Secrets Hide Behind Glasses
Chapter 2
Alice's P.O.V
"Alice?!" A voice asked. I turned to see Polly jumping.
"POLLY!!!" I yelled and ran to her.
"OMG!!! yay!!" She squealed.
"Wait... Where's Olivia?" I asked as I noticed her absence.
"She had to go to Scottland for a few weeks or maybe months."
"Why didn't she tell me?" I asked hurt.
"She told your mum"
"Oh then she forgot to tell me!" I said. "Well, I have the most caring mum in the world, don't I?" I said sarcastically.
Polly laughed but then her smile turned to frown.
"Who's that guy?" She asked confused.
I turned to see the boy from earlier, Marcel. He was trying to get back his book from Fred's hands.
Fred is the mayor bully, asshole in the world. He's older than us though, so we don't have many problems with him.
"Poor boy" Polly whispered.
I looked over to Marcel, he had quite strong arms. Why didn't he use them?
"Okay, that's it!" I said.
"Wait, Where are you going?" Polly asked terrified.
"I can't let them do that!" I said frustrated.
"They're taller, older and stronger than you Alice." She said.
I let out a groan of frustation and disgust, but she was right. I can't just go and tell them to go away with my height.
I threw a sympathy smile to Marcel before walking away.
Marcel's P.O.V
"Give that back, please" I said politely.
"Oh no, if you want it. You will have to come for it." The big guy said before running away along with his friends. I just decided to drop it.
Well it wasn't that bad.
I must admit I thought this year was going to be different. In the bus I met this nice girl, she was younger though. But she was kind and nice to me. I thought maybe I could start all over again.
But as soon as the boys and girls from my grade saw me, they started teasing me, calling me "geek" and "nerd".
I just hope I can make at leat a friend before the day ends.
