"Now Sabe your under my roof now. Theres gonna be a few changes" said my 'dad' Simon.
"Listen I don't need you. You haven't been in my life for 15 years. If you think i'm gonna do everything you say or call you dad your wrong. You haven't earned the title dad. A dad is a person who protects his child and is their for them and you've done niether. So I could care less about your 'changes' " I told him.
"Sabe I know I haven't been there and i'm sorry. But I had to work" he said.
"Work, work, work. You always have work. While your out there watching other peoples kids trying to descover the next big thing mom and I needed you to be there with us. If you were there mom would still be alive. She wouldn't have had to rush to pick me up from school in the rain. You couldv'e picked me up but where were you? Doing 'work' " I said.
I saw some guilt wash over his face.
"Please Sabe let me start over" he said.
"You wanna start over 15 years later? I'm almost 18 then It'll be legal for me to not have a parent" I spat.
"Then you had the nerve to show up to my moms funeral when your part of the reason she died? You deserve to burn in hell" I continued.
"I'm sorry Sabe. I really am. I wish I couldv'e been there for you guys. You think I like hearing my friends talking about how pretty their daughter looked on prom night? Showing me pictures of her in her first play? Looking at videos of her playing dress-up with her dog in her mothers closet when she was little? You think I like hearin that? It makes me feel even worse about myself. But I needed a way to provide for you and her. She only made $11 an hour. I left for a better life for us" he said.
I saw a tear slip from his eye.
"No you left for a better life for you" I said coldly.
I turned and ran to my room. I shut and locked my door. I sat on my bed crying and holding a picture of my mother. I looked up at the sky.
"I miss you" I whispered. "Mom I need you. I can't live without you. Mom...I need your help."
I eventually fell asleep and woke up to a knock on my door.
"Sabe dinners ready" said Simon.
I know my mom would have wantd me to try and get along with him. The only reason I came with him was for her. I opened my door and gave him a hug.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"No I dserved it" he said.
I pulled away. I followed him to the kitchen were he had cooked roast and mashed potatoes. I ate quickly.
"I'm gonna have some guest over" Simon said after dinner.
"Who?" I asked.
"A band from X-Factor. One Direction" he said.
"Their pretty good. You taught them well" I smiled.
"Thank you" he smiled back.
I heard a knock at the door.
"Can you get it while I start the dishwasher" he asked.
I nodded and went to the door. I opened it and saw 5 handosme guys. They all stared at me.
"Come in" I said.
They all came in and sat on the couch. Simon walked in.
"Hey boys, i'd like you to meet my daughter Sabe" he said.
"Hi i'm Liam. This is Harry, Zayn, Louis, and Niall" Liam said.
"I CALL DIBS!" said Harry.
"No I did!" they argued and fought.
"Boys break it up! You can't call 'dibs' on my daughter. She dates who she wants to dat in this band. IF she wants anyone from this band" Simon said.
"Right so Zayn get off Louis' hair" said Liam.
"I want you boys to show her around tomorrow will you? I hope that won't be to much trouble" he said.
"Not at all Simon" said Liam.
"Great! I'll leave you to start getting to know each other" Simon said.
He started walking away. I grabbed his arm He looked at me.
"They don't bite" he said.
"I might" said Harry and Simon raised an eyebrow.
I sat down and Simon kept walking.
"Do any of you have a phone I wanna call my boyfriend and tell him I left my phone so i'm getting a new one" I asked.
"You have a boyfriend" asked Harry as they all looked sad.
"No" I luaghed.
"We'd be great together! We both like jokes" said Louis
I smiled these guys are funny.
