Never Ever
News at School Part 2
I walked to school slowly that morning, dreading the bulling like always, the loneliness, the boringness. But today, I was also dreading all the one direction fans going crazy and talking about stupid things like meeting them or touching them or stalking them. This was why rock is so much better than pop. No fangirling, just hardcore rock fans who love music. I walked through the doors, and bumped into someone with long perfect blond hair. Stephanie. I tried to hurry away, but she grabbed my bag and threw it across the hall. "Watch it, loser. Are you seriously going to throw yourself into me? What are you trying to prove?" She glared at me as I went to get my bag. My face burned and I felt the hot stares of hate drilling through my head, the most burning one Stephanie's. I was too shy to say anything back, so I just walked away. I mean, I would have said something if all those people weren't there supporting Stephanie. In science I survived through more 1d fans whispering. "Who's your favorite?"
"mines Niall."
"Omg I am in love with Harry"
"Zayn, all the way!!!"
at lunch, I sat at an empty table. My only friend, Ariana came over to sit with me. I was happy to hear her blabbering off about one direction. Even that was better than the loneliness.
"Hey, Ariana. I have a question," I said, interrupting her. "So, One Direction . why do girls like them so much?" I was actually kind of interested in this. If I was going to live through a one direction tour here, I should understand what it is about them that attracts girls. "Well, look at them!" Ariana said. "They're hot, cute, and can sing!"
"Well," I said, "I've never actually seen a picture of them."
"Omg! No way!" Ariana started laughing, and I joined in.
"I know it's weird," I said.
"Well, I have homework for you tonight." I groaned, and we started laughing again. "Go home and look up pictures of them, okay?"
"okay," I said.
English and math passed quickly, and then the dismissal bell rang. I slipped out the side entrance, avoiding the crowds, and started heading home, about five blocks away. Five minutes into my walk, a nice expensive car slowed beside me. My heart started beating faster, and I moved away from it. I was very wary of car abductions. The tinted window rolled down. I expected to see a creeper old man, but instead, a boy about my age or older looked out. I could see another boy beside him in the drivers seat, and movement of figures in the back window that implied there were even more people. He was kind of cute, I decided, with dirty blond hair and a mischievous smile. He stared at me for a second, then spoke. "Hey, do you know where the Gold Lobster Inn is? We're kinda lost." He had a foreign accent, like British, but stronger, and rougher, Scottish, maybe, or Irish. Then I realized; that was my grandmothers inn! "Um, yeah! That's actually my grandmas inn! I could show you there!" He smiled; I felt my heart rate increase. Ugh, I didn't want to like him, he looked like a guy that gets the perfect pretty girl. Why would he even talk to me besides to find directions? Wait...directions. Something seemed familiar. But whatever. "Cool." He said. Again, my heart beat faster. " yeah, it's all the way down this street, Whitetail Court, then a right at Yellow Rose Way, then go down to Sand dollar Lane, and all the way at the end overlooking the beach is a white building with lots of colorful flowers. It's 328 Sand Dollar Lane."
"Thanks," he said. Then, a chorus of thanks from inside the car. The guy I talked to rolled his eyes, and I laughed. "Hey," he said, " I never got your name"
"it's Delilah."
"That's a nice name. I'm Niall."
they drove off, and my "thank you" was blown away in the wind. Then it hit me.
