Up all night
chapter 11
Training was on and I had to learn my reflexes quick. It was easy to guess how much strength to use on vampires. I could tell that Felix, the tracker, would be easy and difficult put together-normal. “Well done, Bree! I see we also have a fighter in our family.” Felix complimented.
~Iris’ pov~
I haven’t heard from Bree in ages! I mean I have sent her loads of texts and all I get back is . . . silence! I sent her a text the other day saying ‘hey going Italy you are invited!’ and then what is her reply, nothing! I mean it’s actually astonishing how rude it is to ignore me. Anyway I have officially gone off Bree, so I got off the plane on Wednesday (its Friday now) and saw a huge sign saying: ‘Red mania, dress red, see red.’ “Oh wow that looks fun!” I screeched to myself. The sun was a burning hot and there was a perfect chill in the light wind. When it came to Friday news broke out that up to 100 bodies had disappeared. I took at deep breath and walked to the clock tower. Inside the clock tower was a room full of people in black, but their eyes were a realistic red.
“Why hello Iris. Isn’t it your old friend Bree standing in front of you?” said a stranger who looked like Bree in a melodic voice.
“Bree, what is wrong with you?” I asked worriedly. Her mouth widened and I saw medium sized fangs. I stepped back to have by my side in seconds with her teeth sank into my neck. My heart pounded as I found myself feeling weaker. My eyes rolled back into my head and they never opened again. Fire and blackness was all I could feel. Death seemed interesting; I mean all my long life memories flipping through my mind. Even when I was a baby, me in my ballet uniform. Then I was awake again. I was in a dark hole but as I looked around the room brightened on my head was a halo, wings on my back and a flowing dress around my body. I’m dead, I’m an angle. I wonder if Bree is in here somewhere.
