The sadness that filled her eyes, explained more than any words that she might have spoken sooner or later. This youthful girl, that is as pretty as a daisy, must have been gone into a lot tonight in order to be this broken. I handed her a cup of tea and I sat beside her as I smiled a little, hoping she might cool off. “What’s your name darling?” I asked her as she took a sip from her hot mug. “(she sniffled her nose and responded weakly) M-Maddison…”I patted her hand that was resting on the table. “That is a very lovely name my dear. I know that you don’t feel like talking right now, but please just try to relax and tell me what is on your bother?” I spoke those words warmly; gosh I don’t like seeing such a girl in this drastic situation. She took another sip from her tea, as she maintained her breath and spoke: “I had some trouble with my friends and my boyfriend, and it reached to the limit that I couldn’t hear anymore insults so I ran away… (She then went into more and more details, and told me her entire story from the moment that the club got destructed till the moment she came here.)"



I felt so sad for her. I am 63 and I have been through some rough edges in life; but not as much as this tortured 20 year old girl. I was never married, because I felt that my career would be always more important than anything else. And by career I don’t mean being a bakery owner, when I was younger around Maddison’s age, I was ballerina. I reached to tons of successful performances with a ballet crew; but then when I had my leg injury, I stopped and knew that no one would accept me in the industry anymore. I then knew that a girl with no education like I was would rather help her parents in the bakery that I now own, after they have passed away ages ago. I am alone in this world, and I always dreamt of raising a kid of my own, having a family, but then I guess these are always going to be dreams… Until an unexpected idea stroke me all of a sudden. “How about I help you out darling? I don’t want anything from you other than helping me in this shop. You can live with me, I live alone. I know how much this can hurt, but until you regain your emotional and physical strength, you can help me out here. How about it?” I popped this question and in the instant her eyes glowed; it was as if she was waiting for a real warm welcome from my side.

Maddison’s POV:

I have no family, my friends are going to be happier with their boyfriends, my only love will forgive me eventually, and at least no one including Melrose will find me with Barbra. She is really kind to me; I mean she didn’t even know me that much but look how kind of her to ask me this proposal. “I’d love to, thank you so much really… I can’t go back anymore…” My voice was still weak from all the screaming I earlier encountered, but then I guess the tea will help it come back to normal. “From now on, call me Nana, I am your family and I want you to never get hurt anymore. Look at us now! Enough of this depression Maddison, your new grandma wants you to lock the shop and follow her to the car. Hahahahah come along dear.” She was cheering me up, I didn’t believe that someday someone would care for me and give me the missing loop of my life; the family feeling. I HAVE A GRANDMA!! THANK YOU GOD FOR GUIDING MY PATH. I laughed lightly as I stood up and she walked in front of me; I closed the light and locked the door with the key she handed me, before I went inside the car.

Zayn’s POV:

I searched every corner and every ally possible, but still no sign of my angel at all. I sat on the side walk and felt tears murmuring my eyes. I HAVE LOST HER AND NOW I WILL NEVER FIND HER… MADDISON COME BACK TO ME!! Harry, Louis, Lindsay, and Charlie sat beside me and they all stayed silent. I heard the girls cry more with me; I shuffled my hands and covered my face with them as I cried deeper and deeper. “(He puts his arm on my back) Come on mate… We will keep looking for her tomorrow… We’ll try again, just relax please… Come with me…” Louis’s voice was devastated just like mine would sound if I spoke a word; but I didn’t. Harry and Louis picked me off to stand up, as they walked me back with the two girls to locate a taxi to go back home. I am lost between crying with Zayn, and being relieved that Maddison is safe with a very kind hearted woman. I just hope that Maddison recovers from the emotional wreck she is right now... It hurts seeing our wonderful main character like this don't you think my lovelies?
