Running Away
Alex's POV
"Alex!"my foster dad boomed.I went downstairs in the living room.I saw him watching football and drinking a beer,"Yes?"i asked.He stood up and walk over to me.He pushed me up against the wall."I just got your paycheck and saw that you only made $80!"he yelled at me.He made me work and give all the money i made to him.I always snuck a little and this time i took $20."I-I'll do better",i choked out."You better",he hollowed and then he slapped me hard in the face.Tears flowed down my face and he just chuckled and went back to his beer and football.
I went into my room and laid on my bed and cried.After about half an hour i grabbed my backpack and packed some money.a pair of clothes,a water,and an apple that was left over from my lunch.
An hour after packing i heard him turn off the tv.His feet stomped up the steps,pounding on each step he took.When his bedroom door closed i waited 10 minutes and when he didn't open it again i opened my door.I looked to both sides and then quietly ran down the stairs.When i went to open the door i thought 'Yes i'm finally leaving1',Then i heard his door open i froze.
He walked to the hall and saw me."Alex!"he yelled.I opened the front door and dashed out.I heard him come after me but i didn't look back."Alex come back here you little shit!"he yelled again but i kept going.Lucky i was a lot faster than him.After 15 minutes of running,he yelled"Don't think this is over!",i smiled to myself.I was finally free.Then i stopped.Where did i have to go?
I went to the park and laid down on a bench.I heard someone come and I sat up in horror i saw a dark figur coming to me i screamed.I think i shocked the person cause i saw it jumped back a little "Are you okay?"the person asked,i realized it wasn't my foster dad.When the person came closer,i saw it was a guy probably a little older than me.He had gorgeous blue eyes and brown hair.I shook my head and started crying.He came over and started hugging me.I cried in his chest.
After 15 minutes of crying i looked at him."Thanks",i sniffed "I'm Louis",he said "Alex", i replied and smiled at him"want me to take you home?"he asked "NO!"i shouted i startled him "Sorry,it's just-"i started but he cut me off"You can stay at my place tonight",i just nodded.
We walked about 10 minutes and stopped at fairly big house.He lead me inside and showed to the guest room."I think the guys are asleep",he whispered to me.The guys?"Ok" i mumbled.
He left to go to the room across from mine "NIght"he said "Goodnight Louis and thank you" i replied "Anytime love".When i got to bed it felt like heaven.I fel asleep right away.
