Two weeks
Chapter 3
I collapsed on the bed and sighed. Alaysha just laughed. I walked out of the room grabbing my bag to shower. I turned on the water undressing. I got in the warm water washing away the salt water. The glass door started steaming up as I washed. I heard the door knob shake.
"I'm in here!" I called but apparently not loud enough because the door busted open as i tried to cover myself with my hands. Liam stood there his mouth dropping open.
"I-I'm so sorry" he said not moving. My face burned with embarrassment. I was sure he could see everything through the slightly steamed door. I couldn't say anything. It felt like minutes passing, the water running over my bare body. Just as suddenly as he'd come in he turned on his heels and walked out. I finished my shower and turned the water off stepping onto the cold tile, but still felt the heat in my cheeks. I wrapped myself in my towel and ran to our room where I'd forgot my clothes. The boys' door was open and I caught a glimpse of Liam, but quickly averted my eyes shutting our door.
Mrs. Julian had just woken up in time to take us out to dinner. We piled back in to the car. I was careful to avoid Liam, still embarrassed from earlier. Dinner was awkward to say the least. Liam had tried to talk to me, but I'd gave him a one word reply and continued playing with my salad. I was mortified. He's the first guy to have seen me naked and I was definitely not ready for it. It was going to be a long couple weeks. The waiter brought our bill and we left. I was ready for the day to be over.
We arrived back at our house.
"Let's go get ice cream" Luke said. I glared at him even though he had no idea what he had done wrong.
"I'm pretty tired" I said even though it was 7:30. I was ready to crawl into bed.
"Yeah me too" I couldn't believe my ears. No Liam go with them I wanted to say, but I didn't. Alaysha, Luke and their mother walked out the door and I was alone with Liam.
"Well, I'm going to go to bed I think." I started walking away, but I felt a hand around my wrist. He pulled me towards him. We still stood in the entrance. I was inches away from him.
"You have nothing to be embarrassed about" Liam whispered. I stood there incapable of moving, transfixed by his brown eyes. His hand left my wrist and slipped around my back pulling me even closer. It was as if he wasn't sure if I would let him kiss me after what had happened. I felt safe in his strong hands, his warm breath comforted me. I don't know which one of us leaned, but the few inches between us disappeared. His soft lips pressed against mine. His hands around my lower back. It was innocent. I forgot about earlier. It was so different from the first sloppy experience. My fingers locked behind his neck and I smiled, my lips still on his.
