Secrets
"Ahh come on!! That was crap!!!"I was a little shocked at how into the game Violet was.
"Are you joking me?" Tyler shouted.
Harry glanced back at me before turning around to face the game again.
He was right in the middle of Tyler and violet, Tyler being as far away from me as possible, of course.
I thought Harry would've been unhappy but the complete opposite seems to be happening.
"Alright! Alright! I think he's got it! Hit the puck!!" Were the words coming from both Tyler and Harry now.
Maybe he is okay with Tyler now after all.
Violet turned around encouraging me to get as into the game as she is, but Im just not feeling it.
"Hey, I'm gonna go grab some food. Anyone need anything?"
"Nope I'm good." Said Violet and Harry.
Tyler on the other hand looked flustered as to what to do but he finally came up with a decision.
"I need to use the restroom. I'll walk up with you."
I could feel Harrys eyes on us.
"Alright, no one else?"
No response. Violet was too invested in the game and Harry was too busy shooting daggers from his eyes at Tyler while trying to be discreet.
Luckily Tyler wasn't facing him, so he couldn't feel the terror I was feeling.
When Harry saw that I had noticed his look softened a bit.
I then bowed my head at him a bit as if to say chill out.
**********************
What do I want, what do I want, what do I want?
I kept repeating these words in my head until I got to the front of the line.
"Soft pretzel and a sprite please."
"Coming up." The young blond haired boy said with a wink.
Boys are rather strange.
He gave me my order then tried to chat with me as I was ripping the paper off my straw, tying it in a knot like I always do.
That's when Tyler appeared behind me.
I didn't know what was going on until I saw the face on the boy.
He looked scared, like a deer who judt saw headlights; funny.
I just turned around and walked away sipping my sprite, stopping right near the stairs to view the game from a different angle.
"Why'd you stop?"
"Just wanted to see it from up here. You can go down there if you want." I said hoping he'd catch the hint this wasn't the best idea right now. Harry could turn around any second.
"I don't want to leave you here alone, plus I'm interested in what it's like up here too. Besides, some giraffe was blocking the game half the time down there anyways. I mean when I told him to move over a little he got so offended. I was like what the crap did I just do?!"
I was unable to control my laughter.
"What about the kid back there?"
"Oh he's fine. He shouldn't be hitting on older women anyways."
"Older women? I don't have gray hair or wrinkles!"
"I think I see one now actually" he said touching my hair.
"Wow. Just wow."
We stood there for a minute giving me time to observe Harry and violet.
Violet seemed pretty excited considering every time our team got the puck shed smack Harry in the arm.
I swear once I saw him turn away and say ouch under his breath.
This was amusing.
"What's so funny?"
"Just Harry." I said with a slight smile.
"Speaking of Harry, I think we are on good terms again."
"Yeah, that's what he said."
Relief washed through Tyler.
"You okay there?"
"Yup, yeah. I'm good." He said not convincing me.
"Harry wouldn't hurt a fly."
He seemed surprised at my words.
"What?" I asked concerned.
"You don't know then?"
"No" I said not wanting to hear what Tyler had to say; too afraid of the words about to leave his mouth.
"Tyler?" I asked after another minute had passed.
"You have nothing to worry about." He said as he walked back down to join them leaving me baffled.
What was he talking about?
