"We have to leave tomorrow at seven, do you want me to wake you up sweetie?"

"No that's fine, I'll set an alarm. Night mom" I say as I kiss her cheek and return to my empty room.

"Night Aubs" I hear her yell before shutting my door.

Tomorrow we were flying to New York for Thanksgiving Break, which meant I don't get to see Harry for a whole week. He's going to London to visit his grandparents. I keep telling myself to treat this like a test run for when we go to college, and that made me kind of nervous.

I finished packing the last of my clothes, brushed my teeth and set my alarm before laying down on my bed in hopes to get some sleep. I groaned when my phone rang, but a smile grew on my face when I saw Harry's name flash across the screen.

"Hey babe! What's up?" I answered.

"About to go to bed, but I just wanted to call you and tell you I'll miss you! When are you leaving tomorrow?"

"Leaving for the airport at seven... Harry I don't want to goooo"

"It'll be fun, you haven't seen your dad in awhile"

"I know, but I'm gonna miss you"

"We will Skype every night!"

"We better!"

"Shit my grandma is calling me, but we'll talk tomorrow, okay?"

"Ugh okay, I love you!"

"Have a safe flight, call me when you land! Love you Aubs"

Once he hung up the phone I plugged it in to the charger and got comfortable on my bed. It's not as comfy without my man sleeping next to me, and I'm definitely going to miss him over the next week.

At around three in the afternoon, my mom and I finally made it to New York. A car picked us up and brought us to my parents condo in the city. As much as I was still missing Harry, I couldn't wait to see my dad. It's been weeks since I last saw him.

"Hey Aubrey! I've missed my baby girl!" He picked me up and twirled me around. Gotta love having a dad that's a football player.

"I missed you too!"

"So what do you ladies want to do today?"

"I was going to take Aubs shopping"

"I need to take a nap first!" I laugh. "I got no sleep last night, and that baby on the plane would not shut up!"

"Alright well go rest up and then we will hit Barney's in few hours, sound good?"

"Perfect!" I say before rolling my suitcase behind me to my room. Every time I walk in it I ask myself why I didn't move with my parents. I love living in Malibu looking over the ocean, but I've always wanted to live in the city. My room here has a perfect view of New York.

The first thing I do when I unpack my bags is call Harry to tell him I made it. After four rings, he doesn't answer so I figure he's still on the plane to England or sleeping because it's already late there. I guess I'll call him later!

"How was the nap? Are you ready to go?" I hear my mom say as I come out to the living room.
"It was good, yeah let's go!"

After getting to Soho for some shopping, we literally "shop til we drop." We hit almost every store and by dinner we are so exhausted! We ended up going to Savore for dinner before we went back home.

"Are you expecting a call?" My thoughts are interrupted by my mother's question.

"What?"

"You keep looking at your phone!"

"Oh.. I just haven't talked to Harry all day"

"I'm sure he's just busy with his family"

"Yeah probably"

"Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah.. Well honestly I don't know. We talked about college the other day"

"Uh oh.." My mom laughs.

"Well it's just that he plans on going back to England for school and I obviously have been dreaming if going to Stanford since I was like ten!"

"Oh Aubs, you still have months before you need to worry about that! You need to just take it day by day"
"I know, it's just hard to get off my mind"

"You really love him, don't you?"

"Yeah... H just makes me so happy and I can't imagine not being with him. It's crazy I know"

"If you love him, everything will work out! And no it's not crazy, that's exactly how I felt with your dad! But I will not let you get married as young as we did!" She jokes and I laugh.

"Yeah I do not plan on getting married at 19, so you have nothing to worry about"

"But really Aubs, everything will be okay, alright? I know Harry loves you just as much as you love him, so you can make it work"

"I hope."

"Well let's get back home so you can try to call your man again!"

And we did just that. I really appreciate my mom in situations like these. We are so similar, so she knows what I need to hear in times like this.

"Hey babe sorry I didn't answer your call, I met up with my friends"

"That's okay! Are you still with them?"

"Yeah, and Louis wants to talk to you"

"Louis?"

"Yes this is Louis" I hear a different voice on the phone. He must be one of Harry's friends. "You must be the infamous Aubrey!"

"That's me!"

"Well Harry has not shut up about you since he got here!"

"Oh God, what is he saying!?"

"I don't know he is very intoxicated but we all are so it's okay"

I laugh at the British boy slurring over the phone.. At least Harry's having fun!

"Well your boyfriend is making me give him the phone back"

"Okay, bye Louis!"

"Bye love!" I hear him hand the phone to Harry before he greets me again. "Sorry about Lou"

"It's fine, I like him! Who else are you with?"

"Just some of my friends, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn"

"Fun, well I'll let you go be with your friends!"

"Okay, I love you babyyyy"

"I love you too Harry! Don't drink too much" I smile before hanging up. It's good to hear him happy.
