A Beautiful Affair

Chapter 7

Chapter 7:
Juliet’s POV
I was completely lost for words. My brain was flooded with questions and thoughts that I couldn’t put into sentences to say. But I could get one thing out, “Are you going through with it… the wedding?”
She ran her fingers hastily through her hair as she sighed. She looked defeated and worn out. Now that I took a good look, she’s got black bags below her eyes and stress lines creasing her forehead.
“You know,” I said. “My mum used to say ‘when you’re feeling defeated and low, all you need is a hug.” I stretched my arms out.
“Bring it in,” she laughed and enclosed me in a bear hug. A sigh escaped her lips, but she didn’t let go. “I just, I want to be happy… I just,” she pulled away and looked down and then met my eyes once more, her blue ones looks broken and hurt, “I’m going to go through with it.”
Paris’ POV
“I just, I don’t know what to do!” I watched as he ran his fingers hastily through his curls and bit at his lip.
“Do you what your heart tells you to do.” He looked at me with frowned eyebrows. “You will never be happy if you don’t listen to your heart. Your head, it usually tells you the ‘right’ thing to do… is your head telling you to go through with it?”
He nodded and sighed.
“And your heart… what’s it telling you to do?”
He shook his head and looked down, “to just be happy…”
“Are you happy Harry? With this false love?”
He laughed with no humor in his tone. “No.”
I waited a few seconds and then started talking in a low whisper, “So are you going to listen to your heart or your hear Harry?”
I watched as he put his elbows on his knees and laid his head in his hands, “Paris…I just, I don’t… I want…” before he could finish, Juliet and Karen walked into the living room.
They went to sit down as I leaned over and whispered lowly in his ear, “Always go with your heart.”
Juliet’s POV
I lay with the white fluffy comforter pulled up to my chin and snoring Paris next to me. Ugh! My mind is so clouded with thoughts and questions.
When Karen and I went downstairs to the living room earlier, I had convinced her to go with her heart, and not to go through with it. But as soon as we sat down, it’s like out conversation disintegrated, she was on with the wedding again. Harry looked uncomfortable; you could tell there was some tension between Karen and him.
I felt movement beside me, and a small yawn escape Paris’ lips. She rolled over and poked my cheek with her finger; I moved my head from its position of looking at the ceiling to look at Paris’ face.
“Yes…” She only chuckled and sat up. “Whatcha doing up?” I questioned while sitting up myself.
“The real question is why are you still up?” her raspy voice rang through my ears. She didn’t let me reply because she started speaking again. “Listen Jules, Harry or Mt. Styles or whatever, was talking to me when you and Karen were upstairs and she same some stuff… involving the wedding…”
My head shot towards her sleepy face, “What?”
She shifted in her spot, “Harry err…said that…well…”
“Spit it out!”
“He said he didn’t want to get married to Karen!” She covered her face with her hands.
They… but Karen… she thought he… “Wait Paris what if I told you Karen doesn’t either?”
She pealed her hands from her face and looked up at me questionably. “Doesn’t what?”
I rolled my eyes, “Karen doesn’t want to get married either Paris…”
************************************
I know this chapter is extremely short, if i get 3 votes, The next chapter will be longer.
What do you think Paris and Juleit will do about the marraige? Tell Harry and Juliet both that theya ctually feel the same way?

@Sunshine26078

I was thinking of doing a sequel with the letters Juliet wrote, but I don't think I will. i wanted more of a tragic story. Sorry that you didn't want her to die
