Past and Present

LIAM’S P.O.V.

I parked the car outside of Sammy’s house and stomped out angrily. Colen had texted me a thousand times asking why I wasn’t here and I couldn’t reply. I feel so frustrated with Sammy, with myself, with everything.

I went right up to her door and instead of knocking, I kicked it open. Sammy was sitting on her couch with a laptop on her crossed legs. She smiled at me as I came in, I ignored her.

“Welcome to my house,” she said.

“Yeah fuck you and your stupid house,” I muttered under my breath.

I felt her arms snake around my waist. I fought of the urge not to shove her away.

“What do you want?” I turned around and asked.

“Come watch this video with me.” She led me to her couch where she turned her laptop towards me.

A cold feeling washed over my body.

There’s my Coke, sitting alone in the washroom. She’s cuddled up in a corner, sobbing terrible heartbreaking sobs. She looked terrible. Makeup trailed down her face as she whispered my name. It was like somebody had dropped an elephant on my chest. My breath came out heavy and unsteady.

“Behave,” Sammy said to me, pulling out those three god damn photos again.

My heart felt like somebody had smashed it into two. I slammed down the laptop, not wanting to watch a second more.

“Why are you doing this,” I growled.

She tucked away her laptop and shrugged.

“It’s fun,”

That’s when I exploded. I grabbed the three photos from her hands and ripped them into shreds. She’s torturing us because it’s FUN. She’s ruining my life because it’s FUN. I can’t do this, I’m not doing this anymore. I stomped out the door.

“I have more copies!” She called as I got into my car, “If you leave, they will be up in seconds.”

I ran my hands through my hair in frustration. I wanted to drive away. To drive back to Coke’s house and forget everything that’s happened. But that’s impossible. I can’t put her through anymore pain.

Slowly, I got out of the car. Sammy welcomed me with open arms.

“I knew you’ll come back for me,” she whispered as she kissed me on the lips.

I didn’t move, I just let her keep kissing me. A tear trailed down my face.
