Niall ran out into the living room "She's leaving, help me guys!"
They all ran to her room just as she zipped her backpack and threw it over her shoulder. Her suitcase sat by her door.
"So, you're just going to run away when things get a wee bit hard,is that it?", Louis told her,blocking the door."We refuse to let you leave,Kat."
Kat stood there looking at the four of them, her bottom lip quivering,"I don't know what to do,he hates me and I don't like feeling this way."
"Did you not think that we would help you through this, through anything? You can't just leave us now. I can't speak for the others but my life would be empty without you in it. Waiting for those babies to be born gives me something to look forward to,something positive." ,Zayn said touching his forehead to hers. "Besides, who would give me hell?"
Harry stepped forward and pulled her to him. He hugged her and kissed her right by the ear,"Don't let me go,Kat. I can't lose another person I care about."
"Kat,listen to the lads,please. We'll figure something out,yeah?", Niall told her hugging Harry and Zayn.
"Aww ZaNirry, how adorable." Louis said, throwing a pillow at the group.
"Listen,guys. I'm really scared and don't know what to feel,do, think or anything. I can't stand thinking someone hates me for no reason.And Liam hates me."
"Good thing, you haven't seen your Twitter lately,lots of girls hate you." Louis whispered.
"What,Lou?"
"Nothing, let's just figure out what to do about Li-li."
They grew silent for a moment, not sure how to explain Liam or his whirlwind emotions. He was not as easy to figure out as people thought he was. When he felt something, he felt it to the core of his being,no matter what the emotion was.
Their heads jerked up at the sound of Liam's door opening. He popped his head into Kat's room and waved his hand to Kat,motioning her to come to him."Can we talk, in private please?"
Kat looked at the boys ,who all four nodded their heads yes.
"Go along,love,Li won't hurt you.",Niall told her patting her back.
Kat swallowed hard and walked slowly towards Liam. Her heart was pounding in her chest. She could only imagine what he would have to say to her. Truthfully, she was afraid. Liam led her into the room and closed the door,locking it.
"Errm, I locked it so they wouldn't barge in."
"Okay,Li."
"Listen, these walls are paper thin and I heard everything you said. I don't hate you,Kat. I don't ever think I could. If anything, I love you for what you're doing for me,for all of us. We all wanted children but it never worked out. We all ended up alone on way or another. I just want to make sure you and those two babies are as healthy as possible. I may seem controlling but that's just the way I am. I believe that if they give you rules, you follow them. I care for you, believe me, I do."
"Umm, Liam, it's actually not two babies anymore,its umm, five."
"What are you talking about, I was there when the doctor said twins."
"Yes, but he called early and said from my blood work results, it was quintuplets, one from each of you.",Kat whispered,not sure how he would react.
"Holy shit!" ,he yelled as Kat flinched.
Liam began to swing his arms and dance around,"Do you realize what this means? One of those babies is for sure one hundred percent mine!"
His celebration continued until he bumped into the dresser,his swinging fist going right through the mirror."Sit, that hurt."
"Liam, damn, are you alright?",Kat yelled out.
The door started shaking and before they had time to unlock it, Harry came flying through.
"What the hell happened? What did you do?"
"He got happy, danced badly and hit his mirror.",Kat informed Harry.
Harry ran his hands over his face,relieved that Kat was unharmed, He was worried that Liam may have indeed hurt her.
"Can someone get me a bandage please, it seems I'm bleeding?" Liam said before fainting onto the floor.
Niall and Louis popped their heads in just in time to see Liam faint.."He so cannot be in the delivery room when you have those kids,Kat. He'll end up being a patient too.", Louis laughed.
"Come on Zayn,help me put him into bed, then we can bandage his hand, If we don't ,he'll faint again as soon as he wakes up.",Niall said,elbowing Zayn in the side.
"Guys,I'm going to help Kat unpack and see if I can get her to take a nap,yeah?", Harry told Louis.
"Go for it,Haz, she needs to rest her fat arse."
"Stop talking about me like I'm not in the room. Geeze, jerks!",Kat said,kicking Louis in the shin.
Harry wrapped his arm around Kat's waist and led her back into her room. He threaded his fingers through her and led her over to the bed, sitting her down.
"I meant what I said a bit ago.I can't lose another person I care about. Ever since I got into the band, women only wanted me because I'm Harry Styles of One Direction. They never wanted just Harry, the guy from Holmes Chapel. I fell in love several times, only for it to end badly for me. I won't say I love you, I can't say that but it's something close to it,Kat. You're so different from anyone. You don't even treat us like we used to be your idols, you treat is like the five idiots we are. We're human,just like everyone else,flaws and all."
"Harry, I'm sorry."
"Just say you'll stay and we can all pretend this day never happened."
"Okay, Harry. I'll stay but only because I prefer being thought of as different."
"I'll let you in on a little secret. If you had actually left, I would have followed you and kidnapped you like a bad One Direction fan fiction."
"I don't know if I should be creeped out or flattered. You're so crazy.I am getting tired, you were right, my fat ass needs a nap."
"Can I cuddle you until you fall asleep?"
"I suppose so.No funny business though."
"You have my word. Scouts honor."
Kat laid down on the pillows and Harry next to her. He pulled her into his chest so the front of her body was unencumbered and her stomach was free.
"Comfy, sweet?"
"I am, thank you."
Kat was almost asleep when his hand gave her ass a squeeze,"Your bum is not fat!"
"I said no funny business,Styles."
"I lied,I never was a scout,Kat."
Zayn,Louis and Niall stood in the hallway giggling. They had heard everything Harry said and couldn't believe how easily he could turn on the charm. He was right about one thing though. For each of them, they had feelings for her,not love, but something close.
Sam and Arrabella sat reviewing the footage. Sam had a devious plan to get more viewers and boost the ratings. Twenty-seven million people watched the last episode and while that was major, it wasn't enough for Sam, she wanted more.Better ratings meant more revenue and sponsors.
"So, in post,when we edit, we should make it look like Liam hit Kat instead of the mirror. People will be utterly shocked."
"Aren't you worried about what may happen to Mr. Payne's reputation."
"Honestly,no. They're just cash cows to me.", Sam said sipping her soy latte'.
"Sam, I don't think this is such a good idea."
"I don't pay you to think, I pay you to be a good little gopher."
"Yes,Sam" "Bitch"
They both started laughing. Neither one of them cared about the guys or Kat. Just the cash. It's all about the cash. If Payne got ruined, so be it.
Liam crept into the room and saw Harry asleep, his arms tight around Kat. Liam looked around and found what he was looking for. Kat's candy. He grabbed the bags and leaned over close.
"You thought I'd let to you keep this garbage? Silly Kat.", he planted a kiss on her forehead and left the room.
"Guys,we have some candies to eat",he yelled walking in the game room.
If it was gone, she couldn't eat it. Liam patted himself on the back, glad he was so smart. From the way he saw it, he was saving her.
