Before I fall asleep every night I pray to God, to guide the one direction boys all the time especially when they travel for their concerts. Even though they don’t know me, they have helped me a lot through my life.

The following morning has begun, I didn’t want to get up every day I got up in the morning I would hear gun shots going off. I wasn’t living in a healthy neighbour hood, but this is the only thing my mom could afford. That is why I am working, and doing extra jobs in the side to help my mom move out of this neighbour hood.

Me: “ Good morning mom, I am off to work now do you want anything on my way back home?”.

Mom: “ I don’t anything right now, love have a safe trip to work I love you.”

Me: “ I love you too mom, please stay safe alright.”

As soon as I entered my work place, one direction “kiss you” was playing in the store. While I was moping the floor I was dancing my butt off, and singing along I didn’t notice a customer was behind me.

Me: “ I am sorry sir, I didn’t notice you were here how may I help you?”.

Customer: “ I am actually looking for your brother, Eric have you see him I am a cop your brother is under arrest. I saw him selling drugs to under aged children, he is under aged as well which makes it a crime.”

Me:” My brother officer under arrest?, he cannot be officer my brother is not the type to sell drugs.”

The officer showed me a picture of him, and I was in shock because that really was my brother. I started crying, my brother probably wanted to help mom and I out he thought this would help.

Me: “Officer I haven’t actually seen my brother since yesterday, I thought he would be sleeping over in a friend’s house or something.”

Officer: “ Alright, well if you know anything let me know I know it will be hard for you but you have to let us know asap have a good day.”

When the officer left I tried contacting my brother, numerous times I still couldn’t reach him. I was getting worried about him, I tried contacting his friends they said they don’t know where he is. Things were going through my head maybe he got shot, maybe he got kidnapped I couldn’t focus at work. I called my mom to tell her what happened, she got off her work and started searching for my brother.

I couldn’t leave work, Starla came in a little bit late today she saw me worried. “Aubrey what is wrong right now?, did something bad happen to you?.” I explained the entire story to her, she told me to go home right away. She will cover for me, I didn’t think twice really I phoned my mother to pick me up here. We both started searching for my brother, their was cops surrounding our house.

Officer: “ Are you Eric mother?.”

Mom: “Yes, officer what happened to my son?.”

Officer: “ Please let’s get inside your house first, and I will explain what happened to your son. Alright so as of 12 am yesterday your son has been shot, by some gang members.”

Mom: “ NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!, NOT MY SON GOD WHY DID YOU TAKE MY SON AWAY GOD WHY!!!!!!!!.”

Officer: “ Please mam, calm down we will investigate this situation please I need you to be strong. Things like this happen around this neighbour hood, so please stop crying we will take care of this problem. Again I am sorry for your families loss please stay safe, please try and stay out of selling drugs around here.”

This was the worst day of my entire life, I lost my best friend the one that really understands how much struggle I am going through in my life. I don’t know what am I going to do with my life, now that he is gone. I wished this day wouldn’t come, but it came and now my entire life is lost.
