can wait." My dad said.
"Dad please! What if there's traffic? You know how the freeway gets on regular days, and so many people will be going,the traffic is going to be mad!" I said.
"Fine,I guess we can start leaving. Is your Mom ready?" He asked.
"She will be,let's go she can finish her makeup in the car!" I said.
When we were finally driving, my stomach felt very uneasy. From what I've heard,this experience is the best thing that has ever happened to some people. I couldn't believe that I was about to experience that.
Like I assumed,there was a lot of traffic,but since we left early,we were good on time. When we finally got to our destination, my Dad and Brother dropped us off.
"Have fun" My dad said as he smiled at me.
I had never seen so many girls in my entire life.It made me a bit overwhelmed. When everyone was able to enter the building,my Mom and I rushed to our seats so that we wouldn't get trampled by people. Our seats were all the way in the back. I really wanted front row seating,who doesn't? I was okay though,I was just happy to be there.
A bit later,I heard music playing. The screens on the outer parts of the auditorium lit up. A video began to play. That's when reality started to hit me.
I was in the Staple's Center.
