Lani POV:

He's so nice to me... I'm not used to that. He held me in his arms for a while... just stroking my hair, when we heard a knock at the door.
"Come in," I said.
Louis slowly opened the door, "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah. Niall definitely knows how to cheer someone up." I could feel Niall smile.
Louis sat on the bed next to us, "Well, he is the guy to go to when you're feeling down," he grinned, "I just wanted to come in here and say that you were amazing. You played guitar blindfolded! And successfully, might I add. And anyone who doesn't see that obviously doesn't know talent when they see it."
I smiled slightly, "Thanks, Louis. That means a lot." I got up and gave him a huge hug.
"No problem," he hugged me back, "I'll let you two have some privacy now." Backing into the door, he left.
I cuddled up to Niall again and closed my eyes. "Niall?"
He turned his face towards me, "Yeah?"
"If I tell you something... You won't tell anybody, right?"
He took out his pinky, "Pinky promise." He makes me smile when he does stuff like that.
I took his pinky in mine and began, "Okay. Well, um, I don't like talking about my dad because-"
"Lani, you don't have to tell me this..." he interrupted.
"No, but I want to," I urged and he nodded.
"Okay."
"I don't like talking about my dad because he abused me. Not in the traditional, physical way. Mentally and emotionally. He told me I was stupid, fat... All these things. I even remember this one time when I got my hair cut really short for Locks of Love... He told me that he hated me and that it was against my culture. Which is true, but if it's for a good cause, it's okay. You see, Hawaiian girls are supposed to keep their hair long as apart of their culture. I just never understood though. And when I lost weight because of what he kept calling me... fat... ugly... stupid...., he asked why I was anorexic. I was just so shocked and I didn't know what to do, because it was true. So, I resulted to something that I regret," I pulled down my sleeve of my sweatshirt. He looked at me with tears in his eyes and he pulled the sleeve back up.
"I'm so sorry," Was all he could say., "I wish I could've saved you."
My eyes were sad as I stared back at him, "I'm okay, now," I reassured him, tucking his hair behind his ear, "I'm not telling you this so that you will have pity on me... I'm saying this because that's what my song was about. It was about him."
He put his forehead against mine and then lightly kissed it. "And you were brave for singing that to us."
We just laid there for what seemed like hours until Niall took me back to my hotel.
"Thank you for everything tonight. It was perfect." I told him as we held hands in front of my door.
"Thank you for joining me," he said, "Hey, can I have your number before I go?"
"Of course." I gave him my phone so he would put his contact information in .
"Okay, I'll see you later, Lani." he said sadly as I looked back into his eyes. His eyes are so mesmerizing, I get lost in them every time. I got on my tiptoes and kissed him... Just like we did before.
"Goodnight, Niall." I smiled and headed into the room.
I closed the door quietly, just in case my mom was asleep. But she was nowhere to be found. Hm, it is 10:20. She should be here...
I got out my phone to call her when I saw the screen. It read: Niall <3 <3 and his phone number.
I smiled and decided to just wait for her to come home.
