Three of a kind
Different Than Me
Sam's POV:
Inhaling a deep breath, I pushed open the door to my dorm. Inside, I could see a blonde girl. She looked... Unlike me.
Trying to be nice, I tried to catch her attention. "Hello?" I asked.
She turned around. I grinned broadly "Im Sam!" The name felt so familiar to me now, I could breathe it.
"I'm Mackenzie," she mumbled. I glanced around the room, noticing our third roommate wasnt here.
We began to chat a little, realizing we had more in common than I thought. Soon enough, our roommate arrived. Turns out, her name is Piper.
She looked popular, definitely not my type of friend. Inside, I shrugged, willing to give her a chance.
I tugged my over sized suitcase to the bed by the window. "I call this bed!" I shouted, being my usual self. They smiled and picked out their own beds.
I began to decorate my corner of the room. Pretty soon, the walls were plastered with posters of famous bands, and my paintings. On my shelf, there was a jar full of paint brushes, pencils, and pens. Also, there was a picture of my only family member: my sister.
I shuddered as I remembered my parents dying in a car crash. My sister, Emily, was my best friend, she was always there for me. Hopefully though, I would make plenty new friends in college.
I set my iPod and headphones on my bed, and looked at the other girl's corners.
"Wow," I thought, "they're a lot different..."
