Harry's POV

"Aubrey please open the door! We need to talk" I pounded on the door after I came back a few hours later.

I knew exactly why she ran out this morning, and it's because she's afraid. I should've talked to her... It just all happened so quickly and I couldn't stop myself. I've been waiting for this ever since the moment I saw her. I knew she was perfect since day one.

"Aubs... Please let me in.. It's okay" I knew Aubrey was home because her car was in the driveway, so I kept knocking seeing as she wouldn't answer. This time I wasn't going to leave, I need to tell her everything's going to be okay. I grabbed the door handle and tried to open it out of habit, and just my luck it was open.

"Aubrey!" I yelled as I made my way into the house. When she didn't answer I got a little nervous... She never leaves her door unlocked and I didn't know why she wasn't responding to me.

I ran up to her room and thankfully found her sitting on her bed with her headphones in. She jumped up when she saw me.

"Harry! You scared me!" She gasped as she held her hands to her chest.

"Why was your front door unlocked? Anybody could have come in, Aubrey" I said as I sat next to her on the bed.

"I know.. But you said you were coming back..."

Aubrey's POV

Even though I knew Harry was going to come back, it still startled me when I saw him standing in my doorway. I was nervous to see him.. I had no idea what he was going to say or what I should say, so thankfully he started talked as soon as he sat next to me.

"Aubrey, you don't need to be scared... It's going to be okay" he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me closer to his side, pressing a kiss to my temple.

"Harry, maybe it was a mistake.. You're in a lot of pain over your friend and I don't know. We've only known each other for like a month!" I ran my finger through my hair.

"It definitely was not a mistake... I want to play you something." I looked at him confused as he stood up and left to the hallway, appearing again a minute later with his guitar.

"What are you doing?"

"Just listen" he smiled as he started playing. I sat up on my bed and watched his skilled hand play the chords, and my cheeks heated up when he started singing.. He never told me he sang, and a good singer at that...

"Did you just cover Justin Bieber?" I asked before I could think of anything else. I was still amazed that he just serenaded me. I knew he meant every word he sang.

"Yes!" He chuckled before he became serious again. "I mean it's perfect for this situation.. Aubs, you don't have to be scared, I'm not going to hurt you" he stood up and sat down next to me, taking my hands in his. "It's okay to love someone again."

"I'm scared.." I admitted.

"I know, but you don't have to be. Aubrey I love you, and I will never hurt you. Please.." A tear fell from my eye.

"Okay.." I said as I took a deep breath.

"Okay?!" He said excitedly. He tilted my chin up with his fingers so we were looking in each other's eyes. I nodded and he kissed me eagerly.

"I love you, too, Harry" I said quietly as I pulled back from the kiss. He wrapped his arms around me and held me close to him, pressing multiple kisses to the top of my head. "I didn't know you could sing" I laughed as I wiped away the last of my tears.

"I'm a man of many talents" he joked. "I missed that smile" He said before he stole a kiss from me.

I sat there soaking in everything that just happened... A smile was still plastered on my face. I knew I had feelings for Harry, but I didn't know if I could ever handle another relationship. I was so glad he didn't give up on me.

"Let's go on a date tonight" Harry mindlessly said as we laid quiet on my bed. My head was rested on his chest and his hands were playing around with my hair.

"Yeah?" I asked excitedly as my head shot up and looked at him. I've never been in a relationship with a guy who took me on a proper date.

"Yeah! Wear your prettiest dress Ms. Flynn"

"If you say so, Mr. Styles" I smiled and pressed a kiss to his lips.

I should have never thought what happened last night would be a bad thing... I am so grateful that Harry convinced me otherwise.
