Something Changed
What did I do
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do.
He's walking over to me and I can't even look him in the eye.
"Audrey." He said leaning against the locker next to mine.
Oh god here it comes.
"Harry." I said back punching him in the arm.
"Ow," he said faking his pain, "why'd you do that."
I couldn't help but glance at his smiling face--his playful smile.
"I feel bad" I said quietly shrugging, trying to hide my face.
"Why?"
"No reason. Just drop it."
"Audrey, are you embarrassed of me or--"
I just stood still looking down. I didn't mean to but this just happens to me when I get nervous around a boy.
"No--"
"Well when you figure it out, let me know" he said angrily walking away.
I shut my locker and just watched him walk away.
What did I just do? Why does this always happen to me?
I started walking, picking up the pace as I went, ending up in the cafeteria--it's empty.
I sat at a table near a window and looked out so if anyone passed by they wouldn't see the tears starting to fill my eyes.

Violet's POV
"I'm parched." I said to Tyler as we walked towards the vending machines.
"I'm gonna grab a Gatorade."
"Hmmm what should I get? I think I'll just get a water."
"Ladies first" Tyler said as he gestured towards the vending machine.
"It's not taking my dollar! Ugh." I said before banging on the machine until it came out.
As I took a sip I noticed someone sitting at a table across the room.
Audrey? Maybe I should talk to her...
"Come on" I said to Tyler as he grabbed his Gatorade.
He turned his head--he sees her.
"Hey, uh, is that Audrey over there?"
"Oh yeah, it is."
"Maybe I should go see if she's okay--"he said already turning his body.
"No no you go to class I got this" I said grabbing his arm and giving him a small smile.
He turned his head towards her not sure what to do.
"Seriously, it's fine. I got it."
He left.
I started to walk towards Audrey not sure of what to say or do--hopefully everything's okay.
I sat down next to her still unable to see her face.
"Audrey."
She didn't move.
I got up to squat in front of her to be eye level.
She has her hands covering her face.
"Audrey" I tried again.
"I'm fine--"
"What's wrong" I said tilting my head.
"I um just don't know what to do anymore." She said quietly.
"It's all gonna be okay." I said pulling her in for a hug.
She peeked out from her hands.
"There you are" I said with a smile trying to get the same from her.
She tried--I'll give her that.

audreys POV
I know she's trying to make me feel better, and I appreciate it, but I don't feel like its always honest.
Sometimes she means it--yet I can't help but feel like she doesn't care all that much at the same time.
This is so stupid. She cares about me. All these doubts are pointless.
"Thank you."
"No problem." She said giving me another small hug.
