A Beautiful Affair

Chapter 17

Chapter 17:
Juliet’s POV
There was a pressure on my lips once again and I turned to face Harry who was starring directly at me with a wide grin on his face.
“What’s up with all the kisses?” I giggled, poking his side.
Once our agreement back at the hotel about our secret ‘affair’ we went out for a walk and were currently walking down the streets of Paris.
“What I can’t kiss you?” he pouted his lips.
“Of course you can,” I giggled, “but you’ve been kissing me every two seconds.”
He stopped walking and stood directly I front of me. He grabbed my wrists and put them on the side of me. “I like kissing you,” he whispered against my cheek. “It makes me get this funny feelings inside,” he pecked my lip in-between each word and smiled.
“A good funny feeling?” I questioned.
“A good funny feeling,” he confirmed.
His lips pressed against my cheek, then moved down towards my jaw. He brushed a kiss to the corner of my mouth, then continued upwards pressing one to my nose then eyelids. He kissed my forehead then brought his head back down to my eye level and made his lips aline with mine. He pecked my lips once more, then again and again.
“Stop,” I giggled, trying to push him away.
“Your” kiss “lips” kiss “are” kiss “my” kiss “drug” kiss.
“Then don’t overdose,” I teased, finally pulling away.
**
“Sneaking around is hard,” Harry whined into my ear while is sat at the kitchen counter eating cereal.
I shot him a warning glare as Karen and Paris walked into the kitchen. Yesterday we traveled back to Cheshire, no matter how much Harold begged I had school today and he has work. When we got back and picked Paris up, we came back to his house.
Karen was sat on the couch smiling at her phone… she didn’t even care where we were. Harry was slightly hurt, but shrugged it off.
“Morning,” Karen said cheerfully grabbing a cup and pouring coffee.
“Morning,” I replied with a mouth full of cereal so it basically sounded like “mowything.”
Karen chuckled and turned her back towards me, I felt warm breath tickle my ear and Harry’s deep voice whisper, “you’re too cute.” He pressed a kiss to my ear and then to my cheek while grinning cheekily.
I held in a giggle and blushed. He pulled away and winked while walking out of the kitchen doors. My eyes landed on Paris to find her mouth slightly ajar and her eyes flushed and I shook my head in her direction.
“But…” she started, then immediately closed her mouth.
“But what?” Karen asked confused, towards Paris.
“Nothing… just uhm… forgot about my book bag upstairs.” She shuffled quickly out of the kitchen and Karen shrugged.
A wash of relief flooded over me and I sighed then continued eating my cereal. All of a sudden Karen was in front of me with her elbows on the counter grinning like a Cheshire cat.
“Uhm…” I said tilting my head to the side a bit.
“Oh my gosh…” she started. “You wouldn’t believe where Louis took me while you were gone.” Oh her lover. I raised an eyebrow and waited on her to continue. “We went to the zoo with his mates.”
Alright… I slowly got up and made my way to the sink, placing my empty bowl in it. What’s so exciting about the zoo?
“I think its love,” she sighed dreamily.
I nearly choked on my spit. “You think—” I was cut off by Paris emerging in the kitchen, telling me it was time to go.
I bid my goodbye to Karen and walked with Harry and Paris to the car. Well there’s two affairs going on in this house.
**
“Paris!” I groaned frustratedly throwing my hands in the air, trying to put emphasis on my point better. “I swear nothing is going on between me and Harry, I promise.” I held my pinky out to her and she hesitated before taking it and shaking.
“Alright,” she sighed, turning back to her homework and I turned back to the TV where this show Awkward was airing.
After school I walked here because Harry had a meeting to go to, he offered to take me home, but after my pleading he finally let me walk. Karen was at work or… well I don’t really know where she is, she could be with her lover for all I know.
I sighed lying my head back, a smile spread across my face thinking back on today in math and how flirty Harry was towards me. He would drop papers by my desk and while he was picking them up he would whisper cheeky things in my ear.
Even when he sent a wink my way, I would blush like mad. Jesus, the things he does to me. I feel kind of bad doing this behind everyone’s backs and lying, but I can’t help the feeling I get when I’m with him. People always tell me to be happy and well, I’m happy when I’m with Harry.
I was drawn out of my thoughts by hearing the front door slam and bicker coming from the hallway to the right of me. I heard a clicking of heels and a couple set of sneakers coming through the hall and I raised an eyebrow.
Paris looked towards me and I shrugged. Finally Karen appeared looking at Paris, then moving her gaze towards me, a devilish smile spread across her face and before I could say anything to her, four bodies appeared by her.
The four boys stood quite awkwardly behind Karen while she starred at me like I was the world’s hardest math problem. She looks me up and down from my position on the couch and bit her lip, scrunching her eyebrows together. She turned her head back to the four boys and back to me smirking.
My head was titled like a lost puppy and I’m pretty sure Paris was too, “Perfect.” Karen said while walking over to the couch and plopping next to me like she hadn’t starred at me like a piece of cake.
“Oh right,” Karen pointed her finger towards me. “This is Liam,” she pointed to the one with the buzz cut, “and Zayn,” she moved her finger towards the one with the quiff, “Niall,” she turned her gaze to the blonde one, “and Louis,” a grin plastered on her face and my eyes went wide and I nearly choked on my spit.
“I know this is probably weird or well… I don’t know…but uhm…” Karen looked away from me for a second and I probably had the most confused look on my face. Why… why is Louis here? I truly though ‘affairs’ were supposed to be secret! “They look like teens don’t they Paris?” Karen asked Paris and she shrugged nodding and mumbling a yes.
“Well, their going to be pretending to be your friends Jules,” I gasped and opened my mouth to say something. Wait…this…Jesus I’m so confused. “When Harry comes home from work, we’re just going to tell him these guys are a couple of your friends from school, there also staying here for a few days.” Karen explained slowly to me like i was some idiot.
“But… I…why,” I sighed, leaning back and rubbing my temples.
“Their flat flooded and they had nowhere else to go,” Karen smiled and a frown etched my face.
Harry knows Louis’ name. He’s going to know there not in my grade, he's our freaking math teacher! I face palmed and was about to tell Karen how her plan was probably going to foil and burn, but I was interrupted by a sudden sound wave of confidence coming from the boys.
“Well! We better get to know you better Jules,” they plopped everywhere in the living room and I turned to Karen about to protest and just tell her it wasn’t going to work, but the look on her face made me retreat. She looked guilty, but helpless and pleading at the same time, I sighed and turned to the four strangers in from of me. “What do you want to know?”
**
“And finally this is Louis,” I finished off my introduction of my “friend” to Harry and watched as when I said the name Louis, his jaw slightly tensed, but was soon relaxed when I stole a glace at me and I smiled mouthing ‘go along with it.’
He nodded shyly and took Louis’ hand in his. “Nice to meet you Louis,” he let go of his hand and took a look around him. “So why haven’t I seen you guys in math class if you’re in Jules’ grade? I haven’t seen you in Mrs. Barkers either.”
Each of the boys shared a worried look and I chuckled to myself, if only they knew Harry already knew they weren’t in my grade. Finally Liam spoke up and said, “We’re in advanced math.”
Harry chuckled and I laughed loudly, each of the boys looked at us and I shook my head. “Let’s go to the kitchen shall we? Karen and Paris must be making something good.” All the boys obediently fled to the kitchen leaving me and Harry alone in the hall.
“If only they knew there was not advanced math class,” Harry sighed, wrapping his arms around my waist and laying his head in the crook of my neck. “Why did she invite them? I mean, even Louis?” Harry’s warm breath whispered into my ear. I stroke his hair and laid my head in the back of his neck.
“I don’t know.” We stayed in that position for a little while not saying anything, just enjoying one another’s presence.
“Harry! Juliet! Dinner!” Karen’s voice rang through the hallway and both Harry and I separated.
He placed a kiss on my lips and I smiled, his forehead rested against mine and his warm breath tickled my face when he said, “Leggo.” We both laughed at his now new catch phrase ‘leggo.’
We made our way to the kitchen and say by Louis and Karen and I sat next to Niall and Paris. “Dig in,” Karen stated, grabbing a chicken wing.
