Lilly POV

The entire ride from the airport to the hotel was silent. I was terrified Derek would try to touch me again. I was confused, shocked, and angry. Why did Derek do that? Did he know about how I had gone back and forth between Louis and Harry? Did he think I was a slut and would just let him have his way with me? How was I going to tell Louis? Could I tell Louis?

So many questions about Louis swirled in my brain. I am sure he would believe me, but I didn't want to cause trouble between him and management. A little part of me worried that he would think I came onto Derek. I mean, I did break up with Louis for Harry and then went back to Louis. But, that was because I loved Louis, not because I was a slut who was a band groupie. Decisions, decisions. What to do?
As we pulled into the entrance of the hotel, I began to panic. I needed to make a decision on how to handle this. My decision was to let it pass and say nothing as long as Derek didn't try anything else. I didn't want to be a troublemaker between the Larry drama and the crazy story in the tabloids. Louis just doesn't need me making it worse with management.

The car door opened and I was grateful that it was the valet and not Derek whose hand reached to escort me through the door. I walked as fast as possible through the lobby and to the elevators. I noticed a semi crowded elevator was just about to close and I yelled for the people to hold it for me and Derek. I was NOT going to be stuck in an elevator with him. Derek's looked at the button panel and relief washed through me when he didn't push an unlit button. Thankfully, I won't get off this ride alone with him. I was silent the entire ride up.

Finally, we reach the top floor and I walk out and wait for Derek to walk in front of me so I can follow him to Louis' room. As we walk all the way down the hall towards the corner penthouse suite, I start to panic. What if he is taking me to his room? Oh God. Why am I so stupid? I should have text Louis to check his suite number. I pull my iPhone out of my pocket and go to text Louis when Derek speaks up.
"We're here princess," he says sarcastically as he knocks on the door.

"Be right there!" I hear. Louis' voice and I am relieved and excited all at once. I can feel the smile nearly split my face in half and I start bouncing on my heels in anticipation of seeing my handsome boyfriend. I notice Derek turn and look at me with a puzzled expression on his face.

"You really love him don't you?" He asks in disbelief.

"Of course I do you ass!" I am furious he questioned my feelings for Louis.

"Interesting," he mumbles quietly to himself. I stare at Derek as he looks lost in his thoughts when suddenly Louis opens the door.

The look on his face was priceless. I think his smile was as big as mine. He pushed Derek out of the way to grab for me, pick me up, and swing me around in the air. Finally, he slid me down his body with his arms wrapped tightly around me and kissed me. When we pulled away, he stared me in the eyes with a huge smile.

"My girl! I missed you so much love," he said as he kissed me again.

"I can't believe I'm really here with you Lou. I missed you so much," I say into his hair as we stand in the hallway hugging for what seems like minutes. We are interrupted by Derek clearing his throat and it causes me to have shivers and stiffen up; I can tell Louis notices my change in demeanor as he looks at me questioningly.

"Okay star crossed lovers, can we please take this inside?"

"Don't be a twat Derek. I'm saying hello to my girl," Louis said in an irritated voice.

"Fine but do it inside where we can avoid another wave of pics from paps about your relationship in the rags tomorrow?"

"Fine. Come in babe." Louis wraps his arm around me and takes me into his suite. Derek follows us in unfortunately.

"Okay before you two get lovey dovey, we need to address this engagement," Derek wastes no time getting to business.

"There is no engagement and you know it," I spit out and Louis looks shocked at the tone I use. Actually, I shocked myself, but I hate this guy.

"We'll see about that. After all the scandals you two have caused with Harry and the fans thinking that Lilly is a gold digging slut, we need to take action in the press and the two of you getting engaged will shut everyone up and give the band good press again.

"What??!!!!" Louis and I both scream.

"You heard me! You two are getting engaged to clean up the mess you made!" Derek shouted. Louis went to get to his feet, I pushed him back into the love seat, rose to my feet, and I snapped.

"What the hell is wrong with you Derek?! You knew you wanted Louis and I to get engaged and you tried to force yourself on me today???! What kind of sick fuck are you??!!" He rose to his feet and got into my face and Louis jumped up to separate us. He grabbed Derek 's shirt collar and held him in place.

"Derek! What the fuck did you do to Lilly??!!"

"Relax! It was a test and she passed!" Derek yelled but was laughing. It pissed me off even more.

"Test?! What are you about??!" I screamed.

"Management thought you were a good digging fame whore who was playing Louis and Harry and needed to be exposed. So, I wanted to see if you responded to my advances. Let's face it. I'm better looking and richer than sassy pants here. You showed we were wrong about you, but now we need to fix this PR mess," he says like he's telling us what time it is.

"You arse!! You made a move on my girl!!" Louis rears back his fist.

"No!!! Don't do it Louis!! He's not worth it!" I beg.

"No he's not worth it, but you are!!" with that, Louis punches Derek and he slumps to the ground. Louis jumps on him and prepares to throw another punch and I throw myself at him to stop him.

"Come back to me. Lou. Don't stoop to his level. I love you for defending me. Please baby," I whisper and he looks at me staring at me through different eyes.

"Oh God Lilly! Are you okay? Did he hurt you? I am so sorry baby," he release his hold of Derek and twists to hold me in his arms and pepper kisses all over my face.

"Louis, I am fine. I swear, he frightened me but pissed me off more than anything. I'm just relieved he wasn't really interested in me."

Louis and I stand up and look down at Derek still lying on the ground who is now looking up at us.

"A hand up?" Derek asks Louis, who responds with a grunt and reluctantly helps Derek to his feet.

"Please leave before you ruin our happy reunion," Louis motions for Derek towards the door for him to leave. Derek begins to walk and then sits in the chair instead do proceeding out of the suite. Louis looks exasperated, grabs my hand, and takes me back to the love seat and wraps his arms protectively around me.

"We still have business to discuss and I'm not leaving until this is resolved." Derek slumps back in the chair making himself comfortable.

Louis POV

I sit staring at Derek in disbelief. I want to kill him. He makes a move on my girl and scares her and now is trying to rush us into an engagement.

"We have plans Derek. This really isn't a good time. We can discuss this tomorrow," I say in an irritated voice.

"Then, let's get this over with and you two can get to bed," the smirk on his face makes me want to punch him again.

"Derek! I am going to knock you out again if you say one more insulting thing to Lilly!" I feel Lilly cuddles more into my side and Derek looks pissed.

"Look, I don't deal in Monopoly money. One Direction is big business and it's my job to protect that business."

"One Direction is my job, not my life. You cannot run my life."

"Louis, maybe I should go home and we should end our relationship. I don't want to be a liability," Lilly says and it breaks my heart she would consider us breaking up.

"NO!! I will leave the band before I give you up!" I grab her protectively and pull her onto my lap.

"See Lilly. Louis loves you more than anything. An engagement isn't a stretch of the imagination," Derek chides.

"You can't force us into marriage for the band. It's not reasonable. Louis, tell him this is insane," I look at her and I don't want to argue about this. I want to get on with the special evening I planned.

"Derek, this really is a lot to take in. We haven't seen each other in awhile. Would it be too much to ask you to give us an evening of peace and we can talk tomorrow? I'm sure we can work out something." I say trying to sound reasonable. I still want to kill him, but right now I want to be alone with Lilly.

"Fine. I will be back at 10am tomorrow. Don't think of skating out on me or I'll make the announcement myself." Thankfully, he gets up and leaves. I turn to Lilly and see she looks a bit shaken up. Time to distract her so I kiss her passionately and hold her in my arms. We pull away and smile at each other.

"Hello," I say trying to start our reunion all over again. It works because she laughs.

"Hello," she says shyly, looks down, and plays with my fingers.

"Let's forget about Derek. I have a surprise for you," Lilly pops her head up and smiles.

"I love surprises," she says like a little child.

"And I love you," I peck her nose and lift us up off the love seat, "come with me." I take her hand and walk towards the door that leads to the private rooms of the suite. "Close your eyes," I place one hand over her eyes and open the door with the other. "Open!" She opens her eyes and gasps.

"Louis! This is amazing!" She runs into the room and spins around in amazement looking at my handy work. I littered the room with bouquets of roses. Flower petals are scattered throughout the suite and candles are lit on every surface.

"You like it?" I ask nervously.

"Love it!!! Did you do this yourself?" I feel myself blush.

"Yes."

"Thank you Lou," she rises of her toes, wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me.

"Anything for you Lilly." We kiss again and then I want to get on with our special evening. Suddenly, there is a knock at the door.

"Oh please don't let that be Derek," Lilly groans.

"Probably your luggage." I say as I pull away and walk to answer the door. I am correct as the bellman stands in the doorway with Lilly's bags.

"Please take those to the master bedroom," I instruct. I notice Lilly's eyes go wide.

"Oh don't look at me like that love. I want to feel you next to meet at night," she blushes and I swear I fall more in love with how sweet she is.

"Okay," she looks down at her feet. She's obviously nervous. I walk over to her and hold her in my arms.
A few minutes later, the bellman comes back out, I tip him, and he leaves us.

"You had a long travel day. Why don't you take a soak in the tub while I get our dinner ready." She looks at me in horror.

"You're going to cook Lou?" I burst out laughing.

"No love, I ordered your favorite Chinese dishes from a nearby restaurant. I'm just going to follow the heating instructions."

"Good. I didn't want the hotel to burn down." Really? She's sassing me!

"That is hurtful!" I pretend to be devastated. "For that you will pay!" I begin chasing Lilly as she runs through the suite. Eventually, I corner her in the master bath. She skids to a stop and takes in the scene. The oversized garden tub is against a glass wall and overlooks the city, which is beautiful with the just nighttime city lights to look at. The room has a soft glow from the candles placed around the room and rose petals are scattered on the floor in this room too.

"Wow Lou. I am speechless," Lily says and has the most loving look on her face.

"I just wanted to do something special for you," I say as I walk towards her.

"Well, you definitely did," Lily wraps her arms around my waist and pecks my lips.

"Love, why don't you pull out a change of clothes and I'll pour you a bath. Then, you just relax in the tub while I get dinner warmed."

"Sounds perfect Lou."

I walk over to the tub, turn the knobs until the water is hot, and pour bubble bath I to the running stream of water. Lily comes back into the room with her things and I give her a quick peck on the lips and leave her to enjoy her bath.

**Half Hour Later**

I've got dinner ready, the wine poured, and everything was ready to go. I was nervous because I had a big surprise for Lilly and I was afraid of her reaction. I'm hoping that fate is working in my favor tonight. Time to get the show on the road.

I walk back to the master bath. The French doors still were closed. I'd be lying if I said the thought of Lilly naked in the tub, her skin turning a soft pink under the warm water didn't excite me. Taking a deep breath, I knock on the door.

"You almost done babe?" I ask.

"Yes Lou. I got out a few minutes ago. I'll be out as soon as I finish dressing," Lilly shouts through the door. Again, the thought of her naked runs through my mind.

"Okay, meet me in the dining room."

"Soon as I find it in this maze!" She yells laughing.

A about five minutes later, Lilly finds me and the dining room. We enjoy our dinner. Well, Lilly enjoys hers and laughs at me as I struggle to use chopsticks. Eventually, I give up and use a fork. We spend our meal time talking and catching up with real conversation.

"Lilly, would you like to have dessert out on the patio?" I ask.

"Sounds great," Lilly gets up to clear the dishes and I stop her.

"Babe, the butler and housekeeper will be in to clean everything." She mouths "o" and I chuckle. I get up and escort her to the patio and sit her on cushions set in front of the fire pit and lay down next to her.

"S'mores for dessert okay m'lady?" I ask as I grab the box that holds the ingredients.

"Sounds perfect Lou," she sighs and lays back on the cushions with a smile on her face. She looks so lovely. I can't resist putting the box down, pressing Lilly further into the cushions, and kissing her. I start running my hands up and down her body and I yelped when she grabbed my bum and squeezed. Lilly smiled into our kiss and then I pulled away.

"Lilly! I am shocked!" I fake disgust.

"Come on Louis, you know you loved it," she nudges me.

"Yes, but no teasing," I pout.

"Sorry. Here, I'll make you a s'more to make it up to you," I panic.

"No!! I am I charge of dessert!" I yell a little too strongly and Lilly looks alarmed.

"Sorry babe. I-I just want to do everything tonight for you," I relax when she gives me a smile.

"Sure Lou, but you are spoiling me."

"I want to spoil you. Forever." I give her a quick peck on the lips and before she can respond turn and begin making s'mores. I hand Lilly one and she makes the cutest noises while she eats it and I can't help but chuckle.

"What's so funny Lou?"

"You. You never make those noises when I kiss you," she blushes and I chuckle more.

"Keep it up and they'll be no more kisses," she scolds me. I grab her and kiss her hard. I bite down on her lower lip and when she opens her mouth I slip my tongue inside. I explore her mouth and Lilly let's out a moan from deep in the back of her throat that was erotic. I pull away in satisfaction and smirk at her.

"Now, I'm happy. That moan was for me." She shakes her head and laughs.

"You are crazy Louis."

"Nope, just in love. I want all your kisses." I smile.

"You have them already."

"Forever."

"Yes, forever Louis."

It's time and I'm nervous because I know it's so soon, but everything is working in my favor tonight.

"Lilly, you know when I saw that magazine article I was very upset."

"I was shocked," she responds and looks sad.

"I was upset because I realized I wanted it to be true." Lilly looks up at me with big eyes and then composes herself.

"Well, if Derek gets his way, you'll be a happy man," she sasses.

"Derek has nothing to do with us. Our relationship is on our terms and I'd like to establish some right now."

"Ooo-kay Lou," Lilly whispers.

I get face to face with her and pull the small box out of the box where I had the s'mores items and Lilly looks scared when she sees it. I pop the lid to reveal a 5 carat oval cut sapphire with an eternity band.

"Lilly, I know I want to spend forever with you, but I know it's too soon for a formal engagement. So, what I want to ask you is if you will promise yourself to me with the intention that a proper engagement will come down the road?"

Lilly is silent for what seems like minutes. Her eyes are filled with tears and she finally smiles.
"Yes." It barely comes out as a whisper. I slide the ring onto her ring finger and we full on snog. When we finally come up from air, Lilly giggles.

"What's so funny?" I quirk an eyebrow.

"I was just thinking that was one way to beat management at their own game without trying."

"Very true love. Now let's go to bed. I want to hold you all night." We get up and I carry Lilly inside.
