Amanda's POV:
I took off down the long hallway, not daring to try the front door. With my luck I would run smack into them. "GET BACK HERE!" Yelled Vicky from not far away. I had to get out now!
I heard the front door bang open and someone yell,"where is she!!" I ducked into the nearest room. I could hear yelling downstairs, an turned to take in my surrondings. I found the light switch, and found myself in a room that looked like a prison.
There was one flaw the the "prison" layout. The window. It was small, but I was pretty sure it was my only hope. I could hear them not to far away, so I lodged the heavy chair under the doorknob. Hopefully that would hold them off.
I moved to the window, and pushed it open. I used another chair to get myself up to the window. I heard the doorknob jiggling, and panicked. I practically leaped through the window.
Luckily there was a small ledge. I climbed out, andshut the window. I head the chair crash to the floor, and I moved away from the window. The ledge was only about 3 inches wide. There was nothing for me to hold onto. This would be intresting.
I slowly edged along the edge, not looking down. My heart pounded, and my hand were sweating like crazy. This reminded me too much of the bridge. I reached the edge of the building.
There was a tree a few feet away from the house. However getting to it would require me to risk the jump. I heard a shout, and saw 2 members of the Wanted, Max and Jay, moving across the ledge.
They seemed timid too. Nervous of the height I guess. My option was jump, or be captured. I knew what I had to do. I looked down at the cast on my arm, and felt the bandage around my upper half.
I sighed, and pushed off from the ledge.
