Upside Down
Another Day
Bzzz bzzz I shook my head uncomfortably hearing the buzzing not far from my ears, my eyes slowly cracked open taking in the light that peeked in through the window. Parting my lips I took in a deep breath filling my lungs completely, before releasing a long yawn stretching out my arms as I sat up. I pushed the covers off my body turning and getting up from my twin sized bed, my hair in a complete mess, but it was nothing out of the ordinary nothing had been out of the “ordinary" lately. Titan gazed at me from his bed tilting his cranium as he observed “morning titan" I spoke with a groggy voice managing somewhat of a smile as he greeted me back with a bark.
An hour passed and I was showered, changed, and prepped for the day. My outfit consited of a capella hat, a grey plain short sleeved t-shirt whos sleeves were folded neetly giving the ensemble an edged look. For bottoms I had jean shorts that revealed my tanned thighs, they went along with my matching sandals with black straps, forever 21 cross ring, and as always my moon necklace which never came off of my neck. Yes it was a rather plain look, but school wasn’t exactly a place I dressed for unless I was forced to for a class project. It was my sophomore year and my life had yet to find a meaning that is if it ever got one.( Sophia's outfit)
My mother was already gone by the time I walked out of my room to head for the bus stop along with the idiot which was my stepdad. The bus stop wasnt to far of a walk considering it was in front of my house, I leaned on the porch rail and began my await for my beloved chariot which would take me to drama central, every day had its scenes. Switching my Ipod on I tapped my foot along to the beat of lindsey sterling’s crystallized losing myself in the music a few seconds into the song. Somehow I always began to dream in every song I listened too, I dreamt of impossible dreams such as being an amazing singer or dancer, but that would certainly never be happening. I was in mid dance sliding swiftly across my porch when the honking of a motor vehicle grasped my attention, my cheeks were flushed with red as I observed all the faces on me through the window, they had seen my ridiculous moves. Sighing I stepped into the yellow chariot taking in the teasing glares from those who had just seen my little dance routine, they were probally all laughing, but with all the thinking I was doing I could barely hear anything. Finaly I reached the back taking a seat by the window and shoving my earphones on relaxing into my music.
We arrived at school a while after the bus emptying out as students headed into the building. I walked alone feeling as though people were staring at me watching my every move, but those thoughts went away when I heard my friend giggle as she tackled me
“Fay!" I yelped from my lungs tumblIng to the floor releasing a laugh as I looked at her,
“sorry! I just really have to tell you something " she whined standing up and giving me a hand.
Rubbing the arm on which I had fallen on I shook my head taking Fay’s hand and getting up “it’s fine, but tell me what is it you have to tell me sooo bad that you knocked me down for?" I asked feeling a slight pain in my arm it would probaly bruise slightly.
“Jay asked me out last night…and I said yes " her voice was ecstatic almost too ecstatic, but Fay was always in that kind of mood you know happy and all at times I wished I was like her maybe my life would be a tad better if I had her optimistic ways.
“about time you two get together you’ve been talking for the past three weeks I’m glad for you, I really am" I said sincerely, before hugging her
“thanks soph ! By the way how’s your love life lately ?" She quickly asked winking and giving me a nudge on the shoulder
I hesitated, but then opened to speak “oh you know the usual I’m in love with my knight and shinning armor and he loves me as well every night we talk before riding off into the sunset " I raised my hands fluttering them in the air in a magical short of motion smiling cheesely, before breathing in pulling my hands to my side and frowning slightly “kidding, in reality Fay … my love life doesn’t quite exist at all and at this point I’m at the verge of giving up! I’ll just let things fall into its own pace who knows maybe I’ll end up with Zayn Malik! " I emphasized the singer’s name giggling as Fay shook her head pressing a hand to her forehead
“well even if you don’t end up with him I’m sure you’ll find someone" she spoke hugging me tightly for a moment until I broke the contact and sighed “gotta go ! I need to do get a head start on an art project for mrs.traeh " my tone a little hesitant as I waved goodbye and headed for first period.
