When You Let Your Heart Win
For the past 43 days, I've been the happiest I've ever been. 43 days of being a Tomlinson has actually been great. Even though it's a big secret, it's nice to have something between just me and Louis.
Over the last month, there's been zero fights. Between me and Louis or between me and Eleanor. Strange, but relieving. Also in the past month, El hit her seventh month of being pregnant with baby Shayla, and Shay is certainly growing well enough, because it looks like El's ready to pop at any giving second, which I'm told is good. And last but not least, in the past month, Eleanor moved out!
Yes, El and I have been getting along, but it's nice to get everything back to normal in our household, let alone let Louis and I be the newlyweds we should be. It's relieving to be able to walk around in just a tank and my knickers and not get scolded because someone else in the house isn't as fit as she used to be anymore. It's also nice to be able to have my husband at any given time, anywhere in the house I want him. It's just nice.
As of now, we're in Doncaster because Miss Jay and Mr. Dan are excepting their babies. Even though it's slightly early, according to her doctor, those babies were getting too big, so they admitted Jay and scheduled her C-section. As of now, we're waiting in Jay's actual room. We were told the babies are here, a boy and a girl, and they're just sewing Jay back together, then we get to see them all.
I'm quite excited actually. Louis finally has a brother, like he always wanted. I have two babies to gush and spoil over whenever I'm around to see them, which I'm hoping will be a lot, because Jay will certainly need the help with having to take care of six children now. Even though she has Dan and Lottie and Fizzy are capable of taking care and watching out for themselves, I just want to help. Hell, the way me and Louis have been lately, I gotta get some practice with baby babies.
Trying to get pregnant, it’s actually hard. We’ve been trying at least once a day/night and so far nothing. My period has come and gone both months and it’s aggravating me.
“Where are they?” I looked up and watched Fizz from across the room, her legs jumping as she sat down, she keeps fidgeting as well, saying she’s excited to see her new brother and sister is an understatement. I’m sure they all are. I wish I knew what it feels like to have a brother or sister. An actual brother or sister. Perrie and the boys are enough, just not blood. Damn you, mum and dad for not having another kid.
“It shouldn’t take much longer.” Lottie chuckled and went back to her conversation with Martin.
“What are you thinking?” Lou asked pulling me back against his chest as we sat in a chair in the corner.
“How crazy it is you now have five sisters and a brother.” I snorted. “We’re going to be so poor.”
“No we won’t.”
“Babe, you spoil your family with Christmas and birthday gifts.” I laughed turning my body some and looked at him. “Don’t fight with me.”
“I’m not fighting.” He smiled. “I’m just saying, we won’t go poor because I’m lousy at checking the price tags.”
“Yeah, because you’re in the worlds biggest boyband. I got lots and lots of money.” I imitated his voice the best I could.
“I don’t sound like that.”
“Yes you do.” Lottie spoke up.
“You don’t count.” He pointed at her. “You always take her side.”
“Because 99.9% of the time she’s right.”
“Air high five, babe.” I smiled as we lifted our hands and air high fived.
“You’re turning my sister into a dork.”
“She’s always been a dork.” Martin laughed, and earned quite a good smack from Lottie.
“Yeah, Lottie, don’t fight with him over that.” Lou laughed.
“Hey, do you lot want to meet the newest members of your family or not?” Dan’s voice was heard coming from my left and everyone automatically shut up and snapped their glances at him. He had one baby in his hands as a nurse had another, and Dan’s face read pure happiness. His face was slightly blotchy, singling he cried and it made me start to tear up. “Who wants to meet Doris first?” He asked looking around the room and landed on me as the nurse handed the baby boy to Martin and Lottie. “Teddy?”
“No.” I shook my head. “Let someone else go first. Someone who’s actually family.”
“You are family.” He smiled bending down slightly, making me sit up straight quick as he laid her in my arms.
The second I got comfortable and got her situated perfectly, I fell in love. She’s honestly the most gorgeous little baby girl in this world. Jay was blessed with good looks and choosing good looking bloke to father her children. I think I scored a hottie too, but who knows when we’ll have one with how the past month and a half has gone.
“What’s his name?” Martin asked softly.
“Ernest. Erine for short.” Dan replied.
“Don’t cry on her.” Lou whispered in my ear, making me jump slightly since I didn’t notice him sitting up to look over my shoulder.
“She’s precious.” I smiled and turned my head into my shoulder so I could wipe away the tears that had fallen. “Thank God she doesn’t look like you.”
“What?” He squeaked. “I was adorable. Shit, I am adorable.”
“Language.” I elbowed him.
“She’s not even five minutes old.” He rolled his eyes.
“So?” I looked at him with raised eyebrows. “Curse words not permitted around babies.”
“Sorry, mum.” He smirked as he got a scoff and an eye roll from me.
“When are you two going to have a baby?” Daisy came up beside us and looked at us.
“Whenever we want to.” Lou answered before I could answer her.
“Do you know how adorable their kids would be?” Lottie looked up from Erine as he laid in Martin’s arms.
“If they look like me, they’ll be adorable.” I smiled. “If they look like him, eesh.”
“Shh!” Practically the entire room yelled at him.
“Sorry.” He sighed, then poked my side. “I’m adorable. We’re going to have adorable babies and everyone is going to be jealous because we got adorable babies.”
“Mhmm.” I hummed and looked back at Doris.
“Isn’t that a sight?” Jay whispered as nurses rolled her in, making us look over at her.
“What are you talking about, woman?” Lou asked.
“You two with a baby and unable to whip those smiles off your faces.” She smiled and adjusted her bed so she could sit up a little more.
“She’s gorgeous, so it’s hard not to smile.” I smiled looking back down at her. “Would you like to hold her, momma?”
“If you’re done, sure, if not, keep gushing over her.” She smiled and laid her head back.
“Teddy?” Daisy poked my thigh repeatedly.
“Can I hold her?” She asked looking between me and Doris.
“Go plop down on a couch or chair.” I smiled and watched her quickly run to a rocking chair and sit in it quickly.
“Someone’s excited to not be the youngest anymore.” I teased quietly and got up and walked over to her. “You know the rules right?”
“Huh?” She asked looking at me with a confused expression as I laid Doris in her arms slightly.
“You make her fuss, you stay in the hospital for the rest of your life.” I joked as Doris grunted.
“What?” She squeaked, clearly not understanding I’m joking.
“Yeah, love. Haven’t you heard?” Jay laughed as soft as she could.
“She’s fussing!” She sorta panicked.
“You two are rude.” Lottie shook her head with a smile. “Dais, they’re joking.”
“Whew.” She sighed in relief as I bent down to be level with them both.
“Sorry, babe. I had to mess with ya.” I smiled.
“It’s okay.” She smiled. “Am I doing this right?”
“Yes you are.” I smiled. “Just make sure your arm supports her neck.”
“Wouldn’t she be able to do it herself?”
“She’s new at this stuff. She has to learn.” I winked at her. “You should teach her as she gets older. You know, since you’re not the baby of the family anymore.”
“Teddy, can I please have my son?”
“Your son is right there.” I pointed over towards Louis as I continued to stare at Erine.
“Bear, we gotta go.” Louis laughed walking over to me. “Give Dan the baby so we can leave and get the girls something to eat and to bed.
“Bye. Have fun.” I looked up and smiled.
“Babe?” He looked at me with a ‘come on, get up, stop hogging the baby you’ll see all the time’ look.
“Alright.” I sighed and got to my feet. “Jay, keep this beautiful little boy safe and happy and cute.”
“I will try my best, poppet.” She nodded reaching out for Erine as I looked at him again.
“Don’t forget me, kid. I’ll haunt your dreams.” I smiled and kissed his head and handed him to Jay. “Now I’m bored.” I slouched as both babies were with their parents, either sleeping or eating.
“You’ll be back tomorrow.” Lou laughed wrapping an arm around my waist and jerked me slightly. “See you later, mum. Get some rest.”
“Night, love.” She looked up quickly and smiled. “Thank you for taking the girls home.”
“It’s not a problem.” He smiled back.
“Let’s go!” Fizz groaned.
“Right, see you later, Dan. Congratulations. Have fun with a screaming babies.” He joked.
“You’ll be in the same boat as me here soon, lad.” Dan reminded him, automatically ruining my mood. Super.
“If you two do not get a move on, I will drive us ourselves.” Lottie threatened.
“Alright, alright.” Lou huffed sliding his hand from my waist to grab my hand and started to move us towards the door.
“Good night. Love you all.” Jay called quietly.
“Night.” Lou called back and shut the door.
“About time.” Fizz complained.
“Teddy’s a baby hog.” He joked squeezing my hand, which I just looked at him and smiled faintly. “Lottie, go ahead and run to the car and start it?”
“What? Why?” She asked grabbing the keys from him then looked at me and frowned. “Okay. Come on, girls.” She grabbed Phoebe’s hand as Fizzy walked by Daisy and they headed for the lifts.
“He didn’t mean to upset you.” He whispered walking us slowly towards where the girls ran off to.
“I know.” I nodded.
“Then smile, babe.” He smiled lifting our hands and lifted them over my shoulder, so his arm was around my shoulders and my hand was across my chest. “You were smiling all day, don’t let that ruin it.”
“It’s hard to do, Louis.” I sighed then shook my head. “I’m sorry. It’s just not something to smile about. Let’s just forget about it and let’s go get the girls something to eat then let’s go to bed.”
“Do we get to eat?” He stopped and swung me back to him.
“Stop.” I laughed. “Louis, we’re in a hospital.”
“On the maternity ward.” He smiled. “I’m sure everyone understands.”
“That doesn’t make a difference.” I smiled leaning back whenever he went to kiss me.
“C’mon, don’t be rude.”
“Stoop.” I laughed.
“Okay.” He sighed and let go of me. “I got you to smile so that’s good enough for me.”
“Please name a time where you can’t get me to smile.”
“I didn’t make you smile this morning.” He whispered, grabbing my belt loops and pulled me into him.
“What was this morning?”
“You took a pregnancy test and it came out negative.” He explained and I frowned. “It’ll happen, Bear.”
“I know.” I nodded. “It’s just weird that it hasn’t yet.” I whispered.
“Then let’s get a move on, shove food in the girls’ faces, get them in bed then me and you can get into bed.” He propositioned.
“Why not?” He stepped back and looked at me fully.
“We’ve had sex in my mum’s house before, babe.” He laughed grabbing my hand and started to walk us towards the lifts again.
“It just feels weird.” I shrugged. “Those times, we weren’t trying.”
“Sex is the same whether we’re trying or not.” He snorted.
“I know.” I sighed and giving up.
“We haven’t tried today and I told you we’re trying everyday. I’m not missing my day.”
“Alright, Horny McHorny.” I shook my head.
“Please stop acting like you’re not excited to get home.” He laughed. “After seeing you with Erine and Doris, you’re just dying to have one.”
“I would like one, yes.” I nodded.
“Good thing trying is fun then, huh?”
