TAELAESHA'S POV

My eyes cracked open.

Let me tell you, being sick is not fun. I slowly got up, and went to my bathroom. I looked in the mirror and stifled a scream. I quickly grabbed a brush, toothbrush, and my makeup bag.

After I finished up making myself look human again, I decided to go out for a walk, and get some fresh air.

I got dressed in some light blue shorts and a white tank top with my Sperrys.

I walked outside, and headed towards the park. The day was bright and clean, with a slight wind blowing around.

All of a sudden, a burst of air blew a chunk of long brown hair into my eyes, just as I stepped across the street. The last thing I remember was the sound of screeching tires.

BRADEN'S POV

"I need you to go and get Taelaesha!"

"Who?"

"Tae. My sister."

"Oh. Okay! Where is she?"

"I'll text you the address. I have to go, I've got the record calling me."

"Sure thing, Braden. See you around."

I hung up the phone, and put my head in my hands.


TAELAESHA'S POV

Dark. Cold. Kind of soft, actually.

Dark... Got lighter. Too light. Painfully bright.

Cold... Got warmer. Too warm. Like I was on fire.

And soft just got softer.


HARRY'S POV

Her beautiful hazel eyes inched open.

"Harry? What are you doing here?" She mumbled.

"Braden's at work. He needed me to check up on you."

"What am I doing here?"

"You were hit by a car."

"So, I'm not dead? Or are we both dead? Am I in a hospital?"

"Yes, you're alive. No, you're not dead. Yeah, you're stuck in a hospital. I'm allowed to take you home tomorrow. But until then, you gotta stay here."

"Okay," she sighed. Then her face relaxed, and she drifted back into sleep.

I looked at her, and my heart clenched. It's hard. Really hard.

Sometimes it sucks to be in love with your best friend's sister.


FF TO THE NEXT DAY - TAELAESHA'S POV

I woke up at 8 in the morning. Today, Harry was taking me home.

He walked in, and my heart clenched. It's hard. Really hard.

Sometimes it sucks to be in love with your brother's best friend.

He helped me out of the bed, and wrapped an arm around my waist. He was just being nice, though. He checked me out of the hospital, and helped me over to his car. I say helped, but he basically carried me.

He drove kinda slow for Harry, but once we got home, he was faster than a cheetah. He ran over to my car door, and opened it. He hesitated for a second, but then he gathered me up in his arms, and carried me up to the door.

"Tae, I'm gonna stay with you for a while."

"What about the boys? Don't you have rehearsal, or something?"

"Well, if it's okay with you, we'd like to practice at your house, so I can keep an eye on you."

"I'm not a child, Harry. I can take care of myself. You don't need to stay, it's okay."

"Taelaesha. I am staying whether you want me to or not. I-I like you. A lot. Please don't make me leave."

I looked at Harry cautiously. "You really like me?"

"Yes! I have for a while. I have since... Since before the X Factor."

"Oh. Wow. It's just... I have too."

Harry grinned at me, and carried me inside, setting me carefully on the couch. Soon, the boys came, and they began practicing their new song.

Once the boys left, Harry stayed for a few days. We were able to talk a lot, mainly about how we were going to tell Braden about there being an us. But all that was important is that I have Harry to help me through anything. And I do the same for him.
