"Im home"! I heard as dad got here. I could tell he was happy about something. I had been laying down on my back playing on my phone. I was wearing a towel on my head, a hot pink tank top, and black spandex shorts. "Hey Darcy! How are you feeling today?", he asked walking over and giving me a kiss on the forehead. I gave a half smile. "Why are you so happy", I asked. He smiled. "Well you know how I've been working overtime at the bakery for almost a year? Well a guy just started working there and he is filling in for me. But the good thing is that Im still getting paid as much as I did AND working half time"! He said excited. Wowwww... "But that's not even the best news yet", he said silently. I frowned. "I was hoping the good news was that you broke up with Chloe", I mumbled so that only I could here. The problem was, he heard. He frowned. "Darcy. Spill it! What's going on and what's wrong with Chloe"! He said raising his voice in a way I've never heard before. It scared me. I bit the bottom corner of my lip. She smiled back. They both turned their heads staring at me. "The snow"! I said loudly. He looked at me confused. "What"? He asked. I sighed. "The snow! Chloe threw boiling water at the snow", I said. I probably sounded so stupid. He smiled. "And"? He asked. "And it was cool"! I told him. He lowered his eyebrows trying not to laugh at how stupid I sounded.
