Lizzy's POV
*fast forward a week*
Today we had to perform again and it was almost my turn to go up. So i was about to start my pre-stage ritual, but then i realized oh shit i forgot my gum. Just then a boy came over. "Are you looking for something?" he asked me. "No.. wait yes do you have a piece of gum?" i asked praying that he would. "Actually i do but why do you need gum you go on soon?" he asked handing me the gum. "Oh my gosh thank you, your a life saver!" i exclaimed and hugged him. "Oh sorry i don't know what came over me there." I said and looked down blushing."Haha don't worry about it." he said. With looks like that i bet he gets it all the time. Woah. Wait where did that come from, Lizzy you dont even know him! I thought. "Well i have to go on soon so bye." i said. "Oh ok well good luck Elizabeth!" he said and started to walk away. "Wait! how do you know my name?" i asked him. "Oh i watched the auditions, it pays to know your enemy you know." he said. "Ah smart boy." i said and watched him walk away. So now i had my gum. i put it in my mouth and chewed 5 times then spit it in the wrapper and put it in my pocket. Then i kissed my hands, put them over my eyes and took a deep breath. Then they called my name and i went on stage. This time i sang "I'm With You" by Avril Lavigne. I sang my heart out and tried to hit the high and low notes. When i was done Simon talked first this time. "Well you have improved massively. I think last time you were a little nervous. I could tell you had more confidence in yourself this time good job love." he said. "Thank you." i said and smiled a real smile this time. Everyone else said i was amazing. When i walked off the stage i saw the boy with the gum again. "Hey!" i shouted to him. he looked around for a moment and then came over when i waved to him. "Hey i have to go in in like 30 seconds." he said. "Oh ok meet me here when your done." i said. "Kk and hey nice pre-stage ritual!" he yelled as he was walking away. i blushed and looked down. he saw me doing that? Well there is nothing i can do about it now so i just shook my head. I watched him go on stage and learned that his name was Liam. He was a pretty good singer he looked like he practiced alot. He seemed kind of... stiff though like he needed to relax a bit more.
Liam's POV
She looked like she was looking for something so i went over and asked her. It turns out she just needed a piece of gum. I wonder why? So i had a piece of gum and after i gave it to her she said "Oh my gosh thank you, your a life saver!" and she hugged me. When she realized what she did she pulled away and said "Oh sorry i don't know what came over me!" and looked down. "Oh don't worry about it i said. Wow that was the first time a girl had actually hugged me, well besides my family. I liked it too it felt... natural.
After that i could kinda tell that she wanted me to leave. "Good luck Elizabeth!" i said. "Wait, how do you know my name?" she asked. "I watched the auditions. It pays to know your enemy." i said. and i kinda payed close attention to your audition i though. "Ah smart boy." she said. I walked over and leaned against a post and watched her. She stuck the gum in her mouth, chewed, put it back in the wrapper, and put it in her pocket. Then she kissed her hands ad put them over her eyes. Hmm looks like a pre-stage ritual. Then they called her name and she walked on stage. She sang beautifully and got a yes from everyone, even Simon. When she came off the stage she yelled to me and waved me over. "Hey i have to go on in like 30 seconds." I said. "Oh ok well meet me here when your done." she said. "Kk and hey nice pre-stage ritual!" i yelled. I saw her blush and I turned around and walked to the stage. I sighed she is so beautiful when she blushes. I sang "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" and i think i did pretty good. It was the boot camp stage so i wouldn't know if i got through for a bit. I walked off stage and went to see what Elizabeth wanted.
Lizzy's POV
I saw him come off the stage and when he saw me he walked over. "Hi" he said. "Hey. So apparently you know about me." i said "Umm i know some stuff." he said. "So sit, tell me about myself." i said. "Well your name is Elizabeth Apple McClellan, your 17, most people call you Lizzy, and you are from Waterford, Ireland." he said. "Is that it?" i asked him. "Yup" he said. "Your lying, you know more." i said. "No i'm not." he said. "Don't even bother lying to me i can tell when people are lying." i told him. "How?" he asked me. "I have a lot of... alone time. So i people watch." i replied. "Oh ok" he said. "Soooo... i said "Oh um i kinda looked you up on facebook... and twitter... and instagram." he told me. " Ah ok so share your knowledge with me." i said. "Well... your favorite color is purple, you have a step brother, you have 3 dogs, it looks like your whole school is following you on instagram, you don't have a facebook or twitter, and you haven't posted a pic on instagram in about 4 years. Why?" he said. "Ummmmm... i just... lost interest." i said not really wanting to go into that. "So you know all about me what about you?" i asked. "I'm really not that interesting." he said. "Oh sure you are. go on." i said. "Hey we are like the last ones here." he said. "Oh i guess we are has it been that long?" i said chuckling a bit. "I guess so well i better leave bye." he said. "Oh no your not getting away that easily, we are gonna finish our talk!" i said and grabbed his hand.
Liam's POV
She was holding my hand. No one has ever held my hand, well besides my mum. I stood there frozen. "What?" she asked and i snapped out of it. "Oh sorry." i said and we started walking. "Where are we going?" i asked. "Oh we are going to go back to my room so we came finish our conversation." she said. "Oh ok." i said acting like i didnt care that a girl was taking me too her room. When we got there she told me that she needed to go to the bathroom. So i went an sat in the edge of her bed hoping that it was ok. "Wait you have a bathroom in your room?" i asked when she came back. "Yeah dont you?" she said. "No! We have to go all the way down the hall!" i exclaimed. "Ha!" was all she said. "Well it makes sense you probably need more privacy." I said. "Why?" she asked. "Well you know you have different body parts and you have you know your period. You girls are weird. i said quite akwardly. "Well what if we are normal and boys are weird because you have different body parts and don't have your period." she asked me. "Hmm i guess i have never thought of it that way." i said. "Hey why did you freak out back there? i just grabbed your... Ohhh." she stopped and said. "you know i was just being friendly right." she said. "Oh i know its just..." i trailed off. "Just what?" she asked. "Well no one has ever held my hand before, well besides my mum." i said and looked down. "Wow i would have expected a handsome guy like yourself would have girls throwing them selves at you." she said. "Unfortunately not." i said. "So tell me about yourself." she said. "Well my name is Liam James Payne, i'm 16, i'm from Wolverhampton, England, i auditioned 2 years ago but only made it to the judges house, and i only have one kidney." i said. "Anything else?" she asked me. "Well i did take up boxing." i admitted. "Oh really? Why?" she asked me. "Umm i dont know i just felt like it." i said not really wanting to get into details.
