Chapter 1
Rachel’s p.o.v
Niall, Niall open up.” I shouted banging on the door.
“No I can’t.” Niall said.
“Well tell us what’s wrong.” Liam said.
“The craving.” Niall said.
“Niall let us help you,” I said. Knocking on the door.
“NIALL, NIALL” I shouted I kicked the door down and I saw the window open.
“He jumped.” Louis said and I nodded.
“We need to find him; he will kill anyone in sight, anything for blood.” I said.
“Rachel with this bond thing you and Niall have, can you find where he is.” Harry said.
“I will try.” I said I shut my eyes and I could feel his hunger. “I can feel his hunger and he is starving.”
“Can you see where he is?” Liam said.
“Niall is agitated, he is angry and on edge if we try to stop him he will put up a fight.” I said.
“But where is he.” Harry said. I focused more on Niall and it was as if I was seeing what he was seeing.
“He’s running.” I said.
“Where?” they said
“In the woods, wait he stopped near the edge where there is a road.” I said,
“And what’s he doing.” Harry said.
“I did exactly what he did when I was first changed he is going to lie in the middle of the road or jump out in front of a car so that someone will get out the car to see if he is ok and he will drink them dry.” I said.
“Lead the way Rach.” Louis said and I jumped out of the window and waited for them to follow,
Louis, Harry and Zayn followed me and we ran, Zayn was running very fast he was actually catching up to us and as we ran into the woods it felt so familiar.
“We are running the path Niall ran.” I said.
“so it’s not far then.” Louis said.
“Yeah it will take a few minutes to catch up.” I said. we were running till we got the end of the woods right next to the small deserted road.
“We’re too late.” I said.
“Niall did this how he can be so reckless.” Harry said.
“I know, you guys bury the bodies somewhere and I will find Niall.” I said and ran off I tried to follow his scent, but I stopped in the middle of a deserted street I heard a loud crash of thunder that made me jump and it started to chuck it down of rain.
“Great the perfect weather.” I mumbled to myself I shut my eyes again to see where he was and he was in an Alley way crying. I was snapped out of my daze when a loud crash happened again, but this time it was a huge tree had fallen right next to me.
“Rach are you ok, that tree barely missed you.” Louis said running in and stopping.
“Yeah I’m fine Niall is In an alley way, we need to get to him now.” I said and we ran off to find Niall again, I stopped just out of the alley where Niall was sitting.
“He’s crying.” Zayn said.
“Yeah I know, let me go alone ok.” I said to them and they nodded and I started to walk down the alley to see Niall.
“Niall.” I said softly.
“What do you want?” he spat not even looking up.
“Hey calm down, I’m just here to see you and help you come on lets go back to the hotel.” I said.
“No why should I I’m a monster I just killed four people.” Niall said in tears.
“You’re not a monster Ni, please calm down.” I said.
“No I am a monster didn’t you hear me I killed four innocent people, look I’m covered in innocent blood and the bodies are just there, just leave me alone.” He said running off at vampire speed again. I walked up to Louis and Zayn.
“He ran off again and he Is extremely upset he keeps calling himself a monster.” I said.
“I know we heard it.” Louis said.
“And if he isn’t home by sunrise he will burn in the sun. Wait we need to find him, I don’t think he realises or if he does then he is going to kill himself.” I said.
“You can feel his pain can’t you?” Harry said and I nodded.
“It’s really bad it’s all negative emotions and they are working overtime and its driving me mad I need to turn it off it’s hurting my head.” I said Louis grabbed my arms which I had put on my head, he pulled them away.
“Don’t focus on it; ignore the feelings focus on something else.” Louis said. And I focused on where I was and it worked I couldn’t feel what he was feeling.
“Has it stopped?” Zayn said and I nodded.
“Right we need to find him have you got vervain.” I said.
“No why?” Harry said.
“We need to vervain him when we get him so he will pass out and we can get him home before the sun comes up.” I said.
“I will run home and get some, text me where you are so Lou and I can find you.” Harry said.
“Wait why do I have to go?” Louis whined.
“In case we run into Niall or in case something happens.” Harry said and grabbed Louis arm, and they sped off.
“Do you know where Niall would go when he is upset?” I asked.
“Usually he would go to get food or he would get to the park or a quiet place back home.” Zayn said.
“We will try central park.” I said and we both sped off to central park.
“Zayn stay in the shadows and stay quiet ok.” I said and we both started to sneak around the park.
“Rach try to find where he is by seeing what he sees.” Zayn said and I shut my eyes I focused on Niall I saw the big lake in central park and he was sitting on a bench staring at the lake, but he was crying still.
“He is at the big lake here.” I said.
“Should we wait for Harry and Louis to come back or should we go and get him.” Zayn said.
“We need to get him, the sun is going to start to come up in half an hour and if he isn’t home he will burn.” I said.
“Haven’t you got a ring for him?” Zayn said.
“no I gave my last ones to Harry and Louis when the hunters took their old ones I guess since we have no vervain I’m just gonna have to snap his neck, he will be fine in the morning.” I said.
We ran to the big lake and Niall was sitting on the bench he was still crying and the sky was starting to get lighter.
“Niall don’t run please listen, the sun is starting to come up and you’re going to burn if you don’t come home right now, please listen Ni.” I said and he ignored me.
“I can’t live like this, Rach I can’t keep killing people.” Niall said.
“Ok we have already been through this whole suicide thing yesterday, please don’t do it again I just got you back and I’m not letting you go, I’m so sorry for this Ni I love you.” I said and snapped his neck.
