Everything was going great until one night, I was supposed to meet Joseph for my abroad shows. He promised that we would meet, I called him and there was no answer. I wondered what was going on in my head, someone that worked with him called me back.

Me: “ Joseph buddy where are you now, we need to discuss my shows right now.”

Joseph: “Hey dear, this isn’t Joseph he actually passed away. I just wanted to let you know, that I think he was on his way back to work and someone shot him.”

My entire world fell apart, Joseph my manager and dad figure passed away???!!!. This can’t be happening, I was back to square one right now. I didn’t have enough money to pay rent, my shows that I was doing only gave me enough to put food on the table. He was the one helping me with the rent, he helped me with my life. He removed me from the streets, and introduced me to a better life.

I will have to go back to where I came from now, I was crying like a kid. I called Harry over to my apartment, I needed someone to talk to. He came over and I told him the story about what happened, he was just as devastated as I was.

Harry:” Aubrey I… I am sorry for your loss I truly am, I can talk to Simon to manage you don’t have to go back.”

Me: “I have to Harry, I can’t stay here my gigs are not going to help me live in this house. My life just took a huge toll in my now, I don’t know what to do with my life anymore. I had a great time knowing you and the lads, please tell them I am sorry but I have to go. You guys changed my life, and I guess this is my time to leave. I will never forget the romantic date you took me on, Harry you are such a sweet guy I am sure you will find another girl. Until then, stay in touch alright” I hugged him while tears were dripping down my face. I didn’t want to leave this place like this, my career was actually looking brighter for me. God has plans for everything, I guess he didn’t want this plan to happen for me.

Harry: “ I am sorry you have to leave like this, I really am I want you to stay with me I can take care of you. But if your decision is to leave, then I respect it just always remember” he looked into my eyes and lifted my chin up “I will be here for you always and I will always love you. You mean a lot to me, I don’t want to ever lose you alright. Please call me when you arrive back to your place, have a safe flight until then I love you.”

His words will be stuck forever in my heart, I believe that if you love someone no matter where they are it will always work out. I love him and he loves me, that’s all that matters. I have to go back to the bakery shop now, and make a living my heart is aching because I don’t get to do now what I love best.

Joseph was such a father figure to me, he made sure I was okay he would bring me food at night. He will always remain in my heart and mind, I just hope I will make him proud just like I am making my brother proud.
