Merry Christmas
Niall's POV
"JINGLE BELL JINGLE BELL JINGLE BELL ROCK!"
I wake suddenly to the sound of Juniper singing Jingle Bell Rock at six in the morning, dancing around in her red striped pajama pants and a red loose t-shirt, barefoot, messy hair, and the biggest grin on her face. She's smiling like the Queen herself came and gave her a hug. Or like someone just gave her free food for life.
She's so happy.
"Jingle Bells chime in Jingle Bell time. Dancing and prancing in the Jingle Bell square, in the frosty aaaiiirrr," Junie choruses out loudly, as her gorgeous voice fills the room and my heart, opening her arms and singing to the sky.
"What a bright time, it's the right time to rock the night away," I join in, standing up from the bed and making my way over to her. She turns and smiles when I start to sing.
"Jingle Bell time is a swell time," We continue together, "To go riding in a one horse sleigh."
Junie bursts into laughter and I smile. I wrap her in a hug and sway back and forth as her arms wrap around me too.
"Merry Christmas, Rose," I say.
"Merry Christmas, Niall," She says back, kissing my neck.
I barely have enough time to lightly peck her lips before Louis comes in, carrying a sack of presents with a Santa hat on.
"Did I hear Christmas carols?" He smiles. Junie peals herself from me and runs over to Louis, jumping on him in a bearhug and knocking them to the floor.
"IT'S CHRIIISSTMAASSS!" She yells, getting off of Lou and running out the bedroom door. I can hear her start to sing "Holly Jolly Christmas" as she runs up and down the hallway, banging on people's doors. I help Louis up and we both laugh.
"She is something else," Lou says, picking up his sack and chuckling.
"Yeah," I say, smiling and blushing. "She really is."
Louis smirk at me and lightly slaps the side of my head.
"Let's go guys," El says, appearing in the doorway in her pajamas and her hair up in a messy bun. She looks less than happy to be awake at this ungodly hour.
"Juniper is already downstairs on the couch, giggling," Maiya says appearing next to Eleanor with a similar look.
"Alright let's go. Did anyone wake up the hibernating bears?" I ask, referring to Zayn and Perrie.
"I got 'em," Katie says, leaving Harry's side and opening Perrie and Zayn's door. "GET UP YOU LAZY ASSES! IT'S JUNIE'S FAVORITE DAY AND YOU WILL GET UP AND HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT!" She yells turning their light on and pulling their covers off of them. They're both in their Christmas pjs.
"Okay, Jesus," Perrie mumble, rolling over onto her back and stretching. "I'll get Zayn up and we'll meet you downstairs in five."
We all nod and head down to the common room, where Junie does in fact sit, giggling and jumping up and down in her seat.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!" She yells and throws little candy canes at us, making us laugh.
"Merry Christmas, sweatheart," El says, kissing Juniper's cheek and sitting down on her right. I take the seat on Junie's left and wrap my arm around her shoulders.
Zayn and Perrie make their way into the common room to join us, plopping down in the loveseat together.
"Okay, this year we just agreed to give gifts to our significant others, correct?" Maiya clarifies and we all nod. "Good okay, well then, give away."
Junie turns to me and smiles, holding out a medium sized box with the letter 'N' written on it in cursive. "I got this for you because it represents some things from our childhood together. A few memories I hope you remember, because I think about how lucky I am for them to have happened to me almost every day."
I smile and open the box. My jaw drops. Inside is a chain bracelet with a little star charm linked in it along with a bike charm and a heart charm.
"Is this for the day we met?" I ask, pointing to the bike charm. She nods. "When I taught you how to ride your bike?" She nods again and smiles.
"And this one," She says, pointing to the star, "Is for the nights we laid out on your roof under the stars. I loved those nights because I always felt like we were one. They always reassured me of the strength of our love. And this one," She says, now pointing to the heart, "Is for our promise. A perfect and hopeful promise, full of faith and love. A promise I pray everyday that we keep."
I smile at her and pull her into a tight hug. Then I hold her face in my hands and kiss her firmly. I pull back and say, "Thank you, Rose. I absolutely love it. Mind helping me put it on?" I ask, stretching my wrist out to her. She nods and links the bracelet around my wrist. I smile. A perfect fit.
"Okay, my turn," I say, grinning from ear to ear. I pull out a small box and hand it to her. "I know we're both real saps when it comes to each other, so I bought this for you, knowing that you love music and you love me," I pause, blushing. "It represents that even though sometimes our love can't flow through words, it can flow through song."
She opens the box and her jaw drops as tears form in her beautiful eyes.
"Oh my god, Charming, it's beautiful!" She says.
