Finding Myself.
One Direction...
“How was your first hour of school?” Harry asked, smirking.
“Yeah, it was ok. Everyone was asking me about Niall… It was weird.” I looked at him, his hands on the wheel, smiling at the road out in front of us.
“Yeah, that happens.” He laughed than looked across at me seriously.
“What?” I smiled and looked down at floor of the car.
“Wait. Look at me.” Harry was getting serious, so I looked at him, smiling.
“You have beautiful eyes.” His face was expressionless.
“Oh um, thanks Harry.” I couldn’t help it. The smile fell off my face and I could feel the redness that was coming onto my cheeks. I looked back at the floor of the car.
It made me feel much better when the smile appeared back on his face.
The rest of the drive home was silent, except for the radio playing songs quietly in the background and Harry humming along to a few songs.
Arriving at the house, I started getting suspicious. On the way home, Harry hadn’t said anything about the ‘emergency’. I looked at him as we pulled into the driveway.
“Harry... Wanna explain what’s going on now?” I smirked at him.
“You’ll see when we get inside!” He smiled.
I didn’t know what to expect… If it was good or bad, but when Harry’s land rover halted, and we had to get out, I prepared myself for anything.
I climbed the long driveway, watching the palm trees in the wind, Harry walking up to the door in front of me.
When we got inside, everyone was standing there. It looked weird… They all looked so serious.
“Destiny, I know we should have told you this before, and I’m sorry we had to take you out of school because it was your first day and I feel really bad. But this is important and it has to happen now. We can’t control its timing, only management can.” Clara looked at me with hope in her eyes.
Management? What management? This is starting to get freaky.
“Management?” I asked her, tilting my head in confusion.
“The boy’s management.” Clara said, as if I knew exactly what was going on.
I tilted my head more, furrowing my eyebrows.
“One Direction.” She said.
I nodded silently, even though I had no idea what that meant.
I didn’t know it then, but those two words changed my life.
