When You Let Your Heart Win

Chapter 22

"Bear, how much longer?"
"Two minutes." I answered as I dug through my suitcase.
"You said two minutes two minutes ago."
"Shut up." I huffed. "Ugh! Where is my freaking shirt?!"
"Maybe you should of unpacked when I told you to." Lou sang playfully as he spun around on the office chair.
"Shut up." I pouted dropping down onto the floor and started to throw every, single piece of clothing out of my suitcase.
"Like that'll help." He laughed. "Babe, just find a different outfit."
"I want to wear this skirt though!" I whined. "It's cute and I haven't worn it yet."
"It is nice." He sighed making me look up at him with my eyebrows raised. "What?"
"Don't try to kiss my arse." I laughed searching through my clothes again.
"You're not bent over so I can't at the moment."
"I'm going to ignore that." I snorted.
"Do what you please." He sang as he continued to spin around on that damn chair. Isn't he dizzy yet?
"Ah! Found it!" I screeched and yanked my shirt out of my suitcase and threw it on.
"Great. Let's go." Lou smiled helping me up.
"Let me check my makeup first."
"Noo!" He yelled grabbing my waist and pulled me against him.
"Louis, I don't want to go out and look like shit." I whined.
"You look fine." He laughed moving us towards the door.
"But nothing." He cut me off.
"Fine." I huffed. "If I get looked at..."
"It'll because you're beautiful and everyone is jealous of your beauty."
"Is this necessary?"
"Louis, I know we're at the beach." I giggled.
"Just... Louis, take your hands away!" I yelled elbowing him.
"I don't want you to see what I have planned." He's frowning. You can hear it in his voice.
"It's going to be a diner on the beach." I sighed stopping in my tracks. "It's either going to be a table by the water with candle light or it's going to be a blanket thrown out with a picnic basket with wine, which I won't be able to drink, and candles surrounding the blanket."
"You just ruined our night." He said as he slid his hands from my eyes and let me see again.
"Don't be like that." I frowned turning around and faced him. "It's going to be wonderful, babe, but you don't have to cover my eyes and add the suspense."
"I'm sorry." I pouted and hugged him.
"I can't surprise you."
"Of course you can." I smiled. "Just not with beach dates."
"Ha!" He laughed.
"A smile!" I giggled.
"It's hard not to smile around you." He smiled leaning down to kiss me.
"Enough of that." I pulled back. "Show me this date."
"Maybe I should just take you to a movie."
"Nope." I shook my head and turned around and pulled him as I started to walk towards the beach. "You're going to take me on this date you've set up."
"But you won't enjoy it."
"Yes I will." I huffed. "Just because I know what it is, doesn't mean I won't like or enjoy it."
"Okay, don't get mad at me." He laughed slightly and wrapped his arms around me from the side.
"I'm not." I smiled leaning into him. "Plus, if you did good on this and it's private, you may get lucky."
"Lucky as..."
"Sex on a beach."
"The drink?"
"Of course."
As we got to the date Louis set up, like I said it'd be a blanket on the sand with candle light, we held small talk and ate the small dinner Louis provided us with and once we were finished, I looked at the sunset over the ocean and I sorta toned him out. Florida is beautiful. Like yeah I've been here before, but I can never get over how beautiful it is. I should move to America someday.
"You always ignore me." He laughed grabbing my arm and pulled me into between his legs as we both faced the sunset.
"What are you thinking?" He whispered nuzzling into my hair.
"How beautiful it is here." I smiled. "We don't get views like this in England."
"Yeah, because we get better." He laughed.
"Whenever it doesn't rain, sure."
"You got a point there." He agreed.
"But like the ocean, we don't have that. At least not this pretty." I sighed.
"You want to move here, don't you?" He knows me too well.
"I have nothing back home, so why not?" I shrugged. "Travel the world."
"I'm back home."
"You're rarely ever home." I snorted.
"Bear?" He sighed.
"I'm not jabbing at you." I said sitting up and facing him. "It's just..."
"True." He cut me off. "What about school?"
"There's school's all over the world." I rolled my eyes. "Plus, I don't know what I want to do right now. I should just drop out and when I know what I want, go for it."
"What? Why not?" I scrunched my eyebrows together.
"You're not dropping out of University." He shook his head. "Get a degree in nothing if you don't figure it out in the next few years."
"I've been there for two years, Louis." I sighed. "If I don't come up with a major, they'll decided for me."
"More of a reason not to drop out." I'm starting to push his buttons. "You spent the past two years there and if you drop out, it would be all for nothing."
"Are you getting this heated about Uni because you didn't go?" I whispered tracing the outline of the blanket we were on.
"Yes and no." He replied making me look up. "Yes because I would of loved to go to Uni, but I went to The X Factor because you and Hannah pushed me to go. And no because one day you'll regret not finishing. So what if they choose a major for you, at least you would graduate."
"Are you trying to get rid of me so you can be on your fall lag of tour alone?" I teased getting to my knees and got in his face.
"Absolutely not." He snorted.
"You could be lying right now." I giggled.
"Get it through your head that you're the only one I want." He smiled.
"I'm glad you know I'm joking." I smiled getting to my feet.
"What are you doing?" He pouted.
"I'm going to go swimming." I smiled taking my tank top off and pushed my skirt down my legs. "Coming?"
"Why not?" I frowned.
"Because I'm sure the water is freezing right now." He laughed.
"Pussy." I huffed and walked towards the ocean.
"Bear, don't go out there."
"No!" I yelled and walked in. Yeah, it's a little cold.
"Teddy, get back here!"
"No!" I giggled.
"Don't make me come in there." He warned.
"I dare you too." I provoked him.
"If you move one more inch..." He trailed. He can't even threaten me. He's cute.
"Oops." I played as I took another step further into the ocean.
"Bear?" He whined.
"Boo?" I giggled.
"Please come back in and get dressed." He begged.
"Nobody's around, Louis." I bit back a smile. "Come here."
"No." He shook his head.
"Baaaaabe!" I whined.
"But I'm cold." I pouted.
"Then get out."
"Come get me then." I shrugged.
"You want me out, come get me." I sighed dunking under, just to get pulled back up quickly.
"You're cold, but you choose to go under?"
"It got you out here." I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck.
"You knew I'd come out and get you?" He nodded.
"Yep." I giggled jumping up and wrapped my legs around him, making him catch me. "But guess what?"
"What?" He smiled.
"But I know you love me and you don't want anything bad to happen to me." I smiled nudging his nose with mine.
"That's correct." He smiled turning us around and started to walk us out of the ocean.
"I could go for a sex on a beach right about now." I whispered.
"I'll buy you one."
"I didn't mean the drink." I giggled.
"But then that mea..."
"I mean the actual sex on a beach." I cut him off and moved my hands down to his pants.
"Nobody is around, Louis." I smiled.
"They can be hiding in the bushes."
"Babe, we're at the beach. There aren’t any bushes." I giggled and pushed his pants down his legs. "Don't pick your feet up or you'll lose your pants."
"Teddy, we can't do this." He breathed heavily.
"Why not?" I frowned.
"I don't want to take the chance of being seen." He replied. "I don't want my fans to send you hate even more or make things worst with your parents."
"Okay." I sighed.
"I'm sorry."
"You have a point, so no need to apologise." I smiled kissing his cheek quickly then unhooked my legs from around him and walked out of the ocean.
"Seriously!" He yelled.
"Yup." I giggled.
"Leaving me in here with my pants around my ankles." He whispered pressing his body up against mine from behind and whispered in my ear.
"Yup." I smiled.
"That wasn't nice, Bear." He growled playfully and picked me up as I squealed.
"Put me down, you meat head!"
"Oh my God, I'm freezing." I said as my teeth started to chatter as we walked into the hotel's lobby.
"Who's idea was it to go in the water again?" Lou asked wrapping an arm around me.
"Shut up." I sighed at the warmth ratting off his body. "Thanks for not going under."
"Next time we do a beach date, I'll bring towels." He laughed kissing my hair as we waited for a lift.
"Louis! Teddy!"
"What's up, Zayn?"
"Where have you two been?"
"The beach." Lou chuckled as I grabbed Zayn and pulled him near me. Body heat is a must at the moment.
"Did you throw her in the water for being bad?" He laughed.
"That was all her."
"I'm right here, numb nuts." I huffed.
"If you get sick, I'm going to laugh." Lou laughed walking us into the lift.
"I get sick, you get sick." I shrugged. "I'll laugh at you too."
"Enjoy being in quarantine then, mate." Zayn sighed like he was sad as I started to giggle.
"Quarantine means I get to sleep in, eat whatever I want and cuddle with a pretty girl." He shrugged wrapping an arm around me again. "Teddy, never again."
"I didn't think it'd be that cold." I whined. "It's July for crying out loud."
"You of all should know not to be surprised by the cold." Zayn laughed as we arrived to our floor. "If you're up for it later, I'm Skypeing Perrie later, come over at like 10."
"If she's conscious."
"Shut up." I huffed slapping his chest. "But you know since I'm cold, that bath is calling my name."
"Yeah, she won't be over tonight."
"Why not?"
"She'll fall asleep in that bath tub." Lou snorted.
"They're amazing, aren't they?" Zayn asked as Louis groaned.
"They are." I smiled. "I'll try to be over. If not, tell her I love her and I'll see her soon."
"Alright, see you later then." He waved and walked towards his room.
"You won't be over." Lou laughed as he unlocked our door and stepped aside for me to walk in.
"You never know." I shrugged. "I could surprise you all."
"You won't." He laughed closing and locking the door.
"Why do you have no faith in me?" I pouted.
"Because I'll wear you out." He smirked leading us into the bathroom.
"Is that so?" I smiled.
"I have to get you back for your little stunt earlier."
"The ocean stunt?" I bit back a smile.
"That exact one."

I'll literally always be here lol this is my number 1 favourite story!!! I even recommended it to many of my friends and a few of them don't even like 1D but they absolutely love the story :) And call me a very hopeful optimist but there is a big part of me that believes we will have either one more tour or another album in a few years' time. But until then, this story holds me together

Much Love ~Liz <3

I'm trying to. I promise. I just changed everything around and got a new and better PC, so I'm hoping. I'm still in love with this story and Louis (even if he's back with Eleanor). I've been rereading this lately and it's such a good story line and I want to finish it for people that are still around, but I feel like I lost a lot and with them not even being a band anymore, but I promise I'm trying. hopefully around next week I'll sit my ass down and get to work.
But thank you for still being here. you're the fricken best.
