Lizzy's POV
"Your lying again. Why?" i said. "How do you do that?" Liam wondered out loud. "Ha you just admitted it. So come on confess." I said. "Umm well i took it up to defend myself. My dad was friends with the owner so i got free lessons I never use it against people i just use it defend myself." he said. "Now what would a sweet guy like yourself need to defend yourself from?" i asked him. Truthfully i was worried about him. "People at school." he said and looked down. "What? Why?!" i asked him. "I don't know i used to have braces and they started teasing me about that and the fact that i had never kissed a girl or had a girlfriend. I guess i kind of just grew from there. It eventually became where they would physically hurt me." he said looking away to avoid my gaze. "Hey its ok I'm sorry. I know how mean people can be." i said and patted his leg. "Really how? You were probably the popular girl that usually starts all of the rumors." he said looking at me and starting to get mad. I was hurt. He doesn't even know me and was already assuming things about me, just like everyone else in this cruel world. I was stupid to think that i could actually make a friend here. I didn't have any friends anywhere else, why here.
Liam's POV
I could tell I had hurt her. I don't what came over me i just don't like to talk about that. I was about to say sorry when she said " I would like you to leave now." What i didn't want to leave i think i was starting to fall for this girl. "Aww Lizzy i know you don't mean that." i said. "Yes i did leave." she said again. "Please don't make me leave im sorry i just dont like to talk about that." i tried to reason with her. "I don't appreciate strangers judging me before they even know me. I was stupid to think that i could make a friend here." she said and went to sit on her bed. "Do people judge you a lot?" i asked and sat on her bed again. "Yes." was all she said back. "Do you wanna talk about it?" i asked gently. "I don't know i have never really talked about my problems before. I never had anyone to talk to." she said. "Well you don't have to if you don't want to." i assured her. "Actually i kind of want to, if you will listen. I trust you." she said. "Of coarse i will listen." I said. "Well ok then it started when people found out about my dad." she said. "Your dad?" I asked her. "Umm yeah..." she said I saw her start to shake and tears build up in her eyes so i quickly scooted over and hugged her. "Shhhh its ok we don't have to talk about that." I said. I wonder why she reacted like that. I don't know but i'm not gonna mention it again. "So they teased me about that and other things. Then i had to get glasses so they made fun of me because of that too. Then when i was 15 my.. my mom. she stopped. I could tell she was trying to be strong and was trying not to cry. But she failed. I quickly pulled her into my arms again and she just cried against my chest. "Shhh." I said and patted her back trying to calm her. After a minute or 2 she stopped. "She got breast cancer and she.. she didn't make it." she said very quietly. "I'm sorry Lizzy." I said. "I miss her so much. i am doing this for her you know. She would always say i had a great voice and that i would be famous one day." She said. "Well your mother knew what she was talking about." I said. "So yeah i have been bullied ever since. Thank you Liam it feel nice to talk to someone." she said. "So where do you live now?" I asked her. "Oh my mom got married before she.. left, so i live with my step dad and step brother." she said. "Oh." i said. Suddenly a pillow came flying at us. "Shut up i am trying to sleep here!" a girl on the other bed in the room said. "Sorry Elaine." Lizzy said. "Hey can I have your phone number?" I asked. "Sure." she said and i handed her my phone. She typed in her info and handed it back to me. "Holy crap it is 4 a.m.! I ned to go to bed." i said "Me too." she said. She walked me to the door. "Goodnight Liam." she said. "Goodnight Lizzy." i said and kisses her on the forehead and left. When i was about half way down the hallway i got out my phone and texted her.
Lizzy's POV
He kissed my forehead. I thought and smiled. Seconds later my phone buzzed. Night <3 Liam <3 Aww i though and sat on my bed. Just then Elaine leaped out of her bed and jumped on mine. "What the crap?" I said. "You like him." she said. "Your awake?!" I said ignoring her statement. "Yup ever since like 10 minutes ago when you woke me up." she said. "Well hi" I said. "Hi i'm Elaine but you can just call me El." she said. "Well um i'm Elizabeth but you can just call me Lizzy." i said. "Sooooo." she said. "Soooo?" i said back. "You are totally falling for him." she said. "Who Liam no im not." I said defensively.
"Oh please you are totally falling for him admit it." she said. Do I like him? "No i don't." i said again. "Yes you do i can tell by the way you looked at him." she said. "Well I don't know. I just like it when he smiles, and the way his hair falls over his eyes. He is just so sweet and caring." I said Holy shit I am falling for him. "Yup you are head over heels for him." Elaine said. "Well i wouldn't say head over heels." I said and blushed. "Yup i knew it El never lies!" she said. "Oh watever I am going to bed." I said. "Ok hey Lizzy I like you do you wanna be friends?" she asked me. "Yeah i would like that." I said. "Awesome goodnight." she said. "Night" i said back. I went to get ready for bed thinking about Liam the whole time. I wonder if he likes me too?
