I miss him. I haven't seen him for the past couple of days. I hope he's okay. What of he's already sick of me. The thought of his face when he saw me with Tyler, what was that about? I wonder if he knows we're just friends.
"Hey, Audrey" I heard a voice from behind.
I didn't say anything expecting it to be someone else he was referring to.
"Audrey" he said as I opened my locker.
"Uh yeah" I said turning my head to see Tyler leaning, his side on the locker next to mine.
"Finally you answer" he said without a smile.
"What do you need?"
"Nothing I just came to say hi" he said still not moving from his spot.
I didn't say anything expecting him t walk away, but he didn't. He glanced inside my locker.
"Woah, you have a lot of water bottles in there" he said in shock.
"Yeah, I just never really throw them away I guess?"
"I can see that" he replied barely noticing me grab for the door to my locker while his hand touched the exact same spot.
"Oh, uh sorry" I said quietly, shutting the locker and walking away trying to hide my embarrassment. Our hands accidentally touched, why am I so flustered over that?
"Audrey," I heard a voice say right behind me, almost a soft whisper, "are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask" I say still trying to regain my conscience. I just wanted to get my mind off of Harry. This is what I was worried about. Him ruining my focus with a simple thought of when I might see him again.
"You just look upset."
"Well I'm fine" I said flat hoping he'd get the clue I was over talking with him. The more I talked to Tyler the more I wished it was Harry.
"I was wondering if you'd like to hang out Friday...maybe catch up a bit?"
"I don't know" I said looking around me in search of Harry even though there was no one else around.
"Come on, it'll be fun, like old times" he said practically begging, but in a comical way.
"Alright" I said cracking a small smile.
"Pick you up at 7?"
"7?"
"Yeah."
"Sounds good."
************
"Audrey" I heard a voice quietly shout from outside.
Harry.
"Audrey" I heard again.
I practically sprinted to my window.
"Hi" I said trying to act cool, "you know my parents aren't home. You could have just come to my door."
"Oh" he said a bit embarrassed.
he came around to my door, opened it, and said:
"Honey, I'm home" in that way people imitate all the time on television. I couldn't help but laugh. It was kind of cute.
