Lost In The Music

Chapter Seven

*Harry's P.O.V*
"Stop it Louis!" I shouted. He was chasing me around the house while I was waiting for Savannah. Eleanor had gone over to her parents' house, asking Louis to tell Savannah and Riley that her and Perrie couldn't make it, so he was bored. At that moment, someone knocked on the door. Louis and I both looked at each other before we practically trampled each other to get to the door. Geez, we sounded like a herd of cattle that saw a snake or something. I pushed Louis over the couch and ran to the door. Breathless, I opened it. Whoa. She looked even prettier than when I first met her. A bag was slung over her narrow shoulders and she had her backpack. She was wearing some faded jean shorts, a white top, and worn-out tennis sneakers. I opened my mouth to greet her when Louis ran me down.
"Hello love. I'm Louis," he said, sticking his hand out to her. She shyly shook it and looked down at me. Literally.
"Hey Haz," she said, giggling. I got up, giving Louis a dirty look, and I shoved him to the side, and he ended up dangerously close to the living room TV.
"Hey Sav. Don't mind that doofus over there," I took her backpack for her and led her upstairs into the guest room. She started laughing as she put down her bag.
"I really appreciate you letting me stay here," she said, her bright green eyes meeting mine.
"Anything for you, love," I said, leading her into the living room.
"Did you eat yet?" I asked her. She shook her head. Louis popped up from behind the couch.
"Our guest is hungry Harry! That won't do! What do you want to eat?" We all decided on pizza. Savannah politely excused herself and left to go explore the house, and Louis came up to me with a slight smirk on his face after ordering the food.

"She is pretty cool, and she didn't go all fan girl on you. Do you like her?" I thought about it. She was gorgeous, friendly, and always laughing. I guess I did, but only a little. I still have to get to know her before I even think of developing feelings for her. But I still liked her, even as a friend, so I nodded. "So when are you gonna make a move?" He asked. I shrugged.
"I dunno, maybe on her birthday. It is a few weeks away. I could. . ." I started to mumble, thinking up of new ideas for asking her– if I started liking her in that way. I finally looked up when Louis nudged me; Savannah was standing there. She smiled at me.
"So, while we're waiting for the pizza, why don't we play truth or dare?" I suggested. Her face slightly fell. I suddenly remembered, and I immediately regretted what I'd just said.
"Oh, sorry about that. We can do something else."
"No, that's all right. . . just, no singing for me, ok?" she looked up at me with those stunning brown-rimmed green eyes.
"Of course," I steered her towards the couches. I'd just sat down next to her when the doorbell rang. Sighing, I got up and answered it. Riley was there, and she didn't look surprised to see me.

"Hey Harry. Is she already here?" I nodded, letting her come in.
"Is it ok if Riley stays here for a little while?" Savannah asked.
"Sure! The more the merrier!" I said. At that moment, Louis shuffled into the room.
"Hello! I'm Louis! But I'm already taken, so don't get any ideas," he told Riley. I could see her rolling her eyes, but she quickly smiled. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang again.
"Who could that be at 6:05 on a Thursday night?" I muttered. I opened the door to see the guys.
"Hey! What's up? Oh, warning, especially for Niall. You know the girl I was talking about earlier, the talented one?" They all nodded.
"Well, she's here, and her friend Riley is here too, and both of them are single," I directed the last part at Niall as I ushered them in.
"Guess what? The guys have decided to crash here for a while, and they're just in time for a nice game of truth or dare!" I announced. We all gathered around the couches and I began to introduce everyone.

*Savannah's P.O.V*
"Ok, that's Liam," Harry said, pointing to a muscular but slim guy with short brown hair and light brown eyes," He smiled at us.
"That's Zayn," Louis pointed at the guy with olive skin, chocolate brown eyes, and dark hair spiked up in a quiff. He winked at us while the other boys glared at him. He shrugged and said, "What?" They rolled their eyes.
"And last, but not least, that's Niall, also known as the Cookie and everything else Monster," Liam pointed at a guy who had dark brown hair with some blond mixed in, and the brightest baby-blue eyes I've ever seen. They were the color of the ocean sky in the summer, or the color of the water itself. Niall waved, raced off to the kitchen and returned with a takeout bag. Everyone looked at him.
"What? I haven't eaten since ten in the morning, and you have leftover Nandos!" He said, revealing an adorable Irish accent. I started laughing, and everyone joined in. Niall just looked clueless, wondering what was so funny. After we finally cooled down, Harry introduced us to the boys.

"That's Riley," he gestured to her. She grinned.
"And that's Savannah," he said, pointing to me. I shyly smiled and started fiddling with my hair. I'd never liked bring the center of attention, and having so many people staring at me made me kinda nervous.
"Just so you know, Louis' dating Eleanor, whom you'll eventually meet, and Zayn's with Perrie, a singer from Little Mix," Liam spoke up, pointedly looking at me and Riley. We shrugged.
"Now, let's get started on that truth or dare game, shall we?" I suggested. Everyone agreed and we got started. Zayn kicked off the game by asking Riley.

"Truth," she responded. Zayn rubbed his hands together, trying to think of a good question.
"Ok, do you like anyone here in this room?" Really Zayn? You just had to start with that question? I could see Riley started blushing.
"Uh, maybe, but I haven't really gotten to know any of you that well," she answered. All the boys wolf-whistled. Zayn opened his mouth, about to ask who it possibly was when Riley added, "But you can't ask who because that would be two questions."
Zayn's shoulders slumped. Not everyone figures out that loophole. I had to hand it to my best friend. She was really good at getting out of sticky situations. Maybe that's why she doesn't do her chores… Anyway, it was now her turn, and she picked Niall.

"Truth or dare?"
"Dare," he said, probably thinking he could handle anything Riley could think of.
"Ok, I dare you to not eat anything for, hmm. . . 6 hours. You can only have water," she said, a sly grin creeping up on her face. This time, the boys hooted. Dang, this girl was good. She would use your weakness against you. Niall stared at the fridge for a full 5 minutes until someone pulled him away.
"Fine. Let's see who's next. How about. . . Savannah." Shoot.
"What will it be?" He asked, glancing at the boys.
"Hmm. . . truth."
"Ok, if you could date any one of us right now, who would it be?" Cue the whistles.
"Umm," I nervously glanced over at Riley. She shot me a sympathetic smile.
"Well, I forgot who was single, so. . ." I trailed off, trying to redirect the conversation. Thank goodness it worked. While I was trying to not bring attention to myself, I caught Harry smirking at me.
"What?" I asked all innocent.
"I know what you're doing, and may I say you are great at it!" He whispered. I blushed. The other boys were too busy playfully arguing over which band mate would attract the most fans to pay attention to me, and Riley and Niall were chatting away about their favorite fast-food place, so it was just me and Harry.
"Thanks, I just don't feel comfortable answering question about boyfriends because of my last one," I bit my lip. Harry's face fell.
"Oh, I totally forgot about that. I apologize for. . . them," he said, glancing at the boys. I smiled.
"It's ok, let's just get back to the game." He went over to boys to tell them the game was continuing and we were starting on Liam.

They ran over to the couches like a pack of wolves. I was sitting in the middle of one, and the boys practically jumped on top of me. When I dared to open my eyes, Louis was halfway on a bean bag chair, Niall was sprawled on the floor with Zayn on top of him, Harry was standing to the side smirking at them, Riley was perched on top of the kitchen counter, and Liam was on top of me. His face turned red and he immediately jumped off and went to another couch.
"Sorry about that," he sheepishly said.
"It's ok. Now, where were we? Liam, I think."
