"So have you enjoyed your stay at Preston so far? I mean, I know school hasn't started yet, but in this first day have you?
Louis, was nothing like I imagined. He was really.. Spunky? I'm sure if that's the right word, but he was so nice and sassy at the same time, I don't see how you couldn't like him.
"Yeah, I mean the campus is beautiful, and everyone I've met for the most part has been really awesome."
"I hope we fall under that category of being really awesome."
Louis and Niall put their heads together and flashed me a cheeky smile. I'm guessing they're best friends, I hope they are. They sure act like it, and by that I mean sometimes they act gay to the point where it is questionable. I don't think they are, but I hope that they eventually become my good friends as well.
"Hahaha! Yes, you do. And so do Danielle and Liam." I couldn't keep a straight face while they were still doing that over-the-top smile at me.
"LIAM! I love that guy! Man, it has been ages since I have seen him!" Louis exclaimed.
"Yeah! And he is still with Danielle? Thank goodness, they are perfect for each other." Niall remarked.
"Danielle is actually my roommate, and I have only seen them together for 20 minutes tops and I an already tell."
"You are so lucky! Danielle is awesome, you'll love her. And Liam is one of our best mates. Have you met anyone else yet?" Niall asked.
"Well, I kind of ran into that Harry guy, which then followed by two blonde idiots. I think one was Kelsey? The other girl never talked so I didn't catch her name."
They both got really quiet. Did I say something wrong?
"Did I say something wrong?" Ooops, thoughts turned into words.
"No no, it's fine. We just don't really get along with Harry. And yep that sounds like Kelsey, and the other girls is Keely. Did she call Harry 'Pookie'?" Louis said.
"Yeah, I wanted to vomit, are they like a thing?"
"Well.." Louis started.
"No." Niall interrupted. "She just follows hima round and acts like they are. She really likes him, but Harry isn't as interested. He kind of just lets her follow him and not do much."
"Oh, well no matter who it is, that is kind of awful to do that to someone else's feelings.." I faded off. That had happened to me once with a guy back at home. He let me like him and wouldn't do much. I thought he liked me too, until one ay he started dating another girl. It hurts. And I wasn't going to let that happen to me again.
"Yeah.." Louis and Niall said in unison.
"Soo, did something happen between you guys and Harry?"
"It happened our first year here at Preston." Louis started.
"We weren't best friends with Harry, but we were friends at least. When we started school Harry started doing a lot more sports, and Louis and I got more into the arts department. We really enjoyed ourselves, and Harry made his own friends which was fine with us. To be honest, Liam is the one who held us altogether. One day though I fell in the cafeteria, just tripped. The whole football team started kicking me and calling me a fag and stuff like that. I really didn't care, sticks and stones right? Anyways, all I really wanted was to get up and get more food. So I asked Harry to help me up. The other football players started to make fun of him , sayin stuff like 'You're friends with him?!' or 'You know him?!' and Harry fell under the pressure and said he didn't know this 'fag' and that he didn't care about music or arts and anyone involved with it." Niall said with a straight face.
I just sat there in shock. How could a person not like music? Music is such an influence, and one of the few things a lot of people can connect to.
It was really awful what Harry did, I mean I understand both sides, but it obviously made a huge impact to become such a rivalry between them.
"That, is so terrible. I mean I understand in a way, but still. What about Liam? What did he do?" I said almost frantically.
"Liam was just caught in the middle. He hung out with us, and he hung out with Harry. But never all of us together. He tried to amend us at first hardcore, but we were all still angry and didn't cooperate well. So he's been subtly trying to reconnect us ever since, but so far nothing." Louis said.
"Plus, Harry has grown really close to that Zayn guy. Zayn moved here our sophomore year and really doesn't care about music at all. So they just kinda stuck like glue."
"And Zach just kind of came about because Harry and Zayn were the only ones that could deal with his stupidity." Louis added, starting to laugh.
"Well have you tried talking to Harry?"
"We did once or twice, only to talk about it. But I don't think he wanted to be seen with either of us, so we just let it go. We went ourseperate ways. And I think that we are happier this way." Niall chimed in.
"I don't know, Harry never looks that happy to me. I know it has only been a day, but from what I've seen, he's always so dark and gloomy. Like when the moon is only a sliver. You can tell that he is sort of happy, but the majority of it is just dark and not visible. Maybe he is hurting but hasn't had the guts."
"Oh, Harry has guts. He just wants to keep them inside his body. He wouldn't want the football team to anialate him for befriending us again." Louis said.
I felt bad for Niall and Louis, but I also felt bad for Harry. I mean, so far I really didn't have uch of a reason to like Harry except for the fact that he handed me back my phone. Plus, Louis and Niall are my friends (I hope) and I really don't want to jepardize that. I just want everything to be okay.
I still had one more day to go before actual school started, and it was getting late. So I exchanged numbers with Niall and Louis and went back to my room to meet up with Danielle.
"So how did the end of your day go?" she asked me all ecited like.
"Good actualy. I met Louis and Niall, and they seemed to be really cool."
"I thought that you would like them. They are really sweet from when I've been around them with Liam. Louis is so hyper- but in a good way- and Niall is just a ball of sunshine." Danielle said swetly.
"Tell me, I heard about what happened between Niall, Louis, Liam, and.. Harry. What do you know about Harry?"
She got kind of quiet. Was this the reaction with everybody about him??
"Harry is very nice. From what I've seen. He just focuses a lot on his reputation. He wouldn't be caught dead being friends with people involved in the arts, all because of what happened his first year here unfortunately. I honestly just think he needs a little life in his life you know? He is just so, dark and cold. Like he's hurting but won't show it. He always has the tough too-cool-for-you image going on. Someone like you. Just a thought." Danielle added.
"Please, I don't think anything but dislike would come between me and Harry Styles. Plus, I think I kind of like Niall. That's subject to change although." I giggled with embarrassment,
"No! That would be so cute! You should definitely go for it. Just know that Niall is very serious about his music career." Danielle told me.
"Haha, alright. I'll keep that in mind. But I can see what I can do." I said with a slight wink. "This was a good talk Danielle, I'm glad that I can open up to you, and know you'll be my friend."
"That is no problem, I feel the same about you. Plus, we have many more people to meet. I think we'll be a-okay." She said smiling at me.
"Well, I have my choir audition tomorrow. So I should probably hit the hay. I hope I make the Chamber Choir.. Soo yeah." I said.
"That is going to be tough, but I believe in you!" Danielle said.
"Alright, goodnight Danielle."
"Nighty Reyna!"
And with that, I fell asleep and prepared for the big day ahead of me.
