When You Let Your Heart Win

Chapter 10

“Bear, we’re home, c’mon.” He laughed.
“Bear?” He groaned. I’m stubborn, you bastard. No!
“Louis, just carry the girl inside.” Jay laughed. I love that woman.
“Yeah, Louis, carry the girl inside.” I giggled raising my hands.
“The things I do for you.” He snorted picking me up.
“Take her upstairs and let her sleep until dinner.” Jay offered.
“Why weren’t you my mum?” I yawned as I cuddled into Louis some more.
“I’d go insane if you were my sister.” Lou snorted, making me slap him on the back of his head. “Ow!”
“That’s for being an arse.” I smiled laying back against his shoulder. “I’d be an awesome sister.”
“You’re a better best friend.” He commented as he walked us up the stairs.
That, I don’t know.” I giggled. “I’m a bitch.”
“You tell people how you feel; I don’t see what’s wrong with that.” He shrugged.
“A lot of people don’t like an outspoken girl.” I sighed as he laid me down on his bed and automatically turning onto my stomach and groaning. “Ahhh, this feels amazing.”
“You’re an idiot.” He laughed making me flip back onto my back. “Sleep, I’ll come get you before dinner.”
“Stay.” I frowned.
“Why?” He laughed.
“Because I like to cuddle, you prick.” I smiled pulling his arm.
“Fine.” He smiled walking over to close the door then crawled into bed with me.
“Thank you.” I smiled cuddling into him as his arm went around my waist.
After that, it was quiet. We just laid there. Yes I was tired, but listening to his breathing and playing with his fingers is better than sleeping. But with silence comes a lot of thinking and that’s exactly what I did.
“What are we going to do whenever we get back home?” I whispered.
“One, I’m breaking up with El.” He replied making me flinch.
“She’s going to know it’s because of me.” I frowned. “There’s so many pictures from…”
“She’ll get over it.” He shrugged.
“Does she mean nothing to you?” I asked looking up at him.
“You mean more.”
“You’re lying!”
“I am not!” I laughed. “Louis walked through the door and next thing I know, he’s snoring. On the floor.”
“Really, Teddy?” A blushing Louis groaned. “Why are you telling them this?”
“Because it’s funny!” I giggled.
“Tell us more!” Fizzy ordered.
We’re all sitting at the dinner table telling ridiculous stories, and mine just happens to be one where Louis came home from tour one day and he was so tired, he passed out the second he walked in the door. Everyone is loving it, but Louis of course. I promised I’d never tell anyone, but I had to tell his family. To me, family never counts whenever it comes to something that funny.
“If you say one more word about anything, I will make you regret it.” Lou threatened slapping a hand over my mouth.
“Ire wrill rick yrew.”
“What?” He laughed, then jerked his hand away. “Did you just lick me?”
“I told you I would.” I giggled.
“That’s disgusting.” He said while wiping his hand on his pants.
“If it was any other body part, you wouldn’t be disgusted, now would ya?” I whispered in his ear making him cough loudly and me smile proudly.
“You alright, love?” Jay asked looking at Louis.
“Yeah, ha, I’m fine.” He smiled clearing his throat then looked at me. “My water just didn’t go down right.”
“But you’re not drinking water…” Daisy said making me laugh, but caught it quickly and bit my lip.
“Fine, my spit didn’t go down right.” He rushed out.
“Anyways…” Jay trailed in a confused matter. “Dan, hun, how was your day?”
“You’re going to pay for that.” Lou whispered as he pulled my chair closer to his.
“And what are you going to do, macho man?” I giggled in a whisper.
“You’ll find out later.” He smiled.
“What are you two whispering about?” Lottie asked leaning over towards us.
“Nothing.” I smiled.
“About taking all of you to the cinema tonight.” Lou replied still looking me in the eye.
“Oh Mum can we?”
“Yeah, Mum pleaseee?”
“We’ve been good!”
“I don’t know.” She sighed. “You six out by yourselves…”
“That’s cue for ‘yes.’” Lottie smiled.
“That is not, young lady.” Jay smiled. “Yes it is. Don’t stay out too late, and listen to your brother and Teddy.”
“Yay! Thank you, Mum.” Phoebe gushed jumping out of her seat to hug her mother, the other three following in suit.
“Quick thinking, there Louis.” I smirked.
“It’s something to get out of the house.” He shrugged.
“Mhmm.” I shook my head and got up.
“Teddy Nichole, don’t you even dare touch that plate!”
“Damn it, I thought she wasn’t looking.” I groaned.
“She has eyes everywhere.” Dan laughed patting my shoulder. “Don’t worry about it, we’ve got it.”
“But you guys have the house to yourselves, don’t spend it with cleaning, let me do some.” I pouted.
“Teddy, just give up. They won’t budge.” Lou laughed steering me away from the table.
“Why do they never let me help? I know it’s nice and all, but they haven’t let me lift a finger since I’ve been here.” I said as I continued to pout.
“Because it’s my mum and Dan we’re talking about.” He laughed. “Now get your arse up stairs and fix yourself before we leave without you.”
“’Fix myself?’” I asked glaring at him. “What does that mean, Tommo?”
“You have bed hair.” He snickered.
“You’re an arse.” I huffed walking up the steps. “Don’t look up my skirt either, Tomlinson!”
“Just admiring the view.” He chuckled.
“What’s going on with you and my brother?”
“Ahhh!” I’m such a pussy. “Jesus, Lottie, you gave me a heart attack.”
“Sorry.” She giggled. “Do you love my brother?”
“Of course I do.” I laughed walking past her. “He’s my best…”
“I meant more than friends.” She cut me off.
“No.” I laughed turning to look at her. “Strictly friends.”
“I like El and all, but you suit him better.” She sighed turning towards her bedroom.
Does that mean she approves of us? Whatever ‘us’ is?
“The car is leaving in two minutes, whoever is not in it in two minutes is not going!” Louis yelled up the stairs.
“You’re an arse!” I yelled back before running into Lou’s bedroom to fix my hair. And the looks of it, my make-up as well. Bloody hell, I’ve looked like this the whole way through dinner? It looks like I just had sex. Hmmmm, that sneaky little bastard better not of tried… HA! Like Louis has the balls to cope a feel whenever I’m unconscious. Funny, funny Teddy.
“We’re leaving!”
“You’re an arse!” I yelled again as tightened my bun while jogging down the stairs. Oh how lovely would it be if I fell right now? I always think about that whenever I’m not paying 100% of my attention to the stairs while I’m going down them. Sigh, I may die on stairs one day.
“Oh how nice of you to join us.” Lou smirked as he opened the door for us.
“Bite me.” I glared walking past him.
“Don’t threaten me, I just might.” He whispered hotly in my ear and gave me goose bumps.
“Don’t do that.” I growled punching him.
“Don’t do what?” He laughed rubbing his arm where I punched him.
“You know exactly what!” I yelled/whispered as I looked to make sure nobody was listening.
“C’mon, Bear, just admit it, you’d love it if I bit you.” He smiled evilly as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and laughed, making his breath hit my neck and more goose bumps appear.
“Stop!” I wiggled against him. “Lottie already thinks something’s up.”
“No.” He smirked looking down.” Nothing is up right at them moment.”
“Louis!” I yelled. “Stop being a pervert!”
“Then stop blushing and get in the car.” He smiled poking my cheek while walking towards the car.
“What an arse.” I mumbled.
“It’s nice, I know.” He laughed loudly.
I’m going to be dead by the end of the night.
“Uh six tickets to Despicable Me 2, two adult, two teens and two children, please.” Lou smiled at the ticket person, as the girl blushed.
“You… You’re Louis Tomlinson.” She stuttered.
“Why yes, love, I am.” He smiled.
“Where’s Eleanor? Is she here? Oh my God, you two are perfect for each other.” She ranted as I frowned. She’s going to hate me when they break up.
“She’s sadly back home.” He smiled looking over at me and frowned when he saw I wasn’t happy. “How much will that be?”
“Oh right.” She smiled. “£38.30.”
As he paid, I took the girls over to the concession stand to pick out what they wanted to snack on during the movies.
“What do you all want?” I asked. “Make it expensive, it’s all on Louis.”
“I heard that, Bear.” He huffed throwing an arm around my shoulders. “Sorry.”
“About what?” I shrugged. “I have nothing to be mad about. I don’t have a right.”
“I want nachos!” Fizzy gleamed.
“Fizz, we just had dinner.” Lou laughed.
“So?” She jutted her hip out while crossing her arms and looked up at him.
“Oh God, there’s another sassy Tomlinson, everybody run.” I giggled poking him in the side.
“Fine, get what you want.” He laughed and grabbed my hands. “Stop poking me.”
“Why?” I smiled up at him. “Ticklish?”
“No, but I know you are, so knock it off.” He warned.
“Oh, I’m scared.” I giggled sarcastically.
“You better be.” He played. “What do you want?”
“Popcorn with lots of butter and sour patch kids.” I bounced happily.
“You’re such a kid.” He laughed kissing my temple. “Go grab napkins and straws.”
“When did you become the master?” I asked walking backwards.
“I’m the oldest.” He stuck his tongue out.
“Yeah, you sure don’t act like it.” I giggled.
“I’ll get you for that!” He yelled, making me laugh harder.
God this kid is a trip.
“Excuse me?”
“Yeah?” I asked grabbing napkins then looking over towards a teenager, probably 17.
“Uhm sorry if this is awkward, but are you and Louis a couple?” She asked all awkward-y.
“No.” I laughed. “He’s just my best friend.”
“So you’re Teddy?” She smiled.
“That’s me.” I smiled back.
“Oh my goodness, I didn’t recognize you! You’re so much prettier in person!” She gushed.
“Why thank you.” I giggled.
“Wow, now I feel stupid.” She blushed looking down. “It’s just you two look really comfortable together and more of a couple than what he and Eleanor do.”
“Ha, she needs her lime light, so she doesn’t want to be so close to Louis.” I snorted grabbing straws.
“I know right!” She laughed.
“Oh so you’re not an Eleanor worshipper?” I smiled.
“Oh my heavens no!”
“I like you, then.” I laughed.
“Bear, let’s go!” Lou yelled.
“Hold on.” I glared.
“He calls you Bear? Aw, like a teddy bear, that’s so cute!” Oh this girl is cute.
“Yeah, it’s his nick name for me. Has been ever since I met him.” I smiled.
“Well yeah, sorry, I’ll let you go and enjoy your movie.” She spoke fastly. “Sorry for disturbing you.”
“It’s not a problem.” I smiled.
“Is too much to ask for a hug?” She asked shyly.
“Of course not!” I smiled and opened my arms to hug her.
“Ah, you’re so sweet. Thank you.” She smiled.
“Thank you for being nice.” I smiled wider. “Enjoy the rest of your night.”
“You too.” She called as I walked away.
“What was that?” Lou asked wrapping an arm around my shoulders as we walked into the right theatre room.
“A really nice fan.” I smiled handing Lottie some napkins and four straws. “She said I’m prettier in person.”
“Because you are.” He smiled ushering me to go down the line of seats. The theatre was already dark and very few people were here since it’s a Sunday night, so we could spread out and not get noticed. Lou and I sat at third to last row in the middle while the girls sat in the actual middle of the theatre together.
“Why thank you.” I smiled grabbing the popcorn from him and popping some in my mouth.
“You’re welcome.” He laughed grabbing some popcorn for himself and sat back and waited.
“Just to let you know…” I trailed, taking my flip flops off and putting my feet up on the seat in front of me. “I’ve never saw the first Despicable Me, so ignore me whenever I go ‘what the fuck does that mean.’”
“Are you serious?” He asked looking at me.
“I am dead serious.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” He laughed. Head thrown back and all.
“I like the minions, I don’t remember hearing about them when the first one was out.” I shrugged grabbing more popcorn.
“You’re such an idiot.” He laughed picking up some popcorn as well, but throwing it in my face.
“You. Did. Not. Just do that.”
“What are you going to do about it?” He whispered close to my face.
Uh, throw some in your face too, dip shit.

I'll literally always be here lol this is my number 1 favourite story!!! I even recommended it to many of my friends and a few of them don't even like 1D but they absolutely love the story :) And call me a very hopeful optimist but there is a big part of me that believes we will have either one more tour or another album in a few years' time. But until then, this story holds me together

Much Love ~Liz <3

I'm trying to. I promise. I just changed everything around and got a new and better PC, so I'm hoping. I'm still in love with this story and Louis (even if he's back with Eleanor). I've been rereading this lately and it's such a good story line and I want to finish it for people that are still around, but I feel like I lost a lot and with them not even being a band anymore, but I promise I'm trying. hopefully around next week I'll sit my ass down and get to work.
But thank you for still being here. you're the fricken best.
