Laticraz's Mask
Wouldn't be to risky right?
(Amor’s POV)
I glanced at the boy’s car from the rear view mirror and melted into my seat turning to Maya. “Okay now that…that was just embarrassing and awkward they were just watching me..” I sighed shaking my head.
“No kidding, but hey at least your voice is gorgeous! If you sung like a granny moaning than yeah it would be bad, but you sing better than an angel !” Maya shot out smiling as we arrived at her house and pulled up into her driveway. We quickly jumped out and ran inside in a fit of giggles.
“Mom ! Dad! Ya llegamos (translation: we have arrived)” yelped out Maya tossing her bag in the shoe closet. Her parents soon appeared and gave her a hug and kiss . They turned to me and did the same.
“hey mom hey dad” I spoke to them as I hugged them back, ever since Maya and I became friends I had become part of the family according to her parents and I had gotten so close to them that I called them mom and dad, they in returned called me daughter as well. Once we finished our hellos Maya pulled me up the stairs and shut her door once we stepped into her room.
“So Ms.Rios will you be going as Laticraz to the warehouse tonight?” asked Maya a grin slapping across her face as I sat on the bed sending glare in her direction.
“Of course not! Laticraz is a one time thing and I will be going as Amor Rios” I smirked leaning on the bed frame.
“Oh come on Amor! Didn't you like being Laticraz I mean you said it yourself…It was the first time you felt like you were someone with a purpose one more night couldn't hurt plus I’m sure those guys we met at the Diner will be there tonight looking for you especially that boy... Tyler I think it was?” Dam Maya was really convincing, but I had to stand my ground I can’t be taking risks.
“Mayaaa! I can’t it’s no risky and I know I said that, but what if something were to go wrong huh? What then? Not to mention..” I paused finally realizing what she had said about the boys and Tyler, “Wait a second why would it matter if they were there and looking for me? It’s not like I’m interested in any of them or him” I quickly spat standing up from the bed.
“Well that’s a load of bull I saw how you were looking at Tyler, you can’t deny you at least find him attractive” Oh she was right how could I deny that I did find him to be really hot. The way he smiled, his accent, oh gosh and his eyes they we’re like the most gorgeous things I’ve ever seen! Ugh maybe seeing him wouldn't be so bad, I mean he was looking for me or Laticraz to be correct.
“Fine fine I’ll go as Laticraz, but if anything goes wrong you’ll be the one paying the price” I gave her a threatening look, but smiled and walked off into her restroom to shower.

An hour before the warehouse was to open Maya and I had gotten well dressed. I was wearing a white tank top like camisole, blue jean shorts, white converses, my infinity ring and had my hair curled up with one single small braid lock (outfit). Maya however was wearing a pair of skinny jeans with a black tank top and jean vest, her hair up in a pony tail and her bangs down.
“Ready Maya?” I asked her as I plopped onto the bed waiting for her.
“yeah come on ! were going to be late!” she spoke, running out of her restroom and out the door heading down the stairs. Sighing I got up from my seat and ran after her, but was suddenly stopped by her.
“don’t forget this!” she whispered placing the white mask I had worn last week onto my roster. I smiled waiting patiently as she tied it up tightly so it wouldn’t fall. Once she had properly tied it and all, we were back on our way to the warehouse. Once we got there we parked at the vip lot, considering that Maya’s brother was one of the owners and ran inside just when Fernando (Main host/part owner/maya’s brother’s friend) began his announcement. My jaw dropped once he was done speaking as I turned to Maya who had the same expression as I did. Seconds later our attention was brought to a screaming girl.
“She’s here! LATICRAZ IS HERE!” I swear my ears almost popped thanks to that screaming blonde. Once she screamed everyone turned their heads to me gasping. I could feel their eyes starring me down, but just as I felt like they were about to tackle me and rip my mask off I was pulled to the main stage in the center of the warehouse by Fernando. I looked at him in confusion and he simply grinned.
“We’ve been waiting for you Laticraz … care to give us what we came here for?” he asked lifting his eyebrow and forming a questionable expression. I nodded nervously and asked for the song Crazy In Love by Beyonce. Once the room went silent I shut my eyes tight taking in a deep breath and releasing it. As soon as the music began my eyes shot open like, before and I began my dancing. It was like I turned into someone else in that blink. My hands, my legs, everything was all timed exactly and my breaths were short as I moved around the stage. The light hit my body and I froze, but only for a second, before I was up an about again. Everyone was cheering clapping and going “WHOOOO” every so often. My smile grew as I heard it truly pleased me to know I was giving them a show. Finally the song came to an end and as did my dancing with a wave to the people I was off the stage into the crowd. I looked at Maya who was a few steps and shot her look she knew exactly what I was thinking. She ran to Fernando and whispered into his ear , before running back to me people giving her looks such as you know her? Then Fernando began talking again…
“Ladies and gentlemen that was world know LATICRAAAZ, but as much as I’m sure you’re dying to know her please refrain from clustering her she’s asked us to act if she’s just another person mingling is allowed, BUT no fangirling or fanboying on her! Thank you and have an amazing night” He shot me a smile and I blushed, though I doubt he could since the mask was covering my roster. Maya giggled and pulled me to a booth in the VIP section.
“Well that was phenomenal don’t ya think Laaahteeehcrrraz(sarcastic)” she smirked leaning on the booth.
“Do you really think so? I Could of done better don’t you think?” I chuckled sipping a drink from the water the waiter had brought me. We went on and off talking about random stuff and waving to a few people who were beyond happy to see me. I was in the middle of a giggle fit when I heard a sweet British accent appear close to my ear.
“Hello love” he spoke with a husky voice.
