I Wish

I was done performing my poetry for the people, I went to the washroom to freshen my face up. I felt someone creeping behind me, that person grabbed my shoulders and placed me in the wall by the look of the hands it was Harry.

Harry: “ Listen to me Aubrey!!, I am trying to explain to you what happened why don’t you ever listen to me??.”

This was a sight I was not used to seeing in Harry, he was acting all angry which was hot at the same time.

Harry : “ Listen alright, I was hurt when we broke up you have to understand I was lonely I needed someone to talk to. My friend was in town, I talked to her over dinner nothing else happened. It is your decision to believe my story or not, my feelings never changed about you Aubrey.”

Me: “ Lonely??, so if I am lonely would you mind me calling one of your mates to come and sit with me over dinner??. Harry listen alright, I love you still you are my first boy I have ever loved. We are still taking a break from relationship, when we find out our paths in life then we will give it another try.”

Harry : “ Aubrey listen to me, I am not a perfect boy I have many flaws in my life. Tell me how is perfect in this life?, I will give you my life if you tell me who is perfect, in this lifetime. “

At the back of my mind, I was saying that I already found someone perfect that person is you. Harry please change your old ways for me, stop drinking so much whenever you have a problem.

Harry left my sight, I was breathless it was like we didn’t leave this relationship in good terms. I wished that this relationship would be perfect just like in my dreams, but this is reality.

Simon came up to me, “Congratulations on your successful show listen people have been phoning me non stop for your tour. I want to get you on the road, let’s see our schedule good job again on the successful show kid.”
