"Im home"! Dad said cheerfully through the door. He gave Chloe a kiss just as I walked in. She smiled at me. "So...today I get a call at work that you punched some girl in the face"! He tried saying calmly. I slowly nodded. He put his hands over his face. "Darcy...what's been going on with you lately. You can tell Chloe and I everything", he said setting a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at Chloe who was smiling from ear to ear. I remained silent and tried to escape to my room hoping they wouldn't follow. But again, I was wrong. "Darcy!! Tell me what's wrong...I will help you with no matter what it is", he was saying. So many thoughts were running through my mind. If I told quickly right now with Chloe right there, would she actually kill me? Ehh... She almost did in the parking lot of my school. Im not risking it again. All of the sudden, I noticed him staring at my face. "Honey! Your cheek is all red and oh my gosh..there's a mark!What happened"! He was talking about the mark that Chloe made by hitting me. Chloe's eyes widened and gave me a look that told me if I don't make up a story in the next few seconds, I was toast. "Well the reason I punched Nichole Parker in the face is because she hit me first", I lied. Chloe smiled satisfied with the lie. He frowned and rubbed it. "Hope you feel better"! He said smiling and walking out of my room. Chloe was still standing there. "Your sooo lucky", she said giving me a death look and following him. She made me lie to my dad...my best friend! I don't understand why she doesn't like me...but I should get to the bottom of it. "Come out here for dinner"! Dad called out to me. I widened my eyes and zoomed to the kitchen. I was starving considering I haven't ate anything all day. I mean, Im super, super skinny for my age but when Im hungry, I can EAT !!
