Chapter 31
Lucy’s P.O.V
I woke up with a big migraine. What happened?.
I looked around and noticed I was in someone’s arms. I turned to see Harry asleep as well. We were lying on the couch; on the floor were Louis, Liam, Amy and Ed.
I tried to stand up but Harry pulled me back.
“LUCY! YOU’RE AWAKE! OH THANK GOD!” He hugged me tight. Harry’s voice must have awoken the rest of them cause they started screaming too.
“Lucy!” “OMG, I if you hadn’t wake up today I would have taken you to the hospital!” “Sis, Thank God you’re okay” Everyone started shouting.
“I’m okay, I’m okay” I clamed them down. “Wait, where’s Niall?” I asked, noticing his absence.
Silence.
“Where is Niall?” I repeated. Everyone started glancing at each other, avoiding me.
“I think I should tell her.” Harry said. “Can you give us a minute?”
They all nodded and walked out of the living room.
“Umm…You see, Yesterday when we were at Mark’s, Niall offered to stay if Mark let us go.. so…” He explained.
“Tell me you didn’t let him” I said angrily.
He didn’t respond, he just looked at the ground.
“Tell me Harry.” I said. A single tear escaped the corner of my eye.
He quickly embraced me into a hug.
“Lucy, you need to understand Niall wanted to do this.”
“YOU LET HIM?!?!” I yelled, freaking out.
“Lucy, you need to understand.”
As much as I wanted to keep yelling, I couldn’t. I collapsed on the floor and started to cry.
Harry kneeled slowly next to me, as he started to rubbing my back.
“He will be alright Lucy.”
“No he won’t, and you know that.”
He remained silent.
“I made a promise, Lucy.” He suddenly said. “I promised Niall I wouldn’t let you out of my sight and that’s what I’m going to do. From now on, I will protect you.”
“Why can’t we just call to the police?” I asked.
“You don’t know how dangerous Mark is, Lucy. He has contacts, if we call the police he or his gang will get us anyway.”
There was a knock on the door. Louis appeared on the doorway with a phone in his hand.
“It’s your aunt.” He said hanging me the phone. I took it, but when I was about to speak He said in a low voice “I don’t think your aunt needs to know all of this ‘kidnap’ stuff.”
I just nodded.
“Hello?”
“Hello Darling, how are you?” Aunt Sophie asked through the phone.
“I’m fine…” I sighed.
“Well, I just wanted to tell you that I won’t be home anytime soon because my friend got sick and I promised I would look after her.” She explained.
“Umm..okay.”
“Well, I need to go now. Love you.”
“Love you too.”
I hung up and gave the phone to Louis.
Awkward Silence.
“So… let’s go eat something!” Harry shouted.
I didn’t say anything, I don’t want to talk to them.
“I’ll took that as a yes.” He said.
He quickly told the others where were we going, apparently MacDonald’s.
The drive there was quite, everyone was glancing at me and then to the window.
Harry had his hand placed firmly on my shoulder, like if I was going to jump out of the window in every moment.
When we arrived, I didn’t make a sound.
Harry and Louis were constantly making jokes to make me laugh or something, but I denied.
We were all sitting on Harry’s living room, not making a noise.
“Well, I better be going.” Amy said, standing up.
“I’ll go with you.” Louis followed her.
I walked over to them as well.
“Whoa whoa, nope. You’re staying here.” Harry pulled me back.
“What? No! I want to go home.”
“Sorry Lu, I think Harry’s right.” Ed agreed.
“WHAT?! YOU TOO?!” I yelled to him.
“If it’s for your safety…” He started.
“MY SAFETY?! IT’S NIALL WHO IS OUT THERE PROBABLY BEING TORTURED!” I yelled, freaking out.
“Let me talk to her.” Ed said, taking my arm and guiding me to the nearest room.
“I’ll go with you.” I heard Louis said.
As soon as we arrived to the room Ed started talking.
“Look Lucy, you need to understand this. It really hurts me to see you like this, but it’s the only way.”
“Yes Lucy, you need to understand.” Louis agreed.
“Look Lucy, I really care about you. You don’t know how much, please cooperate.” Ed said.
I stood there, emotionless.
“For me?”
I nodded slowly, not really knowing what I was doing.
“Good, thank you.” Ed said hugging me. “Better be going, love ya!” he said kissing my forehead.
As soon as he left, I turned to Louis.
“You’re going to help me, right?”
“Help you with what?” He asked confused.
“Bringing back Niall.” I said.
“Lucy, Please don’t make this..” He started.
“HE’S YOU’RE FREAKING FRIEND!” I shouted. “HE’S YOUR BEST FRIEND!!”
“And that’s why I’m doing this Lucy, because he’s my best friend.” He sighed. “I made a promise.”
Everyone left faster than I thought. It was just me and Harry now…
I don’t care, I will go to rescue Niall… Well I’ll try… And I don’t care if I have to escape…
