Lost Friendship or Lost Love?
Chapter 6
Harry's POV
Today is Lea's birthday and I'm with her walking around the mall. She thinks everyone forgot her birthday except me and her mother but what she doesn't know it's that everyone is preparing a surprise party for her at my house. She also thinks that Jessica is visiting a cousin in Ireland with her parents but she is also at my house preparing the party.
"Hey Haz, are you hungry? Because I am starving." Lea said looking around. In that moment I received a message.
Jess: You can come home. Everything is ready ;)
"Great because my mom just texted me saying she wants you to go have lunch with us."
"Does she have a cake?" She said smirking.
"She must have" I said with a laugh.
"Great, lets go." She grabbed my hand and started walking towards the exit.
When we arrived at my house I searched for my keys in my pockets and when I found them I put them in the lock and opened the door. When I turned the lights on, everyone appeared from their hidding places and yell: Surprise!
Annaleah's POV
When Harry opens the door all of my closest friends and family appears and yell: Surprise!
"Oh my god! What is this?" I said with my mouth open.
"It's a birthday surprise party you idiot." Jess said walking in my direction.
"Jessie!" I hugged her. "I tought you were in Ireland"
"Nop, I'm right here."
"And so am I." Alex said behind Jess.
"Alex!" I hugged him too. "I tought you forgot."
"How could I? You talked about this all week." He laughed.
"Who prepared all this?" I asked smiling
"We did all the work but Harry had the idea."
I hugged him. "Thank you." I said into his ear.
"You're welcome." He said too.
I kissed him on the cheek and then got back my attention to the party.
Ãfter that everyone else came to hug me like my mom, jessica's parents, Harry's mom, sister and stepdad and then some other relatives.
Hours passed and the party was being awsome.
"Cake time!" Anne shouts and my mom enters the room with a rectangular cake.
When I saw the cake I couldn't believe it. "Oh my god!" It had a picture (edible) of me, Jess, Harry and Alex in the last day of school. There was a water fight and we were all soaked. I was on Harry's shoulders and Jess was on Alex's. Me and Jess were holding water pistols throwing water to each other while the boys were looking up at us laughing. "I love this picture."
"I know honey." My mom giggled.
After the cake, the presents came.
My mom Offered que me the dress I'd been lusting for months. Jess's parents offered me a frame with several spaces filled with pictures of me and Jess throughout our childhood. Harry's mother, sister and stepfather gave me a sweater saying 'follow your dreams' and surprisingly served me perfectly. Alex gave me a cap saying 'SWAG' and Jess gave me a bracelet with pendants in the form of musical notes.
"I'll give my own later." Harry Whispered into my ear. I just nodded
However, Jess, Alex and Harry decided to give me a present together. A photo album of the three of us. At first, appeared pictures of Alex as a kid, then photos of Jess, Harry and I also as a kid. Then appeared random photos of us in pairs and then some pictures of us together.
"Hey, half of the album is empty." I said smiling.
"We know." Jess laughed. "It's for you to put some future photos of memorable moments like these."
"Ow thanks guys." We made a group hug.
With the presents done everyone got back to their conversations.
"Hey Lea?" Harry said
"Yeah?"
"Follow me." He said grabbing my hand and pushing me towards his bedroom.
"Ah ok."
"Why did you brought me to your bedroom Haz?" I said with a weird look.
"Go to the front of the mirror." He asked.
"Ok." I did what he asked. "What now?"
"This is for you to remember me when I'm not around, that way, you will know that I am always by your side every step of the way."
He put a necklace with the letter 'H' on it around my neck..
"Oh my God Harry, it's beautiful." I turned around to face him. "I love it." I hugged him. "Thank you. Not only for the necklace."
"You're welcome Le." He smiled showing off those cute dimples.
"I'll never take it off, unless you ask me to of course."
"I think that won't be necessary." We both laughed.
"C'mon, my mom will freak out if she finds out I'm not down there." I smiled and then grabbed his hand and we went down stairs.
'Why do I have this strange feeling in my stomach every time I'm around him?'
A few hours later...
"Hey mom, can I invite my friends to come over for dinner?" I pleaded my mom doing my infallible puppy eyes
"Sure honey, we could just order some pizza." She said shrugging her shoulders.
"Thaks mom." I gave her a peck on the cheek and smiled. "Love you" I said walking away.
When I saw Jessica I went running towards her and I jumped to her back. Of course, a second later we both fell to the ground. Fortunately, not everyone noticed.
"What was that for?" She said smiling.
"No particular reason." I giggled.
"You're an arse you know that?"
"I love you too" I said smirking while getting up.
"Shut up and help me." She reached out for help.
I helped her getting up. "So, I'm inviting the lads for dinner, do you wanna come too?"
"I'd love too but I can't. The excuse I gave you about going to Ireland for a few days wasn't totaly a lie. My flight leaves in 7 hours. Some cousin is sick and we have to go visit him." for the tone of her voice I could see that she wasn't very happy with it.
"Wait, you won't go with me to support Harry?" I widened my eyes.
"I can't. Did you gave him the letter yet?"
"No, I was going to do it tonight in front of you and Alex."
"Well, in that case count me out. Sorry Leah."
"It's ok. I'm gonna talk to Alex now." I looked around looking for Alex. He was around the cake, I guess cutting another piece of it. "Hey, jess?"
"Yeah?" She turned away from the snacks to look at me
"Don't leave without saying goodbye ok? You know I don't like when people leave me."
"Of course not. Don't worry Leah." She winked
"Thanks."
I went over to Alex and he was now eating THE piece of cake I was talking about.
"Another one Alex?" I said with a giggle.
"This is the best cake I've eaten in my whole life!" He said, putting his head back and yelling the last part.
I giggled and so did he.
"Dinner, at my place, ok?" I made my puppy eyes again.
"Can't babe. I have dinner plans, sorry." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Who's more important than me?" I put my hands on my hips.
"My godparents." He giggled. "They're in town visiting. I already cancelled lunch, I can't cancel dinner too. Sorry Leah."
I groaned. "Fine. Wait, you didn't tell anything to Harry right?" I raised one eyebrow
"No I didn't. But you didn't gave him the letter yet?" He made a strange face.
"I was going to do it tonight after dinner in front of you and Jess but she has to go to Ireland so I'll have to do it by myself." I sighed.
"Hey, you had the idea so it's kinda fair."
"Shut up." I giggled. "But you'll go with me to suport him right?"
"Yeah sure. I'll try."
"You better do Wild." I smirked
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He rolled his eyes. "Go talk to Harry before he makes dinner plans too." He giggled
I hugged him. "Have a good dinner Alex."

'Now, where is that curly head?' I looked around trying to find him. Finally, I spotted him talking to my mom.
"Talking about me?" I said when I reached them.
"The world doesn't spin around you sweetheart." My mom said to me laughing.
"Oh, whatever." I rolled my eyes.
"What did Jessica and Alex said?" My mom asked
"They have plans. Jessica is goint to Ireland to visit some sick cousin and Alex is going to meet with his godparents." I sighed.
"What about you sweetie?" My mom asked Harry.
"Ah, I have no idea what you're talking about Mrs. Rhimes."
"Yeah mom I was going to ask him now." I raised my eyebrows
"Oh ok so, Harry do you want to have dinner with us?"
"I would love to Mrs. Rhymes, let me just talk to my mom." Harry said with that smile that could fascinate anyone.
"Sure honey."
Harry turned to me and smiled. 'Oh no, here comes that feeling again'.
He went to talk with his moom and a few minutes later he was back.
"So?" I asked curious.
"She said there's no problem."
"Perfect. Cause I don't wanna be only with my mom on the night of my birthday." I giggled and so did he.
"So, I'm kinda of a saviour ah?" He smirked.
"Yeah, kinda of." I smiled.
We stood there looking into each other's eyes until my mom decided to broke the moment.
"So sweetie, what did your mother say?" My mom asked Harry
"She said it was fine. That I could have dinner there." He said but an instant later he looked at me and smiled.
"Great. Now excuse me, I'm gonna get back to over there. Have fun." With that my mom disappeared and left me and Harry in an awkward silence that doesn't last for long thanks to Harry.
"So, what's dinner?"
"Pizza."

"Hey, do you know where Alex is?" Harry asked.
"Last time I saw him he was near the cake."
"He is eating cake again?" He widened his eyes.
"Yap. He said it was the best cake he had ever eaten in his whole life. Those were his exact words."

The hours continued to pass and people began to leave. Alex and his parents had already gone as well as other friends and family. There were only Jessica's parents, Jessica herself, who lived in the house of course and me and my mother.
"Hey Leah, I have to get going, or else I'm gonna miss my flight." Jess said to me.

I went downstairs and found my mother lying on the couch watching tv.
"So, I guess Harry isn't here yet?" I sat next to my mother on another couch.

DING DONG
"I'll get it." I told my mom, jumping out of the couch as soon as I heard the doorbell.
"Finally Harold." I said when I saw Harry behind my front door.

"That must be the pizza guy." My mom said.
"You want me to get it? I asked mom.
"No sweetie, I'll go."
"Honey, come here." My mom shouted from the kitchen once she got there with the two pizzas. I went to the kitchen.
"Yes mom?" I asked.
"Grab some napkins and one of the pizzas and help me bring 'em to the living room."
I did what she asked. We both grabbed some napkins and one of the pizzas and went to the living room.
"Ready to attack?" I asked Harry, entering the room.
"Oh I was born ready, baby." He sat up and rubbed his hands together when I landed the pizzas on the table.
Me and my mother looked at each other and giggled. Then, we started eating our pizza.
Ok, we finished eating now so I think it's a good time to give the news to Harry but I needed an excuse to drag him to my room. Oh, I got it!
"Ah mom, I'm going to show Harry how my room is." I said to her.

"Yeah. It was like a birthday present from my aunt that is also my godmother." I told him.

"Hey, do you know where Alex is?" Harry asked.
"Last time I saw him he was near the cake."
"He is eating cake again?" He widened his eyes.
"Yap. He said it was the best cake he had ever eaten in his whole life. Those were his exact words."
"Ok." He made a weird face. "I'm gonna talk to him ok?"
"Sure." I smiled
He smiled back and then he went to Alex.
I took advantage of the moment and went to Jessica...
The hours continued to pass and people began to leave. Alex and his parents had already gone as well as other friends and family. There were only Jessica's parents, Jessica herself, who lived in the house of course and me and my mother.
"Hey Leah, I have to get going, or else I'm gonna miss my flight." Jess said to me.
"I wish you did." I hugged her.
"That makes two." She hugged me tighter.
"I'm gonna miss you."
"Me too" She let go of the hug."Ok, I have to go now. Bye."
"Have a safe trip babe."
"I will." She started to walk away.
"Hey, we'll do Skype everyday ok?"
"Absolutely." She winked.
I saw her and her parents leaving the party so that meant it was time to go home.
"Mom, let's get going?" I interrupted her conversation with Anne.
"Sure honey, let me just grab my purse." She went looking for her purse while I was looking for Harry.
"Ah Anne, do you know where Harry is?" I asked Harry's mom since I couldn't find that curly head.
"Always talking about me right Bells?" Harry appeared behind me.
"I was just asking where you were so we could leave." I rolled my eyes.
"I still have to change cause I smell really badly." He said smelling his shirt.
"I noticed." I giggled.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but, why did he called you Bells?" Anne asked.
"My full name is Annaleah Bella Rhimes. That's why." I said smiling.
"You have a beautiful name Annaleah."
"Thank you Anne." I smiled to her. "Ah Harry, we're gonna get going, don't take too long ok? I'm starving." I said putting my hand over my stomach.
He giggled. "I won't. I Promise."
"Ok. Goodbye Anne." I hugged her. "Goodbye Robin."
"Bye sweetie. And the rest of a happy day." They both said.
"Thank you. Do you know where Gemma is? I wanted to say goobye to her."
"I'm right here babe." Gemma ALSO appeared behind me.

"Bye Leah and happy birthday." She hugged me.

"Bye." I said while leaving Harry's house with my mom. They chorused a 'goodbye' while I was closing the door.
"My feet are killing me!" I said when we reached home.
"Honey, go take a shower and take your presents to your room please."

I went downstairs and found my mother lying on the couch watching tv.
"So, I guess Harry isn't here yet?" I sat next to my mother on another couch.
"Nope, but he must be almost here honey. Be patient." She said without looking at me.
I groaned. "Uhm, fine. I'm just starving." I crossed my legs.
DING DONG
"I'll get it." I told my mom, jumping out of the couch as soon as I heard the doorbell.
"Finally Harold." I said when I saw Harry behind my front door.
"Sorry, can I come in now?" He pouted to me.
"Do I have a choice?" I said sarcastically.
"Not really, no." He looked at me at me and then giggled.
"Come in." I opened the door further so he could pass.
"Hi Mrs. Rhimes." Harry said to my mother when he saw her.
"Hello honey." My mom said while she got up for Harry to sit.
I went over to the phone and started to order our pizzas.
"Harry, what tipe of pizza do you want?" I asked him
"Ah, a double cheese pizza please." He smiled.
"Mom?" I asked again.
"The same sweetie."
"Ok, so it's two large double cheese pizzas." I said on the phone. I gave the address and they said they will be here in 20 minutes. "Thank you." I said before I hanged up.
I sat next to Harry because my mother was now to take my place and before I started watching tv.
"Hey Bells?" Harry said
"What?" I said without looking at him.
"Did you shower?"
"What?!" I widened my eyes to his question.
"Because you smell a lot better." He started laughing.
"You're crazy." I said trying to contain my laugh. Unfortunately, I let out a giggle when I smiled. "Did you shower?" I asked with a smirk.
"Yeah, why?" He smiled showing of his dimples.
"Because you smell exactly the same." I started laughing when I saw his face turning into green.
"Oh, I get it. This is one of our another prank pacts. Right?" He said making a weird face.
"N-no Harry, it isn't." I said between laughts.
"Oh." He smelled his shirt and then made a weird face again.
"You smelled the same because you never smelled bad." I continued to laught.

"You two look adorable." Whit all of this I forgot my mom was in the same room as us. Me and Harry looked at each other and giggled. Yeah, we were both really embarassed.
DING DONG
"That must be the pizza guy." My mom said.
"You want me to get it? I asked mom.
"No sweetie, I'll go."
"Honey, come here." My mom shouted from the kitchen once she got there with the two pizzas. I went to the kitchen.
"Yes mom?" I asked.
"Grab some napkins and one of the pizzas and help me bring 'em to the living room."
I did what she asked. We both grabbed some napkins and one of the pizzas and went to the living room.
"Ready to attack?" I asked Harry, entering the room.
"Oh I was born ready, baby." He sat up and rubbed his hands together when I landed the pizzas on the table.
Me and my mother looked at each other and giggled. Then, we started eating our pizza.
Ok, we finished eating now so I think it's a good time to give the news to Harry but I needed an excuse to drag him to my room. Oh, I got it!
"Ah mom, I'm going to show Harry how my room is." I said to her.
"You changed it?" Harry asked me.
"Yeah. It was like a birthday present from my aunt that is also my godmother." I told him.
"Sure, you two can go I'll just clean this up." She said grabbing stuff from the table.
"Thanks mom." I grabbed Harry by the hand and took him to my room.

"What is it?" He said grabbing the letter.
"The date."
"The date for what?" He asked with a weird look.
"Just open it." I said pointing to the envelope.
He opened the letter and I started biting my nails (my stupid addiction) when he started reading it.
While he was reading the letter, his eyes widened up more and more.
"You signed me up for X-factor?" He said when he finished reading the letter.
"Yeah. Are you mad at me?" I asked nervous.
"Mad? Of course not." He hugged me and lifted me of the ground and twirled me. I started laughing. "Thank you." He said when he put me on the ground without breaking the hug.
"You do not have to thank me. I made a promise, I'm just doing my duty." I said with a giggle.
"Oh, whatever. Thanks anyways."
And then we stayed there for an indefinite time...
