(Kaniesha's pov)

When we were walking down the hall. Zayn asked me if he could ask me something.

"Sure what do you want to ask me?" I asked, in a weird voice.

"Do you like anyone in this school?" He asked, hope filling his eyes.

"Yeah I like this one guy, he's hot and cool." I said smiling at him.

" Okay." He said, shrugging.

(At the principal's office.)

(Kaniesha's pov)

When we got to the office the police were there and so was my brother.

"What happened?" I asked, confused

My brother was crying, I never seen him cry. The police officer told Zayn to go out in the waiting room.

" Have a seat." The police officer told me

" Okay." I said, very cautiously and confused.

" Look I'm just going to tell you your mom and dad are dead." the cop said

My life stopped this can't be happening. I ran out and Zayn stopped me in my tracks. I started to cry in his arms.

"What happened?" He asked, concerned

" Their dead." I said, sobbing on his shoulder.

"Who's dead?" He asked, confused.

"My parents are." I said.

" Do you want to go home early?" Zayn asked, showing sympathy.

" Yeah would you be able to drive me and my bro home?" I asked.

" Yeah sure." He replied.

"Oh yeah Zayn your the guy I like." I said, in a sweet and sad voice.

He just smiled and we went home.
