~Maci P.O.V.~
I finally reached the bookstore, and walked mindlessly around the bookshelves. Again, respect my nerdiness when I say that the bookstore is my version of heaven.
Always has been.
It's quiet today, so I'm free to pick any open couches and read. Of course, once I'm thanking the universe for the quiet, the universe sends in loud laughing guys through the door. Stupid universe. Always trying to spite me.
I sigh and just try to block them out, and get lost in the book. It works for some time, until I hear my name, "Maci? Is that you?"
I look up curiously to see which one is addressing me. I can't exactly tell because their faces are covered with hats and sunglasses, but I only know two people who do that indoors.
And I only know one person with that smile.
"Liam!" I breathe out and smile. I'm genuinely happy to see this guy. I put my book down, and run up to him, but instantly stop, debating if I should hug him or not. But Liam made the executive decision and bear hugged me.
Once again I sighed out happily, and hugged him back.
"Well let's just forget all about Niall! He won't care! It's because I'm Irish, isn't it?" I detached myself from Liam, and saw Niall pretending to pout.
I smile and say, "How can I forget my little rebel?" I hug him too, thinking about that night in the diner.
Once I'm done hugging Niall, I finally notice two others standing there awkwardly. I purposely clear my throat to get Liam's attention, and once I have it, I glance over to the others then back at Liam. I was sending him a mental message, and seemed to get it.
"Erm, guys, this is Maci. She's that girl we met when we went out that night. Maci this is, uh, the rest of One Direction."
The other two hesitantly took of their sunglasses and hats. They both gave me friendly smiles. One boy had spiked dark hair, and shy brown eyes. The other, was a cheeky fellow, with brown curly hair, playful green eyes, and dimples like no other.
I recognized them from the gossip magazines. Harry Styles and Zayn Malik.
I had just officially met One Direction
"Hi, guys." I smiled warmly.
"Pleasure, Maci." Zayn said.
Harry just smirked while eyeing me, and said, "So this is the girl Lou-"
"Harry." Liam gave him a warning glance, and Harry raised his hands in surrender. I gave them both confused looks, and Harry shrugged his shoulders.
"It's nothing, love. I'm Harry." He smiled. I returned it, but I remembered something.
There are five boys in One Direction.
I have four standing next to me now.
One is missing.
The boys with gorgeous eyes.
I must've been in thought for a while, because Niall nudged me slightly, and looked at me with worried eyes. I smiled at him to reassure him. He instantly lit up.
I had to forget. Forget him.
"So what are you guys doing in a bookstore?" I asked One Direction attempting to distract myself.
"We wanted to walk to the mall, but there were large groups of girls, and decided to wait them out in here," answered Zayn.
They all nodded in agreement, then asked me what I was doing in here. I snorted and said, "What dos it look like I'm doing? I came here to actually read. Guess that's something people hardly do for fun anymore."
Liam smiled and said, "Well I wish people did. It's a good thing to do."
I nodded, and we all ended up standing there in silence. It was a little awkward, but I was too lost in thought to notice.
I've run into these boys twice. Normally it wouldn't be that weird, but these are famousboys.
And I always seem to complain and blame the 'universe' for bringing them in. I also think that it does it to piss me off.
But maybe, it's doing it on purpouse. Like, fate or something. Nah. That's superstition speaking. That's not possible. Just a coincidence.
My thorough thinking on the universe is interrupted by Harry clearing his throat and says, "I think we ought to go. We can't hide in here forever. Um, please excuse my forwardness...if that's a word, but Maci," he paused waiting for my undivided attention, then goes on, "would you like to come with us?"
I was taken completely off guard. The guys looked at me expectantly waiting for an answer.
In my head, I'm screaming that this is a bad idea, and that I just met these guys! This is ridiculous.
But I kept my cool, and said, "Wow, um, thanks, but.." I saw their faces fall from the 'but'. I sighed and went with my gut. For once, I'm not going to try and keep in control. I'll just go with it. "I would love to. Where are we headed?" I smiled, and they grinned at me.
"Well where would you like to go?" Niall asked me.
"Well, I am kinda hungry.." I had ignored my stomach up until now, and it was angry at me for it.
Niall laughed and said, "Well then let's get some food for the lady! Besides, I could use some food as well." He smiled, and the boys rolled their eyes. I remember hearing that Niall was like obssessed with eating or something.
I smiled. We would get along just fine.
I gathered my things and we walked out the door. We weren't going to decide where we were eating until we saw a place we hadto go to, and just walked. It felt nice, not being so....in control.
These guys had a good affect on me.
We walked on, and I laughed and smiled, the boy with blue eyes not even in my head.
