I put in the movie and sit back down on my bed. As soon as I get comfortable, Louis hands me my phone. One new text. "When can we meet?" I get from the number that I put down as Niall. "Never." I type. Louis looks over at my phone. "Give me his number." Louis signs after he pauses the movie. "Okay." I sign and say. I give him my phone. He puts the number in his phone and starts typing. "Hi this is Delilah's best friend. You should think about what you say before you say it." I watch him type. He types my address in and tells him to come. "What are you doing?" I sign to him. "I'm going to meet this guy. I want to see who he thinks he is." We play the movie and wait. Louis shakes me to tell me something. I turn to him and he signs for the door. Trever comes to my bedroom door. "There is someone at the door for you." He signs. We go downstairs. We go outside in the front to see Niall there. Louis turns to face me. "His name is Niall right?" He asks, signing it to me. "Yes." Is the only sign I do. "I'm sorry, but I can't understand." Louis translates for Niall. "You need to learn some manners. You're so unlucky I'm going to be at that school next week. She is a wonderful person, but the only way you could posibly see that is if you get over her being deaf." Louis tells Niall, still translating for both him and Niall. "I tried to go out-" "No. You don't even know her. you have to learn sign language and be her friend and help her through times like you and be the shoulder she cries on and be the friend she calls when she can't sleep or has a nightmare and be the person who lies in her bed stroking her hair so she'll go back to sleep. You have to be the friend she came running to when her father skipped out on one of the best people ever. You have to trade schools and move just so you can stay by her side. You have to be the friend that-" He cuts himself off to look down at the ground then towards me. "That what Louis?" I ask. "Nothing." He signs. "I would- " Niall begins. "Don't even try. I like someone else." I half tell the truth. I like Niall a bit, but I prefer another guy. "I won't give up. This has only just begun." Niall says.
