Harry had invited you over for a special surprise. Since you two were little he always knew you loved surprises. The last few minutes you were getting ready you got a text from Harry saying to wear a dress or skirt, something fancy. Of course you were already dressed in jeans and your favorite One Direction t-shirt that Harry loves on you. You made your last minute changes and ran out the door. It was about 8 pm when you got to his house. You were hoping to see the brown haired cutie open the door wearing an expensive tux and holding flowers. You've liked Harry for about a week now and you were hoping since he wanted you to dress elegantly, that he likes you too. As you rang the doorbell, you got your last adrenaline rush but as the door swung open, you were anything but pleased. Harry came to the door dressed in a pair of old swim trunks and a crop top shirt that read Hipsta Please. He greeted you inside and for a second you felt like an idiot until there was another boy sitting at the kitchen table with an expensive tux on. And of course, he hands you a bouquet of flowers and you two sit down to a romantic dinner. You turn behind you and Harry is already gone. "Niall, crazy seeing you here. I mean I didn't know you had feelings for me." Your voice trailed off as you started to stare at the beautiful scenery around you. "The boys set us up on a date and I didn't want them telling you yet so I made it a surprise!" He sounded so innocent and... desperate. It was almost rather disgusting.
As the night went on, You had to force yourself to listen to Niall chatter on about whatever he was talking about. You felt like you were leading him on but you could tell that he was really in to you. Niall was a cutie pie and hilarious, but you weren't interested at the time and it made you uncomfortable. Finally he stops talking. The food is gone and he takes your hand and you go sit on the couch. At this point in the date you were ready to go home and you didn't want to be in Niall's arms because you never really got close to the other boys, just Harry. He pops in a movie and as soon as it starts, he slowly leans in for a kiss... "Okay Niall, I can't do this. I'm really sorry but I can't lead you on like this. You seem like such a sweet boy but, I.. like.. Harry. And I always have. If you could just not let Harry know I have feelings for him that would be excellent and__" Someone cuts you off. More like 4 boys cut you off. Liam, Zayn, and Louis come running through the hallway and occasionally your hear "I told you so!" and "I didn't see it coming!!" You were beyond confused. "Okay, what's going on?!" The tone of your voice was almost embarrassing so you sunk down the couch a little bit trying to seem unnoticed. "Mackenzie, this wasn't a real date. To be honest, Harry set this up, but it was to see if you could last a whole night with Nialler and not get jealous that Harry was in another room having more fun than you... He likes you too and this was just his way to see if you had feelings for him too." Harry comes walking through the door. He grabs your hands and comes about 5 inches away from your face. "And now we've figured it out boys, she DOES like me!" They all high five each other and share smiles and laughter. "Wait a second!" everyone immediately stops talking, "What if I decided I did like Niall huh? What if he decided that he really did like me too and I just left Harry in the friend zone?" The boys all look at each other in questionable but sarcastic faces. "That doesn't matter because it didn't happen and now you two can be a happy couple and be together forever!" Louis blurts. "Or we didn't get that far in the situation" You hear him murmur under his breath. "Why couldn't you have just told me that you had feelings for me Mac?" Harry asks. "I didn't want it to ruin our friendship! That's why!" You shouted. "Mac, our friendship couldn't be ruined if you told me you wanted to marry me." But the funny thing about it is you do. You just cant admit that either. Harry sees it in your eyes that you are thinking and he puts his arm around you and whispers, "We'll get there someday babe." He kisses you on the lips and carries you bridal style into his room
